What is ransomware? And How does it work?

Malicious software has attacked Britain’s health service and companies in Spain, Russia, the Ukraine and Taiwan.

What is it and how is it holding data to ransom?

It encrypts your data and If you really need them, you will have no choice but pay a ransom to the hacker bitcoin address otherwise, you won't get the decryption key and your files will lost.

Why don't use Google.com for your own good, you can even search it in any wikipedia sites or some online dictionary ::)

That is malicious malware that can harm your computer and make your files currupted and this is one of strongest virus right now that is why becareful on clicking some link posted in any website you visited.

Once your computer was infected with this virus you should need to contact the creator of this virus and pay huge amount of money to removed that in your computer.

Wanna Cry is not actual anymore, at least not in some biger extend. It's a malicious software from cryptolocker family that encrypts all data on your computer. The bad thing is that there is no way to decript your files unless you get the key. To do that crimials often want to be paid, that is also why is often called ransomware.
Anyway, I strongly suggest to make the back up that is the way to have your files safe and you will not be forced to pay to the criminals.

WannaCry Ransomware is something that became popular last year April - May. It's a malware that encrypts your entire, again entire data, and no one can decrypt your data except for that of the hacker. You pay these hackers ransom for you to get your files back or you just sit back hoping to get your data, which will never happen. These hackers made a hell a lot of money, in fact they easily became millionaires as this malware has been on the spread ever since and almost all countries have been affected. One of the main reasons why bitcoin became so popular last year and its price hike.

It is a virus that attacks computer running in microsoft windows OS. It encrypts all your data, it is possible for you to decrypt SOME of your files, not all UNLESS you pay for it (just like a ransom). They will give a timeframe which is usually just days and you have to pay them in bitcoin and they will decrypt all your files.
