Which one is better? Investing in coins in top 100 in market cap or coins in low marketcap? Coins in top 100 can go up steadily but we can gain much more profit by investing coins with low market cap in a short time. But it can be more risky. What is your opinion?

Top-100 coins already made their x100-500 and has small chances to grow up in the future. Better to buy new gems from ICO or after ICO immediately because they will make x100 in future and go to TOP-100

While i'm not entirely agreed with how many potential growth new coins have with this opinion, I do support a choice to buy or invest in a new coin that has a potential to growth (especially if you are a long-term holder). It might not give you x100 growth, maybe it won't even reach x10, but that is still a big number isn't it?

It is entirely dependent on your goals, pal. If you want less risk, less return go for top coins. If you want high risk, high return go low. And make a combo if you want something in the middle. This is decades old strategy.
Keep in mind that for low cap coins there is scarce information and you have to spend much more time digging for info in order to research them.

Coins in the top 100 or top 10 are there for a reason. In my opinion find a coin with the best platform for developers because that is the network that will get used the most and will therefore be the most valuable *cough* ethereum *cough*.

I believe in diversifying and I am holding various coins. I have mostly Ethereum, Bitcoin, Cardano, NEO and couple small ones. I had a great return from the known coins and not so bad of the rest.

I suggest you split your investment and buy some of the top ones and some of The Others.

that depends on you. You can invest in both top 100 and on low market cap as long as it will double your ROI. Just make sure that when you invest, invest in a legit project. Investing is too risky whether it is high or low market cap. Just invest what you can afford to lose and look for a good project that will give you good profit.

I definitely suggest "The Other". All my investments are in that category, nothing with a high market cap, nothing even over 50M. I've had x20 runs on some of these like Zero(ZER).

Both, I save Ethereum as a long term,
and for medium or short term I follow ICO.

Crypto investments are always risky. Invest on top coins and holding for a long term is the best one in terms of risk. It will give comparatively low gain than low market cap new coins or ICOs. But still it give you huge gain than any other investment (Not crypto). There are thousands of new coins and ICOs. No one can say exactly what will happen to them in future. We only can guess, but it has a huge risk. If we are able to analyse it correctly, then huge profit can be made.  You can put 75% for btc , eth and other top coins and others for new coins.

I believe that it is better to use both options in order to reduce risks and make a profit. Divide the entire deposit into 2 parts, for example 70% and 30% .70% is the top 100 coins for a long time, which are stable and reliable. They can not bring profit x20, but they are reliable and still will make a profit. And the remaining 30% in ISO and more risky coins. So you reduce the risks and earn good money.

The top coins are better to invest in because they have less risk of it being a scam. Freshly built coins can vanish within the week.

You are making a legit point here. I am was wondering around that question recently, but I decided that I would stick to the well-known coins, because of one major reason: scams.

You should master the risk and the safe one, if an altcoin is low in market cap but on your assumption after doing analysis then why should not give a try but not put your big amount. Go for both. Invest in the top coins and then have such investment for long term profit goals. The top coins are already there at the top. The implication is that it is definitely harder for them to acquire a double or triple growth. That would really take some time. Top 100 Coins have a much lower risk as they are established already, but they also offer lower returns than a new coin that is successful.
New coins of course have a much higher risk of failing.

I would personally invest in a lot of different new coins (after reviewing their concept), knowing many will fail but the few who succeed make enough profit to compensate for those who fail... and you spread your risk over more products that way. Even top 100 coins can get in trouble if a better version of the coins use case emerges or the industry is changed.

Agree with that, and also considering of their price most probably it is expensive than of those coins that are in low market volume. With that scheme, their is no chance to buy in bulk and its gaining profit are small.
Do investors never look into low volume coins but for me, I'll value those coins cause there is a big chances that it will boom and earned more.

Actually the good for investing here are btc,bnb,eth,ltc and lun for me because they already have value with good developer and they run already by many years so i choose them in many coins here but i also invest in strat,aion and gas in binance even they only run a few months or a year only and because also they have already high value in market.

It's true that the top 100 coins are more stable, but most of it won't be moving as fast as the lower market cap altcoin. As for me I'll probably invest 30% of my investment funds to one or two of the top 100 coins, and the rest 60% to coins with lower marketcap. There are lots of hidden GEMS or I'd say "sleeping giant" altcoins in those lower marketcap which can rise anytime unpredictably.

I mix it up. I have investments in the top 10 for long time and then I like to invest in low cap promising projects like deep onion, oyster and a few others.

i beleive that top coins is for whales because you can't make x10 or more in them, try to find some undervalued coins/tokens with low market cap or simply invest in new promising ICOs.

The Top 100 cryptos are the ones with the affiliation of "steady coins" because their value will always raise no matter what in the long term. The others, I think you refer ICO coins and stuff. These are much more "research coins" I would say. Just do your own diligence and these can make a great profit.

Investing in top coins on the market is a nice choice for long term investment. Much better if you can do both but in my case I chose Bitcoin for long term plus ethereum tokens. I like to have a diversified portfolio and I think both options are good. Much better if you invest in new coin so the market cap of that coin is still low or still developing, that is really good chance to start accumulate and you can hold that for long term. There are many coins now that is quality project and still undervalued.

At current time of uncertainty, it would be wise to make a balance portfolio between those two. We don't know if we are able to sustain the rise of unlimited amount of cryptos and we also don't know if current top coins still have places to expand.

Either of these two types of digital currencies can give you profit if its market price will rise. But for me, i will go for a potential low coins so it will give me x10 or x20 profit when it rise high. I have received coins form ICO value at 0.01$ and gives me big profit when it reaches 0.30$.

Choice is yours whether you want to invest in top coins or the others. It's better to analyze first which one will give you more returns and then invest accordingly. That is a very good idea.

There are a lot of them and they are all from altcoin. This is due to the fact that bitcoin is declining, and altcoin is rapidly growing and processing. You look how much they say around.

It's risky to invest in the low market cap coins. But, Still more profitable many times. Risk means profit   :) I used to allocate some funds for crypto every month. Among the that funds only from 10% to 30% funds I invest in the low cap coins including the new ICOs also and reaming 70% to 90% funds in the ETH, BTC or Ripple. After that I just look for the my 70% to 90% portfolio and try to recover my capital and rest funds in the risk for enjoying more profit   ;D

I buy both. The top 10 (Ethereum and NEO) is more for investment stability just for me. Participation in ICO and buying new coins is done in the hope of greater profits. However, be very careful with new coins.

Both are good investments but i prefer much more to those coins who are at the top of the cryptocurrency chart. It's simply because i find them more established and much stabilized than other crypto coin in the market. Look man, it really isn't that complicated if you think about it. Deciding on which is a better choice is so damn easy. All you have to do is to look at your current stage honestly; you can start by asking a question on how knowledgeable are you as of now in terms of knowing things about cryptos? About how they move etc., you can also consider how much spare money you have that you are comfortable on investing? Pretty new to all this but I like to look for coins with low market cap and low total supply. I have a vested interest in privacy coins like Deep Onion, leviar coin and Nav coin. I feel coins with a reasonably low market cap have more room to multiply in value overshorter time than say some of the more well known coins that already have huge market cap but low value due to there huge total supply also...like billions of coins x low value = big marketcap. So the potential for big returns like 5x or 10x is either not going to happen or is going to take a very very long time. But everyday is a school day so I will find out one way or another over time.

I always do my best in researching non-famous coins, so-called dark horses...profits are way higher there...

Both are good, but trading is a faster means of getting qui k returns. I find that I can engage in trading and then buy and hold some coins when I've made enough gains. Much depends on your plans anyway. But either way, don't invest more than you can afford to lose.

For me investing in a coin don't depend wheter it is a top coin or not. The best way to invest is to better know the project that you'll be investing to. There are a lot of coins with a good project and so very promising to be successful in the near future.

Investing in top coins are really good because you you know you can get more profit through it, beside when the coin is poppular or its demand is continuously rising its possible to increase also its value. While investing in other coin that unknown, is not appropriate because there's possibility you can get profit but mostly you cannot get anything, so i think its better to invest to known than unknown coin.
