Mining bitcoin? I think you are several years late for this. Bitcoin mining with CPUs and GPUs is long dead, now it is mined using specialized (and expensive) hardware (ASICs). It requires large investments and cheap electricity. As written above. Bitcoin mining via ASIC device. But you can mining other coins and then exchange them for BTC.

All that you need is a specific cpu that you will use only for this, but be aware that you have to calculate all the costs and mine currencies that are profitables for your cpu and hashrate

first learn and then start making questions in the forum based on what you have learned
there's a lot of people that can help you here but you have to be prepared in the bases os mining ;)

many of us just start with cpu/gpu mining alt coins and transfer that to bitcoin as it can be done on our gaming computers when we aren't using them

You need specific hardware for Bitcoin. No GPU will be able to net you profit. Use a Bitcoin mining profitability calculator like this:

to find out whether it's viable at all.

Take note that the mining hardware required for Bitcoin is highly specialized, and if you fail, you probably won't be able to use it for anything else, so you'll be forced to sell it at a loss. Make sure you do a lot of research first.

There is some new CPU's and GPU's that can mine cryptocurrencies with efficiency but you must need a lot of them. So I can conclude that GPU and CPU mining is STILL not recommended as it eats a lot of power that's why ASICs are built for purposefully for mining as have they said from the above. And all I can say is: "Mining is a high risk and high reward option".

You need to invest in a mining rig (computer machine with several graphic cards).
Graphic cards are expensive nowadays and if you can find a good deal then you have a chance to start with a lower investment.
Check ether calculator and based on your electricy expenses you can calculate expenses and potential profit.

Mining on your own is not profitable anymore, there are too much big players, you can't have their big scale conditions.

I would say only for professionals now. Big investments, big risk.
You can mine altcoins with graphic cards, its more for amateurs.

It was a very long time bitcoin with conventional video cards is not profitable to mine. It is more profitable to mine alternative coins.
