Wow, haven't used it yet, but it looks slick.

First thought, 49% chance at 200% is probably better psychologically, and more appropriate since the name is Double Trouble.

Also, it says the min is .01, what will I get back if I win .0198?

The site looks great!

Suggestion: accept payments with 0 confirmations immediately, but then delay paying any winnings until you get 1 confirmation (or more for large payments). This is a better experience.

Good advice. This is what bitcoin darts does.

Thanks. I'll have a look into that. 49% chance at 200% sounds better but think 50% chance at 198% is a better deal. You are right about the name. Better is to have the 200% payout but then I'll have to change the affiliate program too so it will pay only in case of a loss. (the 1%)

The bet for 0.01 is an exception. It pays 200% already. I did this because 198% of 0.01 is 0.01 (rounded down to penny because I can not create bitcoin out of thin air) and it looked so sad.  :'(

There is an affiliate program too: just play once at http://doubletrouble.bitcoinbet.com and visit the partner page for your personalized  link.

I didn't mean to suggest a change in equity, I just did sloppy math. I guess it would be 49.5% to keep it the same.

You should allow people to deposit and have a balance (by IP address) so the gratification of winning is instant.

Some people like to bet smaller amounts more (illogical I know).

Site is very cool :)

I think people may start speculating about are you really giving 50% chance, so perhaps you could provide some sort of a proof of that on the website (like do the randomizing before someone puts some bitcoins on - just like Bitcoin darts?).

Not that I doubt your honesty, I doubled four times in a row. :D But I am sure some people will start complaining about it.

Ha, validation would be nice. I won my first and not since. Martingale fail, at least I chickened out pretty early. ;D

Very cool, I like the affiliate program.  Should grow quickly with people sharing their affiliate link on social media.

Nicely done.

...although I think most people that played a couple of times will realize that the odds really are 1:1 and game is fair.

As I said, you don't have to convince ME. :)

PS. Could you please respond to my PM. Thanks.

OK, this seems nice and polished. But i have one, very important question:
Where do you get your random number / random number seeds ?

When it comes to computers, all "random" numbers are really only pseudo-random. And proper randomness factor / entropy is everything when it comes to online casinos.
Just look what one of the companies did to get REAL random numbers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7n8LNxGbZbs

Perhaps you should consider getting real random seeds from somewhere. Otherwise i don't think the game will be really fair.

----
BTW, do you know that there are specialized companies whose only occupation is generating random numbers and selling them ?

Probiwon takes a bigger cut, but at least you get near instant gratification.

I just looked up the exact random number generating bit is pulled from:

https://www.random.org/integers/?num=1&min=1&max=100&col=1&base=10&format=plain&rnd=new

Hope this answers your question.  ???

Of course. If it wouldn't, i would say something.

confirming for over an hour fffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

We've noticed the bitcoin network was really slow in confirming transactions yesterday.

It might be handy to add a 0.01 bitcoin transaction fee if you're playing for over say 50 btc / bet. Most transactions in the bitcoin system that have 0.01 cent fee added fly through and generally make it into the next block. If you do not specify a transaction fee, bitcoin transfers take between 1 min to well up over an hour as we've noticed yesterday.  :(

Yes, I have noticed that too. I played a lot yesterday on probiwon and it took a LONG time for the transactions to become confirmed.

What are the betting limits?
Any bet from 0.01 is accepted.

I don't understand how you can run this without having a maximum bet size.

Let's say there are 6 million BTC in circulation, I own 5 million of them and decide to throw them all into Double Trouble... You can't pay me 10 million BTC if I win.

Crazy example I know, but you still should set a maximum.

e.g. If I bet 10,000 and win, can you afford to pay me the 20,000?

You might read this http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3862.msg54956
If it's really working the way some one there described it might, you simply won't win with such big bets.

Hey MoneyTree,

I love Double Trouble and have been playing it quite a bit but the site seems to sometimes be plagued with FastCGI errors. It's usually not a problem until you run into an issue like I just had where I tried to play my 5 BTC, and the page gave a "FastCGI Error". I refreshed the page, hoping that would fix the problem, and after a minute of loading it said "One Pay Per Play Please!!" So I'm a little concerned as to whether the bet actually got played or whether it ended up in nothing-land considering the page could have error'd before it got to the actual playing part.

Thanks,
lulzplzkthx

I tried to test this with a 0.05 BTC bet.

The third "auto refresh" froze the site.

I have no idea if I won or not.... awesome.  :-\

Just did it a second time with 0.1, and it froze at the same time.

What's going on here?

P.S. Both of these use a 0.01 trans. fee.
