Title: Beware of Scammers Copying Kambria Project
Post by: txtan on February 05, 2018, 06:02:14 AM
Hi everyone, I am the co-founder of the Kambria project (https://kambria.io (https://kambria.io)).

Today, some of our community members informed us there is a scam Kambria website being launched at (fake-> https://kambria.network). They are advertising fake ICO dates and registering kambria.* domains under our CEO's personal information.

I want to bring this to attention so nobody will get scam by them. They have a fake telegram channel and also a fake posting on this site. fake ->
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2861118.0 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2861118.0). We at Kambria have not released any ICO information and dates. Please do not send them any money.

Our original facebook and twitter channels are https://www.facebook.com/KambriaNetwork/ (https://www.facebook.com/KambriaNetwork/) and https://twitter.com/KambriaNetwork. If you visit the scammer's facebook and twitter you can see all their posts are made from January 30th onwards.

The founders of Kambria are also founders of the robotic startup Ohmnilabs, Inc (https://ohmnilabs.com (https://ohmnilabs.com)). To prove our authenticity we are putting this scam warning on Ohmnilab's facebook page as well. It can be found here https://www.facebook.com/ohmnilabs/ (https://www.facebook.com/ohmnilabs/). You can see they duplicated some Ohmnilabs posts to the fake Kambria facebook page as well.

We will be using all resources to uncover and go after these scammers. I repeat please do not send them any money, we do not have ICO information released.

Update 8/2/2018:
The scam website is back! They most likely moved to another hosting provider because they still own the kambria.network name. We found they are taking money at this wallet address 0x4917ec2727871ce7fda7d6e4904201382c63ae2f. Please do not send any ETH to 0x4917ec2727871ce7fda7d6e4904201382c63ae2f. We are working to get their domain name revoked.

Update 6/2/2018:
The scammer's website and Twitter accounts have been taken down since last night. No more activities on Facebook or Telegram channels. Thanks to the Kambria and Crypto community, we have also uncovered good leads to exposing the identity of these scammers. We will be working with law enforcement and our legal team to get to the bottom of this; make the scammers pay and return any money they took. Anyone who believes they have been scammed, filled out their "KYC google form" or have been communicating with a "kambrianetwork at gmail.com" email address, please contact us.

Update 5/2/2018:
The original scam post (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2861118.0 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2861118.0)) has been taken down either by the site admin (yay!) or closed themselves. We got contacted by CoinTraffic.io this morning saying they tried to buy ads on their network but was stopped by their scam detection system. We have also reported the scammers to their domain and hosting provider, Namecheap and TeraSwitch respectively. Let's hope they get shut down in the next day or so.

The scammers are currently soliciting for private sale. All those contributions will be gone. Please help spread the word. None of these people are from our team.
