Title: UpBit Review - is upbit.com scam cryptocurrency?
Post by: vintamodern444 on February 05, 2018, 01:55:20 PM

Until now, Upbit has not caught up with any scams and has never had a hacker attack. Because Upbit is part of Kakao Corp, one of the companies that is considered as the internet giant in Korea, the security of user accounts and the system is very good. :)

What do you mean is upbit.com a scam cryptocurrency? Upbit isn't a cryptocurrency, it's an exchange.

But yea, as you said UpBit is sort of backed by great companies, so I would call it a "legit" exchange. Though I'm not really sure as I haven't personally used it.

upbit.com is a Korean exchange site, I have known about upbit.com but have not made a transaction there. I am also learning more about this trading floor because there are many coin listed and traded very well on upbit. I still have not received any information about the upbit being scam so I am verifying this issue.

I have not used it personally but based on the reviews that I read online, it seems to be a legit exchange.

Im American and have some coins that have to be transferred from bittrex to it because they no longer support it.  I dont want to download a beancash wallet because it takes a long time.

Is it easy for american to use upbit?  But whole site is korean?

They do have the "upbit global" which uses english as it's language, it's basically for ppl outside South Korea but the problem is, the USA is one of the unsupported countries and you won't be able to trade unless you undergo verification. or are you perhaps not staying in USA rn?

Unsupported Countries
In compliance with International Regulatory standards, there are a number of countries
whose residents are prohibited from registering with Upbit Singapore Pte. Ltd.
-snip-
In addition to the above listings, Upbit Singapore Pte. Ltd. is unable to provide any services to residing customers from the United States of America (USA). This is due to the complexity of the country’s regulatory environment.

I've looked up the coin and it's also listed in yobit and cryptopia. I can't vouch for them but if you have no choice I guess it's YOLO route 🤣 tho I think you should be fine if it isn't a large amount of $$$ ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
