You can use your cpu and maybe your graphics card (im not sure if it supports open cl or cuda) but forget about it. You will have a much higher higher electricity rate then profit from bitcoinmining. But be careful if you want to use your graphics card cause I've got a friend that burned the card out and now need to replace it......

However, I found that what the folks on here are saying is right, there was no profit to be made that way. The difficulty was much too high. I would run and run and was maybe generating a bitmil per week or something like that. It was a good learning experience, though. I'd recommend it if you like to compile and install code from sources.
