To become a Jr. Member you need to have at least 30 activity (not posts but activity) and then you need merits to update your profile to the further statuses. Take your time to read the forums guides on how this works.  :)

To increase your status in this forum you have to activly participate in activities at least one good post for the day. Also if you want to know your status there is  status option in the above task bar. So you can check your status. Good luck.

Just help out people and you will surely be rewarded.
Status changes automatically once you have 30 activity points, no one puts it.

If I post 3 posts per day do i get  Jr. member status sooner?

You just need to be more frequent, then it would be all right. Keep posting and write meaningful and useful replies. Then you will find yourself not a newbie anymore. All the best

Read topics that are mentioned in the 2nd message and then perform simple calculations. Spoiler: no, you don't.

You can only get 14 activity in 14 days. On day 15 you can get another 14 acitivty. On day 29 another 14 and so on.

Hi, I am also a proud newbie and to be honest I don't care much about updating my status to learn and help others to learn from me. Being a full member or a brand new does not matter here too much for me, because without that I can access the posts and information here.  :)

Well, I'd be glad to receive some merits, but I don't give much damn about it, and I would suggest you doing the same if you are here to learn and help others do that. Otherwise, just don't stress yourself too much and relax about it. It will happen if you wish it too much  ;)

You just need to achieve the necessary qualifications of ranking up from your previous rank.

So now you are a newbie, just like me, so we have to achieve 30 posts/activities to move up to junior member.

how does a post differ from activity?

I just started with bitcointalk suggested my colleague about this forum long back to learn more about cryptocurrency.
I gone through all rules to remain best for this forum without breaking the rules
I am newbie so in order get Junior member we need to get atleast 30 Activities i think its quite possible in 1 month with daily one constructive post.

Please don't post in your local language on the English boards. It is likely to cause you to be ignored by members who have sMerit to give away,and if you are ignored, it will restrict you ability to earn Merit.

It is also unwise to capitalise your post. It makes it much harder to speed read, and it will probably mean your post will be skipped over - again, no possibility of merit awards if this happens.

For us newbies, the next rank will be junior member but not member right away. Just post with a good content of reply and have a patience to wait until you got a higher rank.

Patience is the key. Post regularly, keep the post on topic and relevant and you will rank up in no time :)

If you left 1 message in 24 hours, you get 1 active. If you leave 2 or more messages in 24 hours, then you will still get 1 activation. Activites displays how many days you were active in the forum, the number of messages left on it is not affected.

you have to be bit more patience regarding this. all you have to do is keep actively participating in this forum.

I think it's not a person who put your status or rank, my guess is it's the system, it computed and calculated the time when you log in an out, it does the counting on how many post you made and place the information on your profile based on your settings, same with a forum I know.

Spend most of your time thru reading.
Reading is your key to your many questions.
You must do READING, by that you will explore your mind through out the bitcoin org.
You will know all the restricstions.
Because NEWBIE has a lot of RESTRICTIONS.

Somehow  became jr member in 3 weeks with 35 posts. A friend of mine has account for more than a month with +150 posts and stillis a newbie. How can this be?

Same here newbie. In our case now is hard to rank up to member without 10 merit. The requirements is different from the old terms and regulation. Member now is Activity 70, Merit 10, post is 70 above. Without merit the rank up is disable.

Write usefull posts and your activity will grow

i am also in the same problem i have 70 active post but still i am j.member i dont know to to get more merit .i cant send merit to the other friends because i have 0 merit

In short, you need to make a useful message (for example, good advice). And, if this message will be valuable for a high rang, he will give you merit.

You talk still not enough. Jr.member need to have at least 30 activity and beside, the necessary time to upgrade from Newbie to Jr.member is 5 weeks

You are a Jr. Member now. You probably need a hundred activity to become a Member. I guess you already know that you can't become Member from Newbie. There is another step which is called Jr. Member. And congratulations on becoming a Jr. Member. All the best.

In short, you need to earn Activity points to upgrade your membership level. And to earn Activity points, you need to post on the site on regular bases (minimum 14 posts per 2 weeks will increase your activity by 14 points).

For now, you have had 42 activities, that means you will need 16 more activities and 10 merits in order to rank up to Member rank. Before the launch of merit system, Bitcointalk users only need activities to rank up. After that point, need both merit scores and activities to rank up after Junior Member rank.

right now it is little difficult for us to get member rank but I think this is rule good for this forum and all of us. just be patient and put your best think.

Who will give the merit? is it system automated?

To get you the next status on the forum (Member), you need to earn an activity to 60. Your activity consists of the number of your messages and the number of days since your registration on the forum. Do a minimum of one message a day and you will after a while receive a higher rank.

Go through the profile tab on the main page. Then there is tab as summary.  Click on that you can have all the details about your account.

Your nearest rank is Jr. Member and you have to complete 30 activities to go to that rank. For other ranks you have to gain merits.

You need 30 activity points to become Jr.Member.
You ACN attain max of 14 activity points in 2 weeks. So it take about a month to become a Jr.Member. after that you can participate in various ICO's. My advise, don't focus on levelling up, just help out people and see your level getting increased quickly. You also get merit points which help you in leveling up at later stages. Help is the key.

Its automatic,  every 2 weeks we are recieving 14 activity.  You need 60 activity to become a member rank and with the new rules,  you need 60 activity and 10 merits in order to rank up

these things are part of the forum software.

To be a junior member, you will need to post a compulsory 30ti. Your posts are advisable but you are a junior member. You have to gain a lot of expertise. You are promoted based on your skills

If you want to achieve rank jr member your activity must be at least 30. Every 2 weeks once your activity will increase 14 with the condition you have to post 14 posts for 2 weeks.

Merit is given based on quality content posted, helping others in the community, you should find out more about bitcointalk forums, crypto and help others.

You need to get 10 merits and enough 60 activities (not post), the activity is calculated over time and the merit is the point accumulated when you post useful posts or help others.

but i should say new update on this forum if you want gain member on higher rank you should  have a few meirt

The only way to rank up is to complete the activity that requires you to be a member and an enogh merit.
To gain merit you have to make a good quality, creative and helpful posts.

what is important is not to be new, but to bring more important. more effort and merit to collect. our job is hard.

To rise your rank from newbie to member is not that easy you have to write important quality post and try in helping others.then others will merit you which  in time you can get to the rank of a member.

You should make atleast 30 activity to promote your membership into jr member. Always remember that the maximum post that you should make is only 1 post per day because too much can lead you to being banned.

I have a question please. My friend is interested in joining here. However, when he made an account, it requires payment and he said he was auto banned even though it's his first time here. He tried to make new accounts to try and get in here but unfortunately, all the other accounts got auto-banned as well. Can you please help us?

Member level required 60+ activities and 10 merits. I saw you already have 100+ activities. Merit is key point get in rank increment. You have written good and the quality post gets merits from seniors. It is very hard to get merits but Merit system do a  better job to make this forum more use full.

I'm in a similar situation, one piece of advice I've gotten and seems to be repeated often is patience, and being active, and posting daily. I'm personally not to sure of the difference between activity and merit but basically if you do those three things you should be fine. Also make sure you're posting relevant things.
