I have 56 activity points and soon i will need 10 merit points to move to Member rank.
I participate in bounties and dont consider myself to be a spammer (and certainly not a scammer ;D)
I participate in translation bounties which of course take time to do properly but I cant really have any influence on whether people will give me merit points or not.

I really hate asking for this, but I think I'm one of those 'inbetweeners" that got hosed by the new merit system.  My activity broke over 480 in the last week or so... so I should have been upgraded to Hero.  When I checked to see why that didn't happen, I noticed the Merit link in my profile.  After reading a bit about, I understand why the merit system exists, but now I have to generate 250+ merit to get to Hero status.

I have checked your last 50-60 posts, maybe one or two have more than 20 characters. You are Hero member, but I know Jr.Member who's posting much more quality than you.
If you want to get merit, you have to be much more constructive, and your post it needs to improve further discussion although you may be wrong in your attitude. Someone will learn something from your mistakes.
Also, you have hard red trust and there is a long way to go before you going to be an important member of this community.

What do you mean? When people posting about specific coin, it means they have their own interest? Like some posts in my topic with some unknown coins? As for me, I do not have any specific interest in any specific coin.

That is just a correction. Anyway, I think he can see your trust rating without having to open your account, and I doubt anyone would waste their Merits on someone who has negative feedback as it has no point to even rank up if you are not trustworthy. You have the same value, which is "no value", if you either have a negative trust being a Legendary member, or having a neutral trust being a Brand new.

Well the main purpose of the Merit system is to post quality posts. That is why OP is sending his merits away to the people who are worthy of it. So tell me what is wrong with you understanding that he wants to know if you have ever learned here mostly in Bitcoin. All you do is do bounties, and you are telling him to review yours?  :-\

It's all in Portuguese because the focus is for beginners who usually see only this area, but it's very well written and detailed.

You are pointing the finger at me like I am a bad guy for participating in bouties in order to get crypto in return and you do the same thing. What is wrong with participating in bounties? you are helping to promote a company/service that you like and think might be profitable

I have opened this topic on Mimble Wimble, because that technology really caught my eye when I read about it some time ago and moreover it adds so much to bitcoin (it is not another clone or fork). But the topic didn't raise the community interest at that time, partly I am sure because it was immediately flooded with garbage posts and topics (there was no merit system at that time). I tried to revive it later, providing some more information, but no luck either (again, no merit system at that time)

I would be very glad if you could have a look and either merit one of my posts if you think it is worthy or maybe take part in the discussion.

Not really aiming for any merit but i love to chat with people who want to know more about alt coin.

As i am quite a safe cryptoer, i would like to balance my blockfolio as compares to my friends. They are very risky and they are earning way more faster than me. However, i started quite some time and i love the stability.

My positioning is 20% btc, 30% eth, 20% alt coin(beside eth) and 20% flipping (ico). Of course it is impossible to balance cause the flipping ico is adding more $$ to my blockfolio.

I do have a lot of topics that i can touch on and today i am going to focus on ico flipping.

Generally, ICO invest is very dangerous, it is because out of 100 over icos every month, only maybe 2-5 of them will give you profits. So it is about how you identify the good icos from the bad one, and the best out of the good one. Right now i will give a list of my ico investment and add some extremely brief comments as i go along.

Polymath 10eth, recently just out and sold for 16 eth.
It is so popular that the crowdsale is no longer needed. And if you whitelist, you can even get 250tokens which is about $250.

Selfkey 10 eth, received last month and sold for 30eth.
KYC ico has been doing very great recently. I was planning to get into Selfkey and Thekey but end up i was too lazy with the neo platform to invest in thekey. Should not be cause one can gain like a few thousand.

Gifto 8eth, sold for 24eth.
Gifto has been very popular in China. They even sold like 20mil in private sale. And they have good token metrics whereby private investors will have their tokens locked for months if they invest more than 100k. The team is very effective and they even have rounds of spin airdrop to keep the public interested. They also have very strong customer based so the tokens can be easily integrated to the system.

Appcoins (signature bouty for a month) and get 20eth.
Very similar to Gifto and yet nobody know about it. So each stake is quite big and so i chose that.

(ICO Failed) Olympus Labs, i heard they almost sold out in private sale so i put like 30eth. I am quite convince by their team as they also have came out events/activities to keep the people engaged. End up there is a lot of issues and luckily i sold off 23eth at cost price while my 7 eth worht of OL is dropping in values.

Spectre Ai
Almost ready platform and it is works on decentralise smart contract. The token holders also got dividends while the other token will have buyback with burning system so overall quite a good token structure. I am still holding spectre ai.


Upcoming ICO
Trakinvest
Get to know about it due to partnership of spectre ai and also friends discussion. Invested in it, tokens yet to be out but the marketing is very bad so the telegram membership count is very low to my standard. Bad investment at this point of time.

Policypal Network
Very confidence in this. Great cofounder, great receptive on the ground(almost everywhere full attendence), great advisors, great partnership, greater media coverage, telegram 13k explode to 23k members within 2 days because of telegram whitelist. I am very bullish on this.

Sentinel Chain
Equally as bullish on this as policypal network. Extremely great partnership (Maybank to Infocorp, Fenbushi, Vechain), without any marketing done they already have incredible supports from the crowd. You even need to do prove of support/love to get allocation.

Zombie(Or whatever name is it upcoming)
If anyone need to get into programming on eth, this is the place that provide you the best school of learning. Customer base is getting bigger as the days go.

At first it was really hard for me constructing good quality posts but as time goes by I was really putting an effort to every post I make. Since we are referring to Altcoin Section, i will talk about some of my altcoin collection.

One of my most favourite coin is Neo. They say Neo is a copycat of Eth. Neo used to be called the Antshare. It has smart contract and it can scale a lot better than Eth. Eth having a limit of 15tx/s, whereas Neo can handle up to 1000tx/s. What is the more awesome and which make a lot of people want to hold on to Neo is that it is giving away Gas whenever you are holding neo. You dont even need to do any staking and gas will automatically be generated even if you are offline. Neo has great ico under their platforms and some of these examples are red pulse, nex, thekey etc. And Neo had CoZ foundation supporting it, so there will be more dev team to build up the infrastructure of Neo. Do expect the ecosystem of neo to grow bigger.

My next favourite will be decentralise exchange tokens. I am still holding zrx and kyber. As we see more and more exchanges becoming more exclusive, listing on these exchanges can be insanely crazy. I love how dencentralise exchange will slowly replace these centralise exchanges so that users will not have the risk of being scam or exposed to centralised danger. On the hand, it will open up a fair playing grounds for all new incoming icos to get listed and traded easily.

Next will be dividend coin. It is not easy to find dividend coin now as they are easily being classified as security and hence not easy to get listed on exchanges. However, people always like dividend coin. Beside Neo, i used to hold Kucoins. However, i sold them a few weeks ago when the price shot up because i knew that the dividend percentage will drop eventually so it is not a long hold for me. I manage to make x14 from it. Even though i got quite a handful numbers of kucoins, i am still quite disappointed with the dividends. Coss is another one. I do have some but i am not sold as the platform is not that smooth and effective. And the development of the user base is not up to my standard. My latest addition which has payout is Spectre Ai. So far, it is not yet to be launched for the binary trading, they already able to give out dividends from other sources. For the long run, i am confident in Spectre.

Correct your spelling mistakes, use chrome and it should highlight them for you.
I gave merit for this.
Good post but try to go back and edit your post to be as readable as possible.  The more digestable and readable you make a post, the more people will bother to stop and read not just skim and possibly give you merit for a point well made.

Just space out the sentences a little bit, a problem with online is that even a normal set of sentences can turn into a wall of text that is unwelcoming in a whole thread.    Double space on a new sentence also, small things add up :)

This is advice I was given similarly when trying to pass my English writing coursework and so on, I have some teachers for relatives but normally English, comprehension etc is my worst subject so I have to be careful.   I'm happy to give merit for anyone who put a bit of effort into their post and also says some worth reading.
