I am new in mining field and need some experts help please.

I bought and trying to install 6 cards rig (1080 TI) .

I installed window 10 pro 64bit window after this connected my 6 cards all showed on the device manager fine.
Disconnected them all and after put 1 card installed the drivers and connected 2nd card it went to other device as Competible driver etc.. then i upgraded drivers and it worked fine.
Connected 3rd Card same error then after upgraded drivers on that one it came in display adapters section but with yellow error says
(this device cannot find enough resources that it can use (Code 12). if you need to use this device disable any other device.

I tried research for this error and tried modify key HackFlag with value 600 on Hex restarted pc nothing worked.
Also i connected HDMI LCD Cable in one of those graphic card not in motherboard is that ok ?

Please guys i can even pay if some one can help me to resolve this issue.

1709 Windows Version?

Installing latest Windows-Updates and disabling the Audio Controller of the cards fixed that error for me.

I've been having tons of weird issues and difficulties trying to mine on Windows. I can mine Eth fine, but even there, I tried to add a 4th card and have been having issue after issue with it. And almost every other coin I've tried to mine has been a total headache.

Are there any downsides to using Linux vs. windows?

I have some experience with Linux, but I'm not great at it. How difficult is getting mining going for someone familiar with Linux, but just not nearly as fluent as with Windows?

What type of Linux would you recommend?

There are multiple OS options out there that are linux based. My personal favorite for nvidia devices is called PiMP (Portable Instant Mining Platform). With the name alone you know its going to be good. In my experiencing of managing thousands of GPU rigs this is the most flexible and most useful mining software I have found.

Interesting. I'm using AMD at the moment, but it looks like it works for them too. Good to know. Thanks!
