market is so random these days that it may as well go up that high in a week, LOL.
but i wouldn't count on it yet though. this current drop doesn't seem to be over yet. the whales have just started fattening their pockets and everyone else is joining them just now. so the "feast" can go on a little longer.

What makes you think we've hit the bottom? Things could always get worse, and that's a very real possibility in this market. I do hope the low prices spark traders into action by buying again, but that seems unlikely given the fact that they didn't when Bitcoin seemed to have bottomed down at the $8k level. I hope the newbies are ready to brave the bear market.

There could still be a bottom to the recent trends, with China banning exchanges, what about the mining farms, are these next? If you are buying it is great, if your portfolio is down hugely, not so great...

I will not enter this bear market.  Only if the price drops to 2k will I buy bitcoin again.

You're not providing any insights or TA as to why you think it touched bottom, you're just assuming it did because of the recent bounce, am I correct? same goes for you're 'prediction' about 11k-13k.
The only positive thing I've seen over the last 12h is that volume has been relatively high, other than that, I'm remaining cautious as to what could happen next, and I think it is too early to start predicting what the price is going to be next month, especially during such downtrend.

Well, the overall market cap has been hovering around 300 billion for over 12 hours, so that's a good sign that the fast hard correction is over and a more stable period has started. Hopefully trend will reverse after this stable period.  IF it hovers around 300 billion for next 24 hours, then I think we have arrived at bottom for sure.  There is good support here.

Its not bottom yet as the market has NOT stabilized. To assume so is to pretend that you know it all and take a wrong move. The best thing to do is to wait until the market 'heals' and then you can take a dive.

I won't be buying until I see a few legs up. Better safe than sorry :)

Man there are many wrong things in your post.

1. You said we touch the bottom: No one knows that for sure, we can make an educated  guess with T.A,according to my analysis we will hit 4900, but again that is something nobody can just assure.

2. $11000-$13000 the next month: Its basically the same, where in the world you got this number from?, if thats from T.A you shouldn't assume that a fact. next month it can be 50k it can be 2k.

3. now the trading advice, IF next month Bitcoin is in a bull market between 11k and 13k, why would you sell?

Hopefully, this will be the bottom of the deep, and from now on I was hoping for bitcoin to pump once again, Let us check what will happen in the other days if bitcoin will really pump up.

We can only give suggestions and decisions remain in the investors. Every investor has his own calculations when to buy and sell bitcoin.

I don’t think so. Still on wait-and-see mode. Got lucky when I unloaded before the fall. Not gonna push my luck this time. The profit may not be as huge when you buy when all indicators says so. But a profit is a profit, no matter how small. Too risky this month.

Bought BTC when it was at around 5kUSD (and diversified into selected promising alt coins).. not gonna sell it even if it falls below this. I am not aiming to make quick profits in weeks or mths. I'm here for the super-long as I see real potential in the technology -- be it as a currency, store-of-value, foreign exchange, decentralized coin-exchange, and whatnot; and believe that it may one day revolutionise the world if given enough time, likely a couple of years.

Crypto atm is still at its infancy, and the tech is very much still in its early beta stage practically; and only around one 1% (or less than?) of people in the world have a feet in cryptocurrencies in one way or another... so lossa room to grow. At least that is what I believe and betting with the portion of my savings that I can afford to lose.

The fact that today is the best price for shopping I think every day, on the principle of the week, but the market surprises each time and prices fall even lower :) By this, I no longer want to predict and guess when the best price.

Think in the long-term; what do you think the prices of BTC and selected alt-cryptos will be 1 year or more down the line, etc.
I bought in even more at 6.1kUSD earlier, because I believe this is below the eventual price realization of the selected cryptos that I have a position in.

I'm not here to day-trade or speculate on the volatility; but investing on the future of the coins.
Will be injecting more if it drops further; spreading out my fund-injection to average out. ;)

Yess I really love when market makes stupid mistakes im always able to save enough funds over the months so that whenever a fall occurs im always have a choice to make a purchase no matter what I wish I could buy 1 bitcoin but 0.5 bitcoin is also pretty good at this price

Calling it a bearish market currently is just fine but expecting it to go as low as 2k would be an overstatement. Rather than buying in when it seems to be stabilizing near the 6k mark, if you still proceed to wait for another free fall, the market would've already begun gaining with the eventual process of resurrection not far from finishing, pushing prices over the five figure mark. Either ways, good luck refreshing websites until it you see it go below 2k as its ain't happening in my eyes.

Same to you ;) .This was bound to happen and still we don't know that this is the actual low or it might further go down.According to all the experts and influential people there may be a start of the growth once the bitcoin touches 5000$ mark and this limit will be reached by bitcoin in some hours so you can expect some stable growth in the prices after few days.Hope this will be true and no further damage happens.

You are right that bitcoin may not have hit the lowest ebb but about price getting worse is what I don't think will happen. It can't get worse than it is already with price having crashed from $19,000+ to $6000 in less than two months is a real nightmare.

However, I do know that now isn't a bad time to buy in for anyone who wants maximum profit.

I think it is a pretty good idea, but who knows if Bitcoin will continue pump, I found it easy to say on your part, and no harm with self speculation at all, but we must sure at least that this recent price reversal has a backbone, in actuality there is no enough good news except the recent meeting between US senators and officials from US exchange commission.

I am going to buy some and lock it away will check it in about 5 years.  Also doing same with LTC and ethereum.   Bitcoin is still the future

Look at the current rsi, its running at about 30 but there is no significant upward pressure. The bears are still around.

Well of course, bitcoin was bound to sooner or later, it is just a matter of time and how paitient you are and how many hits you can take before sell, the recent drop was probably the best oppurtunity for new comers to invest thier money into bitcoin, now it is just a matter of accumulating profit, as the news about the cryptocurrency market slowly recovering is affecting investments so we will soon see the bitcoin rise again.

If you're a Day Trader it is now a good position to sell and get profit. But if you're looking this for a long term investment, I wouldn't be much confident of this rise.

Yesterday's price was the lowest price in last few days, today the price got increased but then also its not that up so yes its the good to invest in it.

This is the perfect time to buy for investors. If you bought at 8000 USD, you can sell it in the next months by 15000 USD and you will gain a tremendous amount of profit. Correct me if I am wrong but this is the way I see it.

You are amazing here to say that this is best time for buyers to invest in bitcoins. From last one year I am sure you never had seen bitcoins at such low price. After the Christmas bitcoins were touching the sky and was ranging in $19k-20k and then a downfall came that covers bitcoins. Now they are somehow suffering but the most important fact is they are giving chances to people to buy them.

It’s not actually the bottom but your strategy is good for who bought bitcoin at the price of 20000$ more or less . Now they can buy to reduce average buying. But what about who invested all their money at 19500 they really had to wait years to get their returns.

I bought at $1100 in February 2017 and other people were hesitant to buy, then the price increased to $11k and I thought it would not go any further, so I sold those coins. <My profit on those coins = $9800 per coin>

According to my readings on charts and datas the recovery of bitcoin is starting and stopped to drop since last day. I think investors already grab the opportunity to invest since the price dropped and fell into a $6000, if i would only have enough money to invest i will invest. I guess the fully recovery of bitcoin will happen on march or on the second quater of the year.

Agreed,  TA has it in a 5th wave with a retracement off the 9000 mark, from there we will possibly retest 6000 and could fall to just below 5000. Personally l think we would need some sort of consolidation period before we start testing 11K and above numbers.

This is not yet the bottom. This is just the mid of its price which is the same back in the third quarter of the year 2017. And yes, this might be the bottom for this year because we all do trust that the Bitcoin price will kick the market again maybe in mid of this year or in the start of peak season which is in 4th quarter. i agree that this is not yet the bottom for bitcoin because the price is still kinda bit high rather we can only say that bitcoin is in its bottom if it touches until 2k to 3k dollars. however i believe bitcoin can still go down because valentines day is comming and as we all know people will always have a reason to cash out if theres a holiday or special event. That is why i suggest wait a little more because the prices would still expected to drop during this event.

The bottom was 6k$ and that moment was perfect to buy. I hope all those people who bought bitcoin at recent maximum didn't sell it "to have at least something". The price is promising to  come back on previous highs in sooner time.

we see in the next few days may be MA20. if bicoin price is not back weakened maybe yesterday is the bottom line for bitcoin prices. and it does not matter to buy some bitcoin just in case if in the near future bitcoin price can pump. because it might just happen right ? let alone the price is still stable around $8k. and you see marketcap getting bigger gradually, 'I think very likely the price will return to $10k or even more

But I would rather hold my bitcoin for long term, let's say around 2-4 years instead of withdrawing them in the next few months and most especially if you bought bitcoin when it was on its peak price. Since it had try to increase back its price, I hope it won't drop its price back again. We surely don't know what will happen so maybe holding would be the best thing to do.

How do you know the price has hit the bottom? I guess no one knows for sure and that is the beauty of crypto or even the stock market. It goes up and down and goes up and down year after year, year after year. Internalize that and you will do well in any market.

I don't think that we already touch the bottom because we can still expect some deeper deeps in the market of bitcoin and that is why we should not put all of our money into cryptocurrencies because they are so risky and in any time we can either loss a lot or gain a lot which seems not a stable investment, so just put the amount that you can think that you already lose it.

What is your proof that we have touched the bottom already? Did you show some proofs or did you just speculated too just like all of us are doing? Nobody knows what can happen in the market because everything is pure speculation. Its too early to say that the current price of bitcoin is just the bottom of it. It can go lower than we expected anytime. Lets just be ready.

If this is true, we should focus now on investing and holding as it will go along with the increase and profit will be to its knvestors and users. This is absolutely great to hear after weeks of continuous declines on its market price. Hopefully its market value will increase continuously and its market price will be able to fully recover from the dump lately. It is the time now to buy some bitcoin for long term purposes and since it is already low, the price drop should never be a problem anymore yet expect a great bounce back in bitcoins price. We can never know where is the bottom and where is the top. Bitcoin is still vulnerable to manipulations and who can tell that this drop is manipulated by some whales or not? It will bounce back of course, its what we belive in and for what we hope for, cause every January is the same, price drop for more then 50%, so this January drop isn't anything new. Price already started to go up, and maybe its over with drops, now we will have straight way up. New investors should know that bitcoin will rise in price over the time, but nobody can tell how much time. "It can't get worse" is a sentence that should never be used in cryptos, especially as Bitcoin itself has already manage in a few cases during its life to lose almost 90% of its price - of course just temporarily. Just as there are tons people who are rushing to buy at ATH, there tons of people (sometimes the same tons of the same people) who are rushing to sell at the bottom.
