yes but as long as those people are honest and willing to help you learn more about cryptocurrencies,... not just hype you up to buy some shitcoin that they are bag-holding. an i am afraid that the later is more true when it comes to a newbie asking for help around these parts!

additionally you should never forget to use your own brain to analyze what everyone is telling you and try to learn not just follow others blindly.

Dear All,

My first recommendation will be observe the market. Do not directly jump into it.

While observing you may earn coins by joining Airdrops too. I highly recommend you to track airdrops & bountys.

I use https://t.me/airdropalertsforyou to track airdrops.

Good Luck  :)

Yes it is, but before you start with questions you should read pinned post in beginners and help section.
You will find most answers there and in the meantime you will learn whatever hasn't been posted there.
If you in any case don't understand something after you read all posts then ask questions.

Us? So you are part of a group or you are doing it with friends/family?
It can change things when compared to just doing it yourself.

Are you brand new? As in the last couple weeks?
If so, then congratulations! If you had got in just one month ago you would have been paying high prices.
Now, everything is so ridiculously cheap, I actually envy you.

I won't reiterate what others have said, so let me offer you a new suggestion: put your money into a crypto hedge fund or Digital Asset Array (DAA).
A crypto hedge fund or DAA is a portfolio that is managed by someone or a company.  You can contribute to the fund and they will manage it for you, all you have to do is put in some money.  Basically, it is like owning a "share" in a company.  As the value of the portfolio goes up, so does your money.  There is usually a 1 to 5% fee and a small percentage fee to cash out.

here are the benefits:

-Crypto hedge funds and DAAs are nearly always successful, they are managed by professionals and have a large amount of capital.  Even with fees you will see profit.
-They take the guess work out investing for noobies.
-You are part of the portfolio, so you can watch what they invest in and what coins gain and what coins lose.  This can give you valuable insight into the market.

This might sound like I'm shilling or advertising, but my honest opinion is that Iconomi is the best place to find these kinds of funds.  Check it out!

Read as much as you can whenever you can.  Avoid reading the forums on coins you are looking at, read the whitepapers first and create you own opinions. This will help avoid some of the biases you may get when reading some of the shills or other pump news that is so prevalent in the crypto world.  Also, dont invest more than you can afford to lose. This will help you not make irrational decisions.

But he won't post here if there are people whom he/she trust in real life and will ask things about cryptocurrency so that's why he/she created this thread to gain some knowledge.
You can also acquire knowledge through your personal research in the internet.
That's what we call DYOR.
What I can advise to those newbies out there, this section(Beginners & Help (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=39.0) ) fits all of you.

The best practice to teach newbies in crypto is the importance of research and study. If you're to venture this complex world, better equip yourself with enough brains to understand how things work here. Without the right knowledge in crypto, you'll end up on a stalemate...

This forum is a good way to go especially popular discussion which might have alot of valuable insight other than just plain question. Technically the resources are kinda available and you also could study some popular whitepapers (the established and legit) one to see what are they trying to achieve using bitcoin, their usability are usually more advanced as well feasible than you could imagine.

Join on bounty programs will not take any project to all the sides. You should share more about them that is promotion should be works out everywhere. If you guys get the tokens and spam all post just for payment. All things will be fall down. That is how bounties travelling recent days.
I suggest project owners to use the signature campaign alone to promote their project. If they use the right manager like yahoo even they will get more investors on their token sale itself.

Ask is good but I think you already have the answer, the question is are you ready to face and accept the risk as part of crypto activity?. Before start most people will learn how to create money but ignore about the risk. When stable or dip market happen, specially on long time they get stress and make bad decision with their transactions. My advice is just like that, understand the risk, learn from experience and keep practice.

I'll give you few advices:
1. Don't trust anyone in crypto until you know that this person is really reliable. There're a lot of scams all around and it's really easy to be hooked by hackers.
2. Subscribe to the most popular crypto community social accounts (YouTube, twitter, telegram etc.) to get the latest information about crypto.
3. Always do your own investigation before investing in ICO or trading any coin.
4. Keep your assets safe. Use Metamask for all ETH operations. Never open any wallets though links in your mail or from google, only open from your bookmarks.
5. Don't invest more money than you can afford to loose.
6. And the main rule - always fix your profits.

First of all Well Come:As you are new in Crypto World,so its better to make a proper research about the Crypto, the charm in Crypto is very high but the risk is also very high.Study about different coins, see the project going behind those coins, examine the developer teams, analyze the market scope that particular product,Idea behind the coins whether its feasible or not, interest of the people about that project,Whether this project is short/Long term. After knowing about these things you will have a clear idea, but the game is not over, also study different exchanges, trading running there, analyze coin market cap.Do not get advise from any people, because many people may advise you to invest in some scrap coins, which do not have any market scope just to capture money. So be careful. When you are fully satisfied with your research then enter into Crypto World. These are my findings for you,it may vary from person to person experience.

in my opinion, the first step to be learned in the world of crypto is about blockchain technology or financial technology (fintech), as well as the process of implementing ICO. so from there can understand what is cryptocurrency. and to watch out for, do not decide to investments in large quantities before understanding about cryptocurrency. lately many are interested in cryptocurrency, but not understanding cryptocurrency, directly invest in large quantities, finally getting a loss, and blame cryptocurrency with a negative thing.

Buy bitcoin every month. Read everything you can on crypto, read this forum. Join twitter and search crypto to find people to follow. If you feel like you are grasping what's going on and want to get into altcoins, think again. If you've spent time and learned enough to start getting confident, begin with small money. Make lots of trades with tiny money. You can buy 5 or ten tokens or coins to learn. You are not trying to make money yet, just learning. Go slow. It takes lots of time and experience. Don't be in a hurry, there is lots of time and there are always more opportunities. We are in the beginning of a lifetime of opportunities in crypto, take the time to learn.

Welcome to the crypto world. When I first started on cryptocurrency I made a lot of mistakes. My major failures are viruses. I advice don't go clicking unsecured crypto sites and never download zip from mining sites. Secure your gadgets always and your accounts. Don't trust anyone, scammers are everywhere. Always do some research and bitcointalk is a good place to know potential ICOs. Ask advice and follow known crypto leaders if you have Facebook account. You can always get tips and important infos from them.

I will advise not to jump into investing first but to spend time learning and develop your knowledge on how bitcoin and others crypto market behavior and work before putting your hard earned money. You will make more money if you are ready to spend time in developing your account and join campaign here.

Dear All,

My first recommendation will be observe the market. Do not directly jump into it.

While observing you may earn coins by joining Airdrops too. I highly recommend you to track airdrops & bountys.

I use https://t.me/airdropalertsforyou to track airdrops.

Good Luck  :)
participating in any airdrop is not profitable but good also for beginners to gain small profits  ,but don't rely on it . 'cause there's some ways also to earn more profits here in crypto world which is bounties  .. While you are lack of knowledge about doing different manner in crypto join in any bounty to earn some token so that you can practice your trading skills using those token from bounties . And probably you can obtained more strategy on it about doing some technical analysis in the market .

Of course. You are a newbie, you may have lots of difficulties, I hope that you have enough patience and diligence to do a good plan in this digital market. I remember that the first time I’ve taken part in this field, I have many trouble to solve, and I think that I can’t continue this job but I passed through difficulties and then I’m become more interested in this market. You will spend much time for this first time, especially spending your time doing research, reading and learning a lot  to build experience as same as skill. I advise you to be more careful, particularly you’d better keep your head if you get failure because this market requires lots of risks.

Also, learn to have patience in this industry and do a long term investment rather than a short term investment /trade.

Hello,

welcome to crypto world.

Do remember these basic rules to get success in crypto world

1. Before you invest do your own research and then invest. Don't list to anyone.
2. Be aware, there are many scammers and hackers. Don't give your private keys, passwords to anyone and don't write it on anywhere on your computer. write it on paper.
3. There are many new ICO's coming and running , do your proper research before you invest.
4. If you want to buy already launched crypto, remember this rule : Buy at dip and sell at high.
5. To get latest news, keep your activate on social website and telegram groups.

All the best

Yeah Ive followed these rules too as what I have learned from months of reading and posting in this forum. Rue 1 and 3 are my most important rules, because if you cannot have proper ICO latched on, you might as well be scammed.

To be honest I am new to this crypto field, but have some experience. Some of them from my own experience and some of them from my friends who have involved in the field with me. Number one thing is, study the background of crypto, some history and technology behind it and how them works. Next, try to find out the ways of making money from this field as there are several ways to make money than trading. Do not trust unknown people as the field is full of scammers. Always keep in mind that, there is no authority to complain any frauds, so take your time and analyse before investing.

Well first you really have to learn the basics of trading go here at babypips.com that website was very helpful to understand basic indicators, support and resistance and many more when I was newbie. Then if you want to start to trade search the best altcoins that you think that really that has really used in our world in the near future because for sure it will be huge and possible to give you a very big profit if you buy it.

There are a huge number of news channels. But on the path of a beginner, surely there will be projects that promise 10-20-30% per day, telegram pamp-groups, telegram signals-group. All of them are aimed at inexperienced users. Just go around their side. It is necessary to remember. Here you need to work hard to get money

I think the main thing that I would like to advise you, don't wait for a miracle. You will not become rich with cryptos for a week or a month. It's the same job where you need to constantly pump your brain.

The best practice to teach newbies in crypto is the importance of research and study. If you're to venture this complex world, better equip yourself with enough brains to understand how things work here. Without the right knowledge in crypto, you'll end up on a stalemate...

Super.. instead making threads .. learn read understand..

Hello,

First of all welcome to the world of crypto currency.

There are some instructions :

1. Don't trust words of all , do your own research before you invest in any project.
2. Be aware of scammers. There are many.
3. Don't share your important information to anyone.
4. you can take help of websites, youtube and other channels to do research on project in which you want to invest.

Recently i was doing research and found that cybermiles is going to launch it;s public testnet through live conference on March 30 at 11:45 AM (GMT+8)! and their CEO recently tweet that it is 100 times faster than Ethereum.

So you can check these types of live conferences to make sure that your investment is worth.

All the best

If you are going to invest in crypto you should look at the roadmap and the projects you will invest as your investment results will be captured from the performance of the project. Select crypto that has stability and more famous.

If you want to start trading then it is necessary to find currencies with low level of volatility. It would make this currency useful for traders for more comfortable trading. This is important for the beginner.

First of all learn how to secure your funds. Most of newbies got trapped by phishing links or scam emails so it's very important to be aware of it. And don't trust other's opinions, always try to do your own investigation, because no one can predict what will happen in crypto even the best analytics and trades make mistakes. And never invest more than you're ready to loose.

Now the market is red, so it's very difficult to give advice. You can lose your money. Better do something else. Do not trade now, and do not invest your money now (if you are newbie).

So if you are a newbie in crypto AND in trading I would recommend you to learn some basics about market psychology, trend analysis, risk to reward ratio and portfolio management. Along the way you can learn basics about blockchain technology and what projects have done in the past, are currently doing so you have a better understanding of what they are trying to do in the future to kinda catch up with what's going on in the space.

I have a steemit blog that I'm recently doing with technical analysis knowledge if you would like to see it go check it out :)

Welcome to the cryptocurrency world. This forum is a great place for you to exchange and learn real-life experiences, you can ask about all things crypto related. However, I recommend that you keep your information confidential. because there are hackers and fraudsters. And finally, buy the potential altcoin for cheap and only sell when prices rise if you want to make a profit.

I can recomend you to read more discussions on Bitcointalk and Reddit.
Also you should learn the basis of crypto by just searching unclear points for you on the internet. For example, you have found a word "blockchain", which you do not know, go and read about it somewhere.
After it you will have quite clear image of all industry this way :)

Having a guidance is all newbie's are ever wanted. A man/woman who can help us in understanding what crypto really is and how to use it properly. I try that all because Im also a newbie.

We all started as newbies, don't get intimidated reading others post and if you feel like you have zero knowledge about crypto. To learn more about crypto, don't hesitate to ask from the experts, do research, watch crypto-related videos, read legit articles and visit legit websites. This forum can be one of the best source of information and a venue for the best pieces of advise. Be patient in dealing its volatile market, eyes on the prize, be hardworking and pose the right attitude. Everything will be paid off and rewarded.

Research is the number one tool you need in this kind of business, if you can research your research just to make things sure. Then, do it!
Though, remember that there is no 100% in this world, so always take precautionary measures.
Then invest!
And always take note of those scammers who wants to get the most out of you! Hahaha  ;D
