HODLing while buying more

I am HODLING with no profits and I have no interest in profits at all, I am just supporting bitcoin idea, I am philanthropist. (Sarcasm)

I have little balances in btc and altcoins, but do not have usd, for this reason i am on spectator mode oonly

Actually on current massive bloodbath across crypto market my portfolio is down by over 70% but I am still holding all of my coins tightly and buying more at discounted price because corrections like this will remove panic weak hands which is needed for more healthy surge in future.

I use my remaining capital to buy btc at the cheapest price. because btc this year is more violent than the year previous year. btc prices can be very fantasis before the end of this year ..

I have some BTC already - I am using this opportunity to buy more NEO

I'm hodling but my profit margin is very small now, less than 20% left

It is very obvious that almost no one is doing well right now, even if you are still in profit, the profits you have right now are nothing close to what we had just some weeks ago, I suppose most of those that invested in the last month are panic selling since they entered the market at a bad time, anyone that bought before September is still doing fine but lets hope things improve in the next days and weeks.

Hodling over here, for quite some time now. Of course it was not funny to see the price fall, but I never felt tempted to sell a single satoshi.
I'm on the bitcoin boat for several years now and I think it is impossible to be here for such a long time an have not made any profits.
So I would count as one of the hodlers who make profit.

It's quite surprising to see that as many voted for holding at a loss compared with holding in profit, it means they're people who got in to bitcoin in the last 2 months or so. I'm still up considerably on my initial investment and that's the most important thing. Of course it is easy to look at days gone by where I was up considerably more but that's in the past now.

I am Holding onto my coins and I will hold on them for the long term. Even the Market went down I am still in the
profit. Sure it will go back up at some stage end of Q1, if you see it historically.

I am currently spectator and I don't know if I will put my risk in buying cryptocurrencies. If ever, I would like to buy it in its lowest price. I think that it could be change in a matter of days. And it is our opportunity to take the sudden loss.

Never expected almost 50% of HODLERS to have a loss. I wish I had more data  ???

I am in your team, watching the situation and trying to understand what to do in each case — if market starts growing or if it falls more. It does not mean this is a passive position. Sometimes it is better to stop activities to take later the best decision.

and now bitcoin show of the power, price starting back to normal. i am a holder, only have small bitcoin ammount but it doesnt make me as a loser, because i believe someday, bitcoin will be the most expensive coin in the world

On this site, it's mostly hodlers.

If you want to know about new investors, your best guide is to look at Google Trends for the keyword "bitcoin". What usually happens is noobs read about bitcoin in some news article. Then they google it to find out more. Then they register on an exchange like Coinbase. They might also go to reddit to find out more. They rarely come to bitcointalk (though in 2009 - 2013, this was the go-to place for information).

When google trends is down, it means noob interest has waned.

I knew I would get a lot of HODLERS here, but was curious to see if there were a lot of panic sellers too. If it went below 3k, I would have become one too, although previous historical crashes were much worse and rebounds were always greater. Glad that didn't happen and I kept the threshold very low. It is comforting to see that there are many HODLERS like me and I am not the only crazy one to catch a falling knife. Also nice to see some green percentage increases after a long time  :)

I'm just hodling with no profit, when market is down I can't buy back for the cheap price. So, I just watching market activities.

I do not fit in the hodler category because the bitcoins I have I did not bought them but rather earned them via mining, trading, etc. But for sure I sold none to this day, even though I spent some, since I am in favour of Bitcoin being used as a true currency.

I prefer to hold some coins for investment. So far not disappointing, but there are some who are less profit because I am panicked to see significant price changes, but I make sure that the BEP has been achieved.

You will not lose anything if only you will hold. But if you panic sell you will lose all. I am holding because i know there will soon be a reversal.

I'm holding my bitcoins in a loss. I'm curious that what will happen next time.  So I'm really panic because of this huge crisis, I'm always watching crypto market. But I hope it will be fine soon that's why I'm still holding my bitcoin.

i am holding my coins with an extreme caution. why others where busy selling i was busy buying from the market to store them for future use, just check out some one who buy bitcoin some days ago when it drop close to 5,000$ and selling it now how much profit have the person made from that short period of time. there is no point in selling off your coins when you know that you are running a lose

I am a holder and I do not panic even though I lost big amount of my funds. I just know that the price will recover and will comeback to its original price or even higher, someday.

That's not true. If you hold and the price is lower than when you bought, you are sitting on a loss.

I am holding my coins with lost, but i am covering up by buying again some bitcoin at dip. When i see bitcoin going down in the market, i always find myself busy buying bitcoin while others are getting panic and spreading FUD. I am very optimistic that bitcoin will get through this.

I think many new bayer come into bitcoin because bitcoin price is decline. I prefer to hold my bitcoin to get profit eventhough I a little panic but I not panic selling because I know the market of bitcoin will recover and bitcoin will at the high price soon.

My investments are doing pretty well, I try not to use the coins much because they aren't worth selling at the moment.

In the bitcoin world I make a 50% long-term investment of all my existing bitcoins, and the 50% I make again for trading on altcoin and I do that too sometimes I take making flat money when it costs money, maybe everyone has a way alone.

There has been some pool in the past trying to find out if the users of the forum hold a bitcoin and for the most past most users do not have a bitcoin in their possession this means they are very small holders or simply cannot afford it, so those that are relatively new to bitcoin and those that have been around for long but did not had a bitcoin bought recently and as we know the prices were very inflated so it makes sense many are holding and losing money as a result of the drop in price.

Currently Holding with a big loss , Keep in it together and not trying to day trade or swing trade ,because there's that possibility of lising that amount trying to catch up with the current market state . I have time to hold because I don't really need the money now ,but it sucks knowing that there is a possiblity of buying other coins that has more potentials to pump and double . Anyhow you could never know what's really going to happen in this market we just have to be patient.

I think so many Panic seller and Seller with profit from scam site Out there, why I say like that's? Because we can see with the price of bitcoin and another cryptocurrency all go down!  How it can be? Because between demand/buyer and seller is not balanced, and so many naughty people sell their coin from their scam site, that like from ICO under investment bu actual that's scam. They get much money from there and now they sell their coin and makes bitcoin price and another cryptocurrency price go down! Thank you

the balance is constantly shifting because the number of people involved in bitcoin is shifting. for example a year ago there were more real investors who understood bitcoin than the weak hands who were in it to get rich. then the "want to get rich overnight" group grow bigger and bigger during the past year's bull run. now it is shrinking once again as they flee.

I think is HOLDING, because they don't want to loss their asset and Spectator (would buy if price drop), because that's good choose for investment in cryptocurrency world at this time. Bitcoin is matches for people who want to invest their asset for long term investment, because that's coin have very little supplay coin and from another side bitcoin is very famous between another coin, many peoples know bitcoin but don't know if invest in bitcoin can change our future, so is very recommended to buy when the price drop/down.

With the current market , i will advise you to HODL your FIATS, not investing anything just simply hold your money tight because now is the most dangerous time to invest anything. We don't know exactly what is gonna happen in the next month . No signal, no good news , just simply all the bad news with prohibited legality.

In my opinion and strategy, I am waiting for the crypto market to go down and I will invest. This strategy has been applied in so many places and my friends have pointed me out. I think this is the best way to make a profit. Holding will be a dangerous job and it's only for people with a lot of money.
I am not a person with a lot of money and I have chosen the last option.

Investing a lot of pluses The only negative is the more money you put the more profit will be.

In my opinion, This survey conducted on Bitcoin official forum is biased in its own sense. I don't think they are many spectators on this forum as it is the bitcoin official forum and only those members are active on the forum who are crypto-users. This survey will be more authenticated if conducting on some social media platform.

Although I am on minus, I am holding. If I would sell I would just lose more than I have ever gotten. Stay strong guys!
