The governments is now happy because our leaders has learned to controls cryptocoins market by creating panic through using regulations to attacked bitcoin and blockchain technology.
I think the only way we can proof to governments that bitcoin is decentralized and governments cannot control it  like our current financial system is to buy and hold our coins. When you sell outside your immediate need you are are helping governments to fight bitcoin!

we cant blame people if they sell , we have different needs in our life and the only thing for the others is to supply it by using bitcoin so how they will be able to hold if they have something to buy . Only big whales has the ability to do that for me .

How is holding bitcoin going to prove that bitcoin is decentralized? Also, I'm pretty sure that the government already knows that bitcoin is decentralized, and that's exactly why we're having problems with government regulations, as they can't control it.

Lastly, don't tell people what to do with their money. It's a free market.

Just stop selling the crypto currencies,even your portion of your crypto currency will take a part in the price of that coin,if everyone is holding then it will stop the price fall further more.But we can't control anyone saying don't sell but if they don't sell now they can make good reap in future.

I only currently sell anything at any time for living expenses and making sure my Family needs are met, but even during this great crash, I did not sell anything more than what we needed to survive on and also to fix a leaking roof. We want many things, like a car for example, but I am content that my Wife bought me an electric bike and for now that is more than enough for me to get around locally. Now is NOT the time to sell but to accumulate and buy, but next time there is a pump I will liquidate some of my cryptos, buy back in the dips and also take some profits.

this could work, but do you have the power to fight government? I mean if you can encourage everyone to just hold or buy it is good.. but people have their daily needs and they can't spend all their money buying coins. and there is also a fear of losing more money. indeed' buying now makes you a lot of profit in the future but the question is when will be the bitcoin comes back to its throne in the range of 12000 dollars? they don't have the assurance to do that so they sell their coins for their daily needs.

You just cannot go around insisting users to buy/sell at any point of time, as it is their money. Maybe your two cents can persuade them into doing as you suggest but it will still be their final decision with their monies on the line.
Indeed, governments have always been pressuring cryptocurrencies in attempts to regulate their usage within countries. While a majority of them have been futile, it still has impacted prices significantly.

Yes we just need following the trend of price cryptocurrencies, if our prediction of the will be more down for long time so we must do stop lost and if our prediction of price is starting recovery we must buy and holding for couples weeks or months. That's why before we start trading alternative coins will be better to learn about analysis technical to prediction of price, so we can not blamed other traders due to the price of cryptocurrencies are down trend.

The problem with our government is they want to control the bitcoin they are not innocent about this digital assets, they just want to control all kind of assets including bitcoin and knowing they can't control it because of its decentralized. They will just simply regulate it for at least they can track it.

The weak handed investors will eventually become a minority. This recent crash got rid of most of them, and the new money that entered saw what happened, so they'll be expecting something similar to happen - thus they're more likely to be strong hands. Rinse and repeat until the masses get that it's best to just hold onto their investment until blockchain is really mainstream, which it is still years away from. For goodness sake the combined marketcap is under 1 trillion.

Greedy moves by whales present in the market will never let bitcoin to grow rapidly in a continuous manner, they will always try to create the dumps with the help of panic sellers which are afraid due to the FUD spread by government through media.
Encouragment is much needed now when the market is polluted with the bad news and creating a bad impression of cryptos among the newcomers.

and depending on the government the person can end up dead just for making a simple critic about that same government... to fight a government is a very hard and dangerous task.


this is another important point, most of the people of the first world have better financial conditions, these people are in a very advantageous position and for these people may well buy bitcoin when the price falls a lot, but for the people of the third world and which is not in good financial condition, are not in a good position to buy bitcoin every time the price drops, in fact for these people whenever the price increases is a great opportunity to sell their bitcoins.

I cannot understand that if we hold the coins, then bitcoin will become decentralized and if we sell then it will become centralized. This means that this much of only knowledge you have in Bitcoin technology. Their is no relation between buying and selling of coins means anything to its technology. users sell coins as per their needs and no one can force them to not sell it.

This topic was not created to blame for their sell but to encourage investors by offering suggestion about bitcoin market so that the price would increase or atkeast remain stable a bit. Those who cry when the price goes down, should follow OP instruction so that we all may avoid loss in future

Yes we can really help to stop the bitcoin price from falling if people will stop selling and start buying more bitcoin. But we can't force them to do so because they have their own thinking about it. And there are some people take the opportunity to buy some bitcoin when the price go dip thus the price will increase, and upon seeing the price increase they will immediately sell their bitcoin to earn some profit that's why the price will start to fall again, so it can really depends on us if the price will go up or down.

Your post is very good but at the wrong place and the wrong time, how we can show off into government? who we are and what we have?. Giving proof is not that simple, specially into government in many aspect. Government will take control about anything and that their job, we can't do anything about it. Just follow the rules and try to become a nice citizen.

we can encourage other people to buy bitcoin and other cryptos but we cannot blame them if ever they want to sell their coins since we do have a freedom to choose and if they choose to sell then what can we do about it? instead of encouraging them not to sell, just encourage some people who does not know bitcoin yet to try investing here so the demand will still increase.

You are right and the government knows this already, especially the Chinese and that's the major reason for the outright ban as control of it hasn't worked for them.

Excuse me I don't think people gonna buy more cryptos in this situation. We can't blame those people who sell their bitcoins immediately. Because those people afraid that this crisis indicates the end of bitcoin. But I think for the current situation its good to hold what you have now and wait for the time that bitcoin overcome this criteria.

These people aren't thinking well. The crisis is very common in Crypto-Currency world, it's the called volatility. If they sell now they will lose money, if they hold the coins, they will make profit when BTC price increases sooner or later. It's not hard to reach to this conclusion. When people see that Bitcoin price is too low, they focus in buying it maximum as possible, then the price increases again.

I believe no one loses an opportunity to buy low and sell high, especially big investors. The problem is if the whales are the governments...

As I have said in the previous thread, government may have a hand on the current situations, regulations or FUD. But I don't think that they really wanted to create panic to buy it, and those attacks will only be short lived. Of course at this time the best thing to do is really just Hold and not Sell.

We don't need to fight government, we are going to survived from all of turbulence. As much as they want to control it, they can't because we all know that crypto is decentralized in nature. And crypto is here to stay for good, whether they like it or not.

China has known this for a long time and they used that power, in fact despite the huge movements of the market the markets are not moving as much as they did in the earlier years of bitcoin so their influence is going down and it is most likely because there are more people like us that hold their bitcoin no matter what, but no matter what we do there are going to be a lot of people that sell when bad news come out.

We have different set of people in the market, the real believers, the greedy ones who sometimes are like FOMOs and then the institution and whales who control the market. The real believers do not shake and they already understand how the market works, the FOMOs do not know anything and they are only looking for free money, once the FOMOs are there, the whales see an opportunity to play with their minds and then they rip them off.

At the end, market recovers and they start giving shitty talks that they lost a lot. Anyone who wants to buy can buy and whoever wants to sell is free, no need begging anyone as that is crap.

Soon, there will be headlines like "Asian exiting from crypoto, they are selling all their crypto assets"  before this Chinese Lunar New Year.

Don't put yourself as a financial advisor. Trading should be volunteer and based on free and fair system. May be in your country you have different culture. Here, we are not to endorse people to buy or hold anything against their will. Free market and free trade must be established. competition should be promoted, monopoly should be rejected. If crypto market fails because people don't want to invest in it, so be it. Let the market grow or fall naturally.

I think everyone should make their own choice whether to sell bitcoins or not. It is a free choice. But we can talk about cryptocurrency and decentralization in a large number of people through blogs, social networks and other sources of mass communication. Correct, bitcoin is based on the fact we want to be free from manipulation that comes from banks, and if that is the case we need to have a truly free market, so we cannot forbid people from selling their bitcoin, if people want to sell their bitcoin and lose money as a result we must let them even if we think they are taking a horrible decision.

Since entering the market, I found that hodling is the best way to profit long term.  But those who sold are likely waiting on the sidelines for the best possible entry.  The bull market will eventually return.

You have a point, but we can't control users to their decision. Most of the people are panic selling when bitcoin together with the other altcoins are going down they were immediately sell it to avoid losses. However, for me it's better to buy a lot of coins because if we hold it I'm sure that in the future it will become profitable.

Other than that I was not believe that crypto currency are stay in low value and not growing up, because I still believe that sooner all crypto currencies are striking up to the moon this year.

Anyone can create negative or positive news, and people will begin to believe.
If everyone says that bitcoin will cost $ 50,000 and all media will write about it, it will grow.

Well right now bitcoins value is low so i think some people will use this opportunities to buy and hold although what i think is that cryptocurrency is introduced in a wrong way, a lot of people is using crypto as an asset although it's fine but too much is always bad so sooner it will have a bad affect in crypto market.

Its nice support for bitcoin to proof itself can be decentralize and government can not control bitcoin.

The market is vast and I do not think what prompt price decline is because people are selling. There are multi facetted reason for price increase and decrease. The reason there is a market in the first place is to enable free movement. There will be in price increase on cryptocurrency market in due course.

This is what you call trading life you cannot command others to buy and hold. Every  trader has its own strategy how to earn. would you think the massive fall of price was cause of government restriction? For me it is not. This is a correction phase after as surge price last 2017. if you think trading is all about prices going up then you are wrong trading market is fall of ups and down and only those who have good trading strategy survive

The reason why I admire the dips. They are like filters, separating the deserving ones from those who have no trust and understanding of anything. I also believe many people would have sold out their digital assets because of this thinking that those coins might die very soon.

Not all of those that sold are waiting for it, some were burned by their greed and lost a lot of money, how eager will you be of investing in something that made you lost money? So only those which are able to understand the nature of their mistakes will invest again, that is why the recovery is going to be a slow process and will not accelerate until we see further progress in bitcoin.

No one is certain with the future of crypto, even though we say that it has a good future but there is a possibility that crypto might fall
and of course we will fail. We have to invest based on what we believe, if we think we have a good chance then we should, but do it with the money

You can't control them from selling. There's nothing wrong with selling though, because they have different reasons to do so such as buying other altcoins and ICOs, cashing out in case of emergencies or needing funds for other purposes in life.

It's normal these days to sell as much as we can, it's how cryptocurrency works. There are buyers, there are sellers. Sometimes, big players or whales are taking advantage of the bad news from the media to manipulate the minds of newbie traders to dump theirs as well. That's okay, just treat it as a correction or an opportunity to buy altcoins at lower prices.

Why beg anyone to buy in the first place? The only reason why we are here is because most people do not know the reason why they are investing and all they are looking for is quick profit, which is the reason they get swayed easily by the government and the institutions to make them give up the little that they have rather than holding.

I think it is not healthy in cryptocurrency to dictate what should the others to do. Crypto believe in decentralized system by initiating others what to do, then you are not different to what the government wants in crypto and that is controlling the system.

Yes and since it is an artificial demand the price will be impossible to be maintained and in fact this could produce and even bigger crash which is why you need to let the markets do their thing even if that means that in the short term you get painful losses it is better to get that out of the way so we can begin the recovery as soon as possible and this is exactly what it is happening with bitcoin, we hit rock bottom and after a few weeks its price has almost doubled due to the natural demand.

People can do whatever they want with their bitcoin. The truth of the matter is the market is open to anyone to sell and buy with hurdles. Bitcoin as already witness good reversal in price and the Bull market is already confirm. We can not tell people to stop selling or buying. We run an open and free market and these funder mental ideal should be respected to the letter unless of course we have better system that can replace centralized market!

The OP does not know that the market is generally influenced by the whales. They know how to read emotions from the charts, they know what to do to drive the market down or up since they know when there are weak hands in the market and they take that to their advantage. Also, this is even much needed for the market anyway, bitcoin right now needed that correction and at least for now, we can breathe fine and know where next we are heading to.

If they sell now, they will lose money, and if they hold these COINS, they will make a profit when the price of bitcoin goes up.

It’s not even a good idea. You can’t expect everyone to start buying and stop selling at same time, cause it’s not possible in anyway. The reason I said it is not possible is because we all don’t have the situation. Situations can arise at anytime, and other might need to withdraw their money in order to be able to help their life. So we can’t do the same thing at the same time. And if we all start doing such a thing, it will be difficult to make profit, and some people will use it to their own advantage.

Tell that to newbies who are uneducated who bought bitcoin just to make overnight profit, they are the first one who dumps their bitcoin and another cryptocurrency at the first sign of unrest the biggest gainers here are those who continue to buy low when small timers sell at a lost.

Good luck with your idea. You can't expect people to understand your point of view. We have our own ways of how we will handle our cryptocurrencies and neither the government has a say in it. Yes, they could throw a lot of attacks and threats to the use of bitcoin but it will still be of our own free will on how we will deal with it.

Holding the Bitcoin will not prove it's nature of being decentralised and buying more and more of it will not prove the point in front of government bodies across the globe ... regulations are required to avoid any misuse of the technology but the extent at which government interferes is up to us.

Educate yourself and other investors to identify ponzi schemes and fake ICOs which will eliminate the frauds that catches the attention of the government bodies. It is really not that difficult, after all they already control most of the coins in the market and that means they can manipulate the price as much as they want, when there is a new development they do their best to pump the price and when a significant amount of weak hands have entered the market they crash it, they earn money in the way up and in the way down and become even bigger after each cycle.

This is the same argument I want to say to OP. Free market and decentralized work’s perfectly when no one is controlling and saying what to do with his accounts. Encouraging and hyping can be considered an act of regulating.

Let the market play its own self. Beside the more people selling their BTC is a good thing in the cryptocurrecy because that’s means lower price of BTC. Take this opportunity in your advantage and move forward.

Unfortunately that is never going to happen, remember as long as people can obtain profits in the market they are going to try to seize some control of it and make money that way, that is what the whales are doing even if at the beginning they believed in decentralization and all its benefits once they see they can earn money manipulating the market then it is a sure thing greed will take over and they will try to benefit themselves.

We can not forbid people to hold their bitcoins because they have their own needs and perceptions of how they apply bitcoin as it should, no power to do it all. But everyone without being asked to buy and store their bitcoin has done it, because they are smart enough to read the market situation that someday there will be a spike, everyone is crazy about it so there are many ways to make bitcoin on top. When the price rises so that there will be a mistake that occurs again.

I think we should encourage people on buying bitcoin because that would benefit them if they can hold for a longer period of time.

Buying and selling activities makes a healthy crypto market. If we just buy, buy, buy and never sell,sell,sell then the crypto market economy is stagnant. Buying and selling should be in synergy to continue to grow this cryptocurrency world. Big whales doesn't make a healthy flow of cryptocurrencies.

The markets don't work that way. Bitcoin can't always just go up in price. It has to go through down trend for the market to evaluate its correct value. You should actually be stocking up in such periods instead of worrying about the price. Bitcoin is a disruptive technology and theres nothing stopping it from going to the mars.

At the end the growth in the market needs to be organic, it doesn't matter how much you promote bitcoin among people, the people need to begin to adopt bitcoin because it's on their best interest to do it, if bitcoin begins to work as a currency as it should and keeps working as an investment then more people will adopt it. The growth will not be as fast as we want but as long as bitcoin is still useful we are going to keep getting a growth in adoption.

The government will always get in the way of anything that they have no control over. This fact is another power point for Bitcoin to become widespread in the world. Trading is naturally unstable it will increase and it will drop. This is  basically the way of the  Market.  It's the trader himself who makes decision best for him as to when to buy and when to sell.

Holding bitcoin while the demand becomes high will help increase the price, thus it will be good for the trading market if everyone would do the same thing and would have enough fund to surpass the current downside of the market. But then we cannot force everyone else to hold because we have different life and need to survive. Yes, people would take the chance to sell their btc when they see minimal profits to roll over again or meet their needs. We do have different strategies and let us hope that all of us will make great profit soon.

Government cant control it, they can implement to put tax in every transaction in exchanges but not in btc itself. Also, everyone has a free will to hold or sell, you cant coerce investors to just hold because that's how they earn by selling although newbies are usually the ones doing panic sell.

That would be a risky bet. What if after holding it for a while the price falls even lower. A person would lose most of the money and would lose faith completely. This market is heavily manipulated by big whales who have the majority of the stakes. Our small contribution doesn't even make any difference.

totally agree, people have different beliefs so even if you spread the word on buying not everyone will actually buy and not every one will actually stop selling because there are reasons behind why they are trading, i believe the news about crypto are the source of prices lately.

We will never know when the price can go up or you can go down and most of us are unable to predict the direction is going to take, the question is if you are willing to hold no matter what? If you are not then it is probably better that you choose another investment with a lower risk, but if you're willing to hold then that is precisely what you should do, do not panic because if you do you will lose a lot of your money, the most important virtue for a holder is patience.
