Title: whats the go with bitstamp and ripple purchase hikes? good exchange to get Rip?
Post by: jestronix on September 07, 2013, 12:52:43 PM
why the hell is ripple so hard to get your hands on for the actual chart price?  1 BTC at bitstamp gets me 12287 XRP, yet to get one BTC selling back to bitstamp from in ripple costs 20,640.0012 , WTF ! thats one hell of a markup

if they want ripple to work, open up the real price and take your .3% trade like all other exchanges do. why so restricted ? they bought a crap load early on in the game i think, and they wanna make their money back on it.

anyone know of an exchange or site thats good for trading ripple ?  I bought 3 BTC of it, thank god it was back when BTC was $70 and ripple was about todays BTC rate.

what you do is you deposit your bitcoin into bitstamp, and then withdraw into ripple. then you use the trading feature within ripple to buy ripple.

the "buy ripple" function is a ripoff on bitstamp.

if you appreciated this information or need more help, my btc address is below

Better option is to withdraw BTC from Bitstamp to Ripple network and then to exchange BTC IOU for XRP inside Ripple network.

This is why everyone including me thinks ripple is pretty much a scam, they seem to be operating on hype a lot like butterfly labs do and they're keeping everything closed source and hush hush, yeah like I'm going to trust that kind of organisation that also happens to have access to infinite ripples they can quite literally create on a whim. Trust me, you're not the only one who is deeply suspicious of ripple, it's a bit like how a lot of cinemas operate by saying that you can't bring in outside food and stuff and then charge you stupid amounts for their own stuff when you get in.

ah thanks guys will try this, was wondering what the go was. how many people have been caught out by that, that really should be removed.

yeh the idea was great, and ill keep my little investment in it, certainly dodgy on how closed it is.  doesn't our government technically  have unlimited money they can just print when they want? i guess they were trying to get around the same issue BTC has with limited coins. Capitol hill day care coupon scenario.

I'm using Ripple network for about 5 months, network works fine for me.
