Yes, of course it is cheating. The developer is a scammer. He stole all the coins from the clients webwallets. These coins are on the chain. I think the developer will come back in 1-2 years. But anyway it is better to be cautious than losing it all. While it's early it's better to pull out any investment or regret it afterwards.
