"They" is actually "him". He is not very likely to run with your measly bitcents. It was always clearly stated by instawallet that it is a "fun" project, not a venture for profit. "Instawallet is not a bank", so you should not have used it to store larger assets with it anyway. Wait until it comes back up, withdraw the majority of your assets and leave only what you are willing to / can afford to lose. I know that they aren't a bank, but I don't think MyBitcoin or services like it claim to be banks, either.
My point? A cloud wallet service is only as good as its uptime. Even if I'm only storing a few fractions of a coin there, if it's down, those coins are effectively gone. I'm sure he's working as hard as he can to get it back online, but it's still down as of right now. It's been about 20 hours or so since I first noticed it. Here's to hoping.
