I don't know how trusted are those guys so be very careful. But if you are looking for one, you may want to check this thread by LoyceV.

He has a good reputation so I say that he is trusted. The process is very simple and being laid out for the very beginning. You just have to follow it. Goodluck.

There is also a privacy tradeoff involved. Vanity addresses are expensive and thus may tend to be reused, which would be bad for anonymity.

They are not safe.  You can always find the private key in this thread...

NO!
If someone else knows your private key, you can and will steal your funds. Several websites offer vanity addresses, and they should not be trusted unless they use a split key approach.

You can easily make a vanity address by yourself, see: Vanitygen: Vanity bitcoin address generator/miner [v0.22] (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=25804.0).

But if you are looking for one, you may want to check this thread by LoyceV.
Thanks for remembering me.

You're linking to a phishing site that most likely steals password and hacks accounts! Please correct your link to Bitcointalk.org. If you add this to your hosts-file your computer can never accidentally use that site again:
Code:
127.0.0.1       bitcointalk.to

The correct link to my topic: Pretty Addy Giveaway - part 2 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1813624.0).

Thanks, but the point of using a split key is that you don't have to trust me.

It's safe to store Bitcoins in a vanity address that you created yourself, using your own computer. Websites that offer vanity address generation are not, even if the backend doesn't safe the password then it can still be obtained by a thief, especially when use unencrypted HTTP. So when you really want to do this, make sure your computer is not infected, then use a program like this https://github.com/samr7/vanitygen. Also this program can be compiled from source, for extra safety.
