Title: Swept bitcoin key from Armory to Electrum - why does it still show in Armory?
Post by: bfg2001 on February 07, 2018, 09:52:03 PM
Hi All,

I just swept bitcoin from my Armory wallet to my Electrum wallet. It seemed to work fine. However, I expected now that when I load armory
it will show a balance of zero, since I have moved the bitcoins to my Electrum wallet. But it still shows the same (previous) value? Now both
Armory and Electrum show a bitcoin balance?

I would like to get rid of Armory from my system, but am afraid to do so until the balance only appears in Electrum.

Any explanation and/or advice would be much appreciated.

Regards,

Mike

Since you were oh so kind to delete your latest over-the-top rant over at the Armory forum, I'll help.

1)Uninstall Armory.

2)If necessary, delete the Armory data directory.

Check both addresses in a block explorer[1].

If the address from your Electrum wallet received the coins and the old one from Armory is empty, then there is nothing to worry about. If you don't want to risk your coins, wait until the transaction gets confirmed and uninstall Armory from your computer.
