Its what lazy people use because they dont want to maximize profits. Plus its been hacked recently and every customer lost money with them.

Thats the nature of this board anymore, get more and more scammers each day its getting annoying.  Op there are plenty of good threads here for optimization, configurations, pools.  I would check around here and just delve yourself into the threads to learn. 

Not completely vouching for Nicehash as they have certainly had their issues but I think for a 1GPU user to ability to click and forget and let it mine/algo switch is the best way to go.

Pay into the nicehash wallet then payout to a coinbase address - fee free. The risk is minimal if you withdraw every few days to coinbase. I agree its 100% not worth using them to mine to an external wallet as the balance is too big to lose

I started out miming Monero but I quickly found that it took 3 months to get a payout. That was way too long.

So I moved to Nicehash, where I get payouts every few days.

Nicehash may not be the most profitable but it’s nice when your starting out. Than consider moving to other miners from there.

As mentioned above, Nicehash did get hacked and people lost quite a bit of money but at least they had the sense of responsibility to pay the miners in installments whereas other sites would just go down permanently.

Join to the pool, I suggest for mining Equihash Algorithm such Zcash coin or if you difficulty to configure manually switch coin, you can using Nicehash.

people should really keep up on stuff, atm dual mining is worthless since Baikal released a asic that mines pascal,sia,dcr and one or 2 other algo's, not to mention bitmain released an asic for siacoin as well

As a noob myself, knowing very little about crypto mining I tried minergate, ran it for a few days
and it stayed on unconfirmed earnings, so had a look around and found this forum
which had thread about it, some suggesting it may be a scam others not.

I kept away from nicehash because of the Hack.

So I switched to betterhash, windows64 based GUI, download and run, very easy to get going as an newcomer.
Well worth a look.

In the meantime i'm reading alot trying to learn before I jump in the deep end.

Loads of knowledge here, just take the time an make an effort to find what yer looking for.

so what if baikal released an asic for sia and that's all i know off never heard it released an asic for pascal as the diff still too low and still mining with gtx 1070 on dual mining eth or another fork still profitable as i was doing last month  he could also try equihash algo maybe zclasic have a little more cents than dual mining

Uhh, NiceHash actually gives some of the bets profits as of today, though mining directly is always a tad more profitable, Nicehash is right behind. Sure they got hacked, and even with their sketchy repayment program, I still use them. I dont trust them with my bitcoins, so I withdraw to coinbase (NO FEE!) as often as I can.

The link he posted is actually a good resource for beginners. Just because the TLD is "help"? The website does not ask you to download anything from their servers. The resource is safe and good quality.

By far the easiest step by step guide to setting up Claymore can be found here http://www.cryptobadger.com/build-your-own-ethereum-mining-rig/ It talks about RX570's but getting Claymore setup with a mining pool is the same no matter what card you use. There is also a lot of general information on that blog explained well.

Once you are confident that your are setup, and understand the basics then I would recommend you look at undervolting and overclocking http://jkcrypto.com/mining-overclock-settings-for-nvidia-cards/

Also buy a decent electricity usage monitor like Kill-a-Watt https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9fkYTp_gETU so you know how much electricity you are using.

Lastly it should be fun, I've built 3 mining rigs and enjoy building them, but there is a bit of a learning curve so it's better if you enjoy what your doing! Good luck with it
