Hey guys I want your opinion on this prediction. Seems legit to me. Bitcoin is always growing in the long term.
Why not hit even this year 50K.

50k yes, but not 100k. 100k is exaggerated. Not this year, not next year, not anytime soon. All hell will let loose if BTC price does get to 100k. 20k caused a lot of uproar not to talk of 100k. Im not even sure 100k will happen

I had read in an article that bitcoin will reach 60k usd but we will experience another dip. when we are talking the long term investment then we should keep hodling our bitcoin . I haven't read 100k usd ,.only 60k usd. if that will happen then only hodlers will rejoice and be paid for waiting for the right time to sell.

BTC to hits 100K is too optimistic.
Please be realistic. BTC will hits in range of 25K - 40K is more reasonable looking at the marketcap right now.
Now days correction is also health for BTC before unleash a new ATH in several months from now.

Right now we are on the the 8K or something.. so although i would love to see the numbers in my portfolio, in my opinion a 100K would be very difficult.. Bitcoin has to grown fast to reach it. I think it would be more realistic to say it will reach the 50K or 60K but lets see.. time will tell

Until the end of 2018 is still far away, the year has just begun. It's possible that after the market subsided we are waiting for a sharp rise, but hardly $50K, about $100K in general strongly doubt. My forecast is maximum $40K in the spring even.

No doubts it will. The main question is "when". My guess is about the end of 2019, beginning of 2020.

Anything is possible. If you believe that BTC can reach that far, its your choice. But facing the true statistics on BTC right now, the price needs to have a very BIG NEWS to set its price to 20K again, like "FACEBOOK will now use BTC" those kind of news can alter its bearish market right now.

Yes, I am very enthusiastic about Bitcoin reaching $100K, but it will take huge time and I am ready to wait for that.

The 100k bench mark is far fetched for now. It has not even hit 20k so 100k is a dream for now.

I have such an idea. That bitkoyn obeys the same rule as everything in the digital world. It will double in price every 8 months over the next three years. Since August, bitkoyn has risen in price by more than 16%, and since the beginning of 2017 - by 465%. And this is only the beginning. In my opinion, the most popular crypto currency in the world will reach $ 100,000 very quickly.

We will see. As the banks and governments has started to embrace Bitcoin and crypto currencies, they may want the prices to be low until they hold enough Bitcoins on their wallets. After that the prices may get higher and higher.

Not sure that bitcoin might hit 100k, even 50k (although it is more realistic). My prognosis is that bitcoin would recover first to ist December position (about 20k) to this summer  :-\ and might reach about 30-35K to the  end of year.

I am optimistic when it comes to bitcoin but to reach 100k or even 50k is too exaggerated I think and this will not happen without any developments with bitcoin. If the Lightning Network is not yet released then there is no reason that bitcoin will reach this kind of price. All of us know that bitcoin has many problems already and that is the reason why bitcoin is for the long term. As long as there are no developments with bitcoin, it will not reach this price.

If bitcoin is accepted by store of value like gold by most people in the world, it can be $100.000 in the very long term but now it is very speculative and people don't know what it is, they just put their money in it to be rich in the short term.

There is lot of predictions around 50k in this year, the only thing that i know is that "nobody" predicted that bitcoin could reach 20k in 2017, so who know what will happen this year ?, 50k seems possible & desirable : P

100k is surely possible in the near future, maybe not this year. I prefer a healthy growth (100-200% gain per year) to be honest because it will wash out speculants and the tech needs some time to develop.
My prediction for this year is 50k and next by the end of 2019 somewhere between 100k and 300k.

Yeah some predicted that it will grow till it hits 100k. Idk really what will happen if we are talking statistically that number is true if we try to predict using the numbers we have now it will reach 100k yet idk know if that model contains the constraints that may happen if BTC hits high prices.

According to the video what i watch before that bitcoin for thia year was hitting $40,000 so that we hope thos who are holding for long term and hitting $100,000 was soon after i think 6 years from because step by step growing up the value but before that we assure that many of banks accept or they embrace also the cryptocurrency.

My opinion is that bitcoin has no cost limitations, and therefore its price may even exceed the 100k mark, but no one now can predict the course, because today bitkoin behaves very unstable. Personally, I still think that bitcoin will rise to a mark of 75k $.

What could really boost the price of Bitcoin is if there are goods or services that are in high demand that you can only buy with Bitcoin.

Because of constant development how to make Bitcoin better, I have faith Bitcoin will reach $100K one day. But its important to realize in the past there were years without much Bitcoin price increases. Yep. I also believe that bitcoin might hit this kind of high at the end of this year. Bitcoin has succeeded all the fuds now and is expected to go up. Guys, we're still on the first quarter for this year, and we are still up for 3 more quarters. So it means that this kind of high is possible enough.

None of us have any clue.  I remember speaking with very intelligent and much more knowledgeable Bitcoiners on here before the blow up to 20k and none of them had any idea we'd get to that number as quickly as we did.  I remember saying I bet if Amazon announced bitcoin as a new payment means that Bitcoin would hit 15K, and this was when Bitcoin was at 8k.  It took much less new than that to blow past 15k.  At the end of the day if you believe in this technology just know that the sky is very high but no certainty is ever promised.

I think that the moment has no chance of reaching 100k $. People lost too much on the last correction. Now it takes time to make up for the loss and rebuild confidence in Bitcoin.

btc should surely hit this figure but it needs to bring a lot more development forth to stop the leakage to alts that don't really have any reason to exist if btc can solve a few issues.

When you are talking about Bitcoin you always have to multiply your prediction by 2 😁.
I think that the bitcoin will hit 100k in the end of 2018. Because his capitalisation is going to grow very fast. Goverment's structures work on the law and bitcoin regulation. We've seen first futures market for cryptocurrency.

Actually, no. BTC is not foundamental capital.

We can hit 100k but not anytime soon. The market will experience a lot of bloodbath and many people will lose money and lose hope with bitcoin. I have often these kind of threads and now I'm openly going to say stop believing everything once says, here on net. I love bitcoins but I tell people to keep realistic expectations. Currently the trend is against bitcoins hence a range of 9-15k is what a target one should have. For the year end I expect it to be higher but keep a watch on all news, I don't expect it to hit that, I prefer to set realistic target.

From my personal point of view, it is not possible to have a 100k price. Because more and more governments tighten the BTC and BTC is also a place for money laundering crime, so this year America and Europe will tighten the MOF. Currently the biggest market is China and this country also has tough action with bitcoin. 50k is possible but 100k is exaggerated. If you asked anyone at the beginning of 2017they would say you are to optimistic for 20k price if not for 10k mark. Now look at the same situation and the price is now around 10 let's say so it could bring 100k, it is possible even if I can't imagine it's price being this high but it is.

Hitting 100k is not bad prediction but too much exagerration. I would agree if it would reach between 50-60K this year. If that happens, everything will go back to normal, I mean, business is booming again. I also read an article that Bitcoin will certainly hit a big amount this year. Many said that it just keep on falling but I refuse to believe it. I also do hope that it would hit that big!

Well, as Bitcoin never exceeded 17K, I really doubt it's going to reach 50K this year. But who knows? maybe in 5 years, that would be more realistic.

It probably will eventually, but I doubt it will be this year. As we have seen from past dips, there is usually a prolonged period of relative flatness/slow growth before the large volatility swings occur again. The only thing different this time is the futures trading. This could have a positive impact and cause growth to accelerate or have a negative impact if the banks start their practice of using paper trading to remove any scarcity to allow them to manipulate the price at will and trade paper crypto that doesn't even exist (like they've done to the gold and silver markets).

I think the value of 100k is very high. If it reaches 50k I think it could happen in the future because the potential of bitcoin is very good. And technology will continue to evolve with the times. I believe the worry is if lets say 70% of the hash rate is gone, the difficulty adjustment is once every 2016 blocks, so worst case right after you adjust the difficulty, 70% of the hash rate evaporates. now you are stuck mining the next 2016 blocks at 30% of the hash rates. Eventually we will get through it and difficulty will retarget. Everything after that will be back to normal. But it'll be a painful couple weeks\month until the difficulty adjustment happens.

Now if the fees skyrockets, then there would probably be other miners joining in to rack in the fees. I think we will see miners shipping their equipment to other countries to continue mining.

Bcash has an easier time with this scenario since they implemented DAA which adjusts based on the last 144 block average. They would be able to retarget difficulty faster than bitcoin will.

I don't know when bitcoin will reach $100,000. Right now I only care about COINS, COINS now $8000, it has stopped falling, will soon be back to normal, in February, the bitcoin is expected to return to $10000, $20000 over the coming months will be back.

Your prediction is really very high and it is not possible to reach in days, Bitcoin market kept increasing and the chances increasing price is also high but 100k is really very high and it will another 25 years to reach that value.

Bitcoin can reach $100K, we all hope so but I think this it is not yet the right time or even in two more coming years. Bitcoin now is in its dipping price and is  having a hard time to recover especially that more people wants to get rid of bitcoin. If it will only be legal and widely accepted, this price is not hard to achieve.

I believe in $100,000 in two years BUT I think the $500,000 mark will take at least 5 years, 12 years at the latest. Which once it hits 100k I don't see it having much purpose as an investment it then turns into a commodity for me. 500k it becomes as valuable as gold and with being as widely used.

Actually I doubt that bitcoin will reach 50k this year. That's too much. But maybe it will at the end of the year when whales will be ready to withdraw their money and will pump bitcoin as much as it possible

I am still confident and optimistic about bitcoin. It will return to its position in the next 1-2 months. Although recent barriers and disadvantages affect location and loss of bitcoin value. Actually no one can predict like that will going to really happened in future but there are some chance btc to hit 100k because only still only few use bitcoin for transactions (still less than 1% from world population) soo if bitcoin become major currency there are many people invest in bitcoin and that will cause for massive price pump for bitcoin but my prediction is 100k is too high and very difficult to achieved. 50k, 60k sholud be a good achieveble price for bitcoin

I dont think we are out of the woods yet. Still need the issues with regulations to properly settle first.
I believe that the prices will experience yet another dip (perhaps a little or perhaps a crash) before stabilizing, and slowly picking up, and then going to the moon towards the later half of this year.

So i think it is not realistic, and there are more interesting topics to discuss about crypto, then wondering about the unrealistic price.

Bitcoin will definitely hit $100,000. But not that quick. I think it will not happen within the year 2018. It might happen in the year 2019 though. But the determining factor would be its performance within this current year. Right now, we have fallen quite hard and we are in fact still struggling to get back at least to $10,000. When $10,000 will happen in the next days, I guess $50,000 is very easy to achieve within 2018.

I joined to all of that when the price was 1000$ and the maximum, which I expected in 2017 was 3000$, but bitcoin broke all my expectations. I already heard prediction that in 2018 year the price will reach 40-50k$, but what stops bitcoin to break our expectations again?!

To me $100k this year seems very unlikely, it would mean two consecutive years of 10x rise, 100x total. Even $50k now looks very far off. Bitcoin needs to break $10k first and to stabilize above it. It may take months.

100 k is way too optimistic.. 50 k is more possible but still I think this year ATH will be around 25-28 k.. :)

In 2018 is the year for ETH not BTC, BTC increased and in my point of view overvalued not the parity between btc vs eth will increase, in other words I can not say btc will hit this or that but the thing that I am planning is eth will valued more than btc will do this year.

Bitcoin hitting 50k would be pretty nice, that's quite possible.. Hitting 100k is highly impossible right now and I think that would be the beginning of a disastrous end for investors.

I'm not sure that bitcoin will cost 100k, there are a number of reasons for this! The first is that bitcoin is now passing the psychological barrier of the population and the second is that in China there is still a new year and there are no open exchanges for trade!

Bitcoin is unstable, sometimes it run very fast, sometimes slow.
It is really shocking when price was falling down very fast. Its under demand how many bitcoin people wants and how its mines.
So prediction is so difficult. Then, people thinks it hits $100k in this year.
But I think its so high, $50k may be. But not sure.

Same here many self proclaimed crypto currency experts are predicting that we will get a new all time high of around $50k-$60k this year. Of course this is possible as last year i have never expected we will even reach $10k  and most people are saying $10k is too optimistic, well we know what happened.
I think $100k will unlikely happen but there is still a small possibilit. If we reach $50k i think there will also great consequence after that new ATH, There will be a big correction as well.

Bitcoin will always growing in the long term, but it won't reach 50k this year, I think its impossible. This year bitcoin would face huge issue that could crush the price, but don't worry it won't be long. They will rise again.

It is already comprehensible if we say btc price will hit 20k dollar mark. But when you say 100k then it is already exaggerating fact. All of us know that it is already hard for btc climb back to 19k peak how much more climbing 100k dollar.

Bitcoin needed 8 years just to hit that 20,000$ price so if you calculate bitcoin will reach 100,000$ price after 40years or more.

This is just a prediction and all hope of bitcoin users, hopefully in the near future this can be achieved 100k. But do not be too hopeful not to feel disappointed if bitcoin will not reach 100k, because no one can predict exactly when bitcoin will go up or down.

The bitcoin price will increase and break the last highest price but I don't think it will reach $100000. It is still not impossible though. We don't know it will really reach to that point, and that is a very good news.

$100,000 that's impossible to happen, some of us were happy if bitcoin reach that price because we gain profit but we forgot the fee how much will we pay if that happen and I don't use bitcoin anymore because of that fee. Remember in last year bitcoin was reach $19,000 and the fee was around $20+ that's too high for me so if bitcoin reach $100,000 then the fee we pay is around $100+.

If Bitcoin reaches that high, it needs rules and regulations to follow or guidelines why is it that high and benefits from the usage of it. Predictions are just that: predictions. Your cant never be sure of their accurancy. Talking about Bitcoin, I believe anything is possible. On the beggining of the year, a lot of "experts" were talking about bitcoin falling into $5000 and then rising to $50000 in 2018.

If we observe the behaviour of Btc from the last year, we see this is quite umpredictible. So, even when I truly believe eventually Btc is going to reach an umprecedent price such $100.000 or so, I cant say when it is gonig to happen. Next year? In a decade? Who knows!!!

Thats why I never fix my investments based on speculations or predictions. I just try to live to the day, instead of being worried about what price is expected from Btc to reach. For all that news are just based on smoke. Nobody can really knows what is going to happend (saving maybe those who holds the biggest amount of Btc). This is too much prediction. How funny people would expect it would reach $100,000, im not that negative person but i see it will come that way. It is a very exaggerating conclusion, an impossible hypothesis, already a null. The total supply of bitcoin would not fit parallel to a price of $100,000 even when all of it is sold to the market, when it comes to the end it will end and would just circulate at a fixed price.

Since it seems legit, maybe it will reach 30k? But im still having doubts of it having a value of 50k. 1) Smartphone penetration and mobile internet access is increasing at a rapid rate in developing countries. This means that people will search about options like bitcoins and also invest in it.

2) In my country, I have seen people making dedicated YouTube channels related to crypto and they are getting good response. I hope this will result in more awareness about bitcoins resulting in more investors.

$50k is more possible than a $100k this year but we could not know if it hits that kind of amount. But we have to hope for it to be that way and i would be happy to be able to reach that much amount this year. Maybe some people will predict some hyper amount for bitcoin but they did not know how many people already invest in it and how many coins remains in circulation for bitcoin. And the recession is coming, 10 years is a very long time for a market run, the market economy has fluctuations and it will be going down sometime, and that will drastically affect btc too

Bitcoin will eventually reach $100,000. It will probably take a couple of years though. I think this year we will be lucky if the price gets to $20,000 by the end of the year. Recoveries from crashes can take time. It could take months to even years to fully recover from a crash. We may not have seen the bottom yet for Bitcoin or the other cryptocurrencies.

Yes, there were many reason that caused the crypto market to crash, but I think one as a suitable reason for bitcoin that is the issue with its transaction speed, scalability and the transaction fee issue. Not before long, the transactions of people were even stuck for more than 14 days and the transaction fees soared high between 13 dollars to 33 dollars that created quite much nuisance in the minds of people for bitcoin.

Scalability is also one of the great reason that is holding bitcoin back. It is just able to process 6 transactions per second and that is quite less if we are thinking about mass adoption for bitcoin.

This is a really possible price to reach for bitcoin because the supply is really low and just imagine if almost all of the people in the major developed countries are now buying and using bitcoin then it will be so easy for the price of bitcoin to reach new highs and that is when the best part come to the people who bought at a very low price, they will be so rich for sure.

Bitcoin still has quite lot potential to grow in the current market I agree on that. It is just of the first step of mass adoption. There are still quite many people that don’t know about such virtual currencies existence. As the word spreads, the market will grow and there is no doubt that bitcoin can achieve 50k$ mark point this year as it sounds pretty real to me with the market point of view. But if you say that its gonna hit 100k$ this year, I would disagree on that, though it can reach that mark point later but not in 2018.

Well 100k IMO is very hard to reach as of now seeing the market is low.Probably even reaching 20k seems to be hard it's very hard to say how the prices will move for last few months the prices are seems to be dropping or stable at around 9k.I know that bitcoins are great for long term investment but it doesn't means that it will definelty rise remaining of the year.40k seems a possible target but very hard to reach.

My prediction is the same as my prediction last year. There will be more predictions next year. Why stop at 100K when you can go all the way up to 1M? Kidding aside, for me to believe the predictions from these cryptocurrency experts, they should add that they’ve sold everything and invested it into bitcoins.

I don't agree with your prediction. You can see that the exchange rate of Bitcoin dropped sharply when 2018 begin. From $20,000 dropped to $9,000 now :(. I think this year, the rate of Bitcoin will reach the maximum rates $30000 at the end of 2018. And Bitcoin is suitable for long-term investment, not short-term; you should invest and hold at least six months to get profit.

Bitcoin is hard to predict because there is no accurate datas to based conclusions. I see bitcoin will reach $20000 again before the year ends, the hype last year made it reached the $20000 mark but will slowly fade as the year will enter because of lot withdrawals. 2020 is not that far from this year and it won't need a decade to reach that year, it will only need 2 years from now on. We can't predict the bitcoin market as every price is very possible to happen. If someone says that it can go up with proof then it's possible and if there is someone that will show himself and has some good technical analysis base on what's happening then there's a possible that it can happen to so its complicated.

I am thinking the same as you but don't forget about what we see in the last December, bitcoin price can increase in the short-time and many people were expecting to see that increase. bitcoin price can go increase without any reason and only depends on the demand in the market and if there is any request from the buyer to buy bitcoin but there is only a few bitcoin that is sold then it will make the price increase and maybe it will increase higher. we still too far with $50,000 although this could be possible to happen. one thing that I can do now is still keeping my bitcoin and not selling a big fraction of bitcoin if the price does not reach $25,000.

I think $100k is very big amount and bitcoin will never reach to that level, because many people predicted that in 2018 the price will be more than $30k minimum and $70k will be maximum.
