This is what will happen in the background: 1. A Swapper must deposit into escrow the total amount they want to swap from users at any given time 2. User wants to make purchase with merchant. Merchant communicates with Curve API and Curve finds a compatible swapper at the best rate 3. Curve pays merchant using escrow previously paid by swapper 4. Merchant delivers product/service to user 5. Swapper exchanges the alt coin and reloads escrow to continue swapping ABOUT Designed for Sustainability Our team has built wallets for top 100 and have consulted companies in the top 10. In doing so, we have taken note of plenty of mistakes they are making. Since September of 2017 we have been gathering data on many coins, from the most popular to the up-and-coming, and have modeled data sets to determine the best parameters for launching a coin that has the greatest chance of long-term success. We intend to translate this into not only the parameters of our own Curve Coin, but also into the decision making process that paves the way forward. That said, we also believe in democracy. So with every crucial decision that we need to make, we will first present our position to the community and open up voting to hear the arguments of the many before finalizing. Based on the analysis that we have conducted, here are some of our notable conclusions: Exchanges The Problem: Many new coins are rushing to exchanges after selling masternodes at a very high price and the volume isn't there to support it, which often leads to price decline. This appears especially true on exchanges that possess less market share. We understand that it's important to ensure the coins have tangible value, and exchanges are the only real way to do this, but we believe there are ways to be more cautious about the approach. Our Solution: Early adopters, especially masternode holders who get in at a fair price, stand to benefit the most from a successful coin. However, we can't expect regular traders coming to the exchange, who haven't followed the progress of the coin, to just buy in at a high price and hand us the rewards we seek. So it's important to meet a minimum threshold of publicly available content before we can expect the general public to become excited about what we're doing. As mentioned above, we've found that this effect only compounds on exchanges that have low volume/low market share in general. Because it is becoming ever more difficult and expensive to get listed on an exchange, Curve Coin will rush the effort to become listed on an exchange as a reservation, however we will schedule the actual listing date with the exchanges to ensure that we have met the threshold of publicly available content and user traction before it goes live. We will have our position of what we consider that threshold to be, but we will open up to community vote for actual exchange launch date. See the schedule below for a brief rundown. In addition, we want to run multiple phases of exchange launches, progressively listing on exchanges of higher volume, because higher volume exchanges enforce an equilibrium with those of less volume. We believe this increases the price of the coin too quickly verses the rate of adoption, isolates masternode spots (limiting network scalability), and ultimately crashes the price when adoption begins correcting for the over-inflated initial offering price and initial investors panic sell. Our Solution: Sell more masternodes to increase initial adoption and to stabilize holdings. Require more collateral per masternode to protect the investment. Lower (or cap) the initial price of masternodes so early adopters get in at a fair rate that has plenty of headroom to scale. Curve Coin will auction 50 masternodes, at 25,000 collateral, at a capped rate of 1 BTC per masternode. This will represent 5% of the network. We will encourage masternode holders to host their nodes in various parts of the planet (some coins recommend a single VPS, creating a single point of failure). I would guess that when plenty of these skein ASICs are up and running, this and other skein coins will get so diluted they will dump in price. So I guess I will sell mine sooner rather than HODLing. I dont get your logic and can you write more clearly? if there will be asics of this coin why will there because of this dump price? neccesity of making asics is when difficulty is so high that mining with gpu is unprofitable and at this time there is demand and accordingly price is high or average, otherwise what does matter to make asic? Because 99% of people who come to trade in Curve will arrive at the exchange via the links in curve's site, ann, discord (and links on masternodes.online!) anyway. So go for whichever exchange works well and is cheap and quick to get listed. In the future you can pick and choose with more care.

From Monday's meeting: We broke down the service to its roots, and outlined an MVP for proceeding in that direction. The starting point that we see now is one type of coin goes in, another type of coin comes out. The swapping service. A user specifies the coin that they hold, the amount that they want to send, the output coin and destination address. A quote is given by the curve.to website if volume is available, and the user is provided with a send to address. Once curve receives that transaction and it is confirmed, the swap will occur and the output coin will be sent to the destination address. The only part this leaves out for now is the 'last mile' type of transfer, which would be a fiat output. But if we can get this structure into place as a coin swapping service which is very easy to use, we can add in the fiat output a little bit later. On another note, we would use 100% of profits from the Curve.to service, for the foreseeable future, to buy CURV at market price to boost the coin. What we came up with is a "3 point curve", with an input, output, and Curve as the midpoint. We picture this as an arc, like throwing a boomerang, with one coin being thrown and a different coin coming back. While writing the white paper, we researched several exchange APIs, with one of the main ones being BitShares. During this research, we realized that exchange fees are going to be problematic with our originally envisioned process, and are formulating a more complex approach to reduce cost for the end user. As such, we will need a bit more time to flesh out this concept and put the details into the white paper. Marv is traveling tomorrow, returning mid Sunday, and we will be immediately getting to work plugging these new details into the white paper for release on Monday morning. We debated between releasing the current draft and waiting for the fixed version, and Marv argued that if there needs to be a slight delay in order to convey the correct vision, that is our wisest choice. We didn't want to leave the community empty-handed, though, and wanted to share this new development goal with all of you, so that there is an understanding that an MVP has been decided on, which we feel is definitely achievable in the time line originally given. We will continue to post new updates as they happen, and are committed to delivering the fixed white paper Monday morning. They affirmed they were incorporated, we asked for the name of the company, a registeration number, a lawyer. Nothing were given. They said they were working on a service, we asked for code, nothing. They barely delivered a whitepaper I could get on Upwork for 500 bucks and it's not even good enough to wipe asses with. It's a scam. Stay away from this.
