Title: China's memo regarding bitcoin is fake
Post by: farhaan on February 08, 2018, 02:24:16 PM
Most of the media sources reported that china is soon going to ban all websites linked to crypto trading and ICOS and foreign exchanges.A mailbox of PBOC was hacked and a fake press release was sent to media sources. It also said that PBOC and the HKMA have decided to announce a new anti money laundering regulatory framework. But later it was known that they had no such idea.

It created a lot of damage to bitcoin.Actually the hacker wanted to bring the bitcoin price down and he achieved it.

I'll tell you more. Such manipulations are not the first time and experienced investors and traders are not surprised. All these negative news, most often come out during the fall of the crypto currency market, to lower the rate even lower and large investors could purchase currencies at the most favorable prices.

Yes of course manipulations are popular and usual, but we should follow the official news, i am little bit confused after so many different and opposite information which was posted recently.

So maybe they do not believe in bitcoins because they have many hackers and maybe they do not want bitcoins because they believe they are scams. Several media sources reported that China will block all websites related to cryptocurrency trading and ICOs – including foreign exchanges. But this turned out to be caused by a hacker.

Title: Re: China's memo regarding bitcoin is fake

Quite suspicious if this is caused by a hacker. Why would PBoC let such a thing slip for days or weeks before taking action and releasing a statement that it is not them? Something doesn't pan out in here. Just like the past China events, I'm not buying this one. It's a major FUD caused by their own handle and surely they'd immediately take it down or release some statements to claim that it isn't them who published those.

Whatever the reason is, it already caused a massive panic on the market at the end of the day.

I read the source of your news, but this is not an official statement from China, and its accuracy still needs to be judged.
If that's true, I think it's a good time to buy bitcoins, which will soon return to normal.

Yep, that is all true, someone intended it to happen to that they could buy Bitcoin at a low price, and they succeed. I hope everyone there didn't panic selling, but I think most of them did.

Well this is a good news though I agree the damaged had been done but I guess to all who sold their coins in fear of holding worthless coins, but those who just hold bitcoin is not affected because they still have their coin intact.  Though those who are buying in the market with bitcoin is actually the one affected since they had their buying power devalued, but on the other hand those who bought Bitcoin just got a discounted coins.  So I guess it is a mixed of good thing and bad thing.

What is your reference? You need to post an article that will support this claim so that people in this forum will believe you. Spreading false news creates a huge impact in the crypto market and we don't want anymore fake news. Similar to what the previous news about China is trying to claim, who knows? This post might be a culprit in the coin's price fluctuation. Always provide links about news. It is for your credibility's sake.

Here's my take on this. Everyone should take everything coming from China with a grain of salt. Since the sudden U-turn we have heard numerous fake news from them, and now it clearly says that they are really creating massive FUD to bring crypto to its knees. There was one thread, I can't remember posting about this but with no links so I presumed that this is already fake news but the damaged has been done. So I urge everyone, to be really careful and cautious of everything they read, specially coming from China or Russia.

I honestly don't think that the China FUD even mattered all that much. A correction was imminent after such a major bull run. China might have been a catalyst, but I don't think it triggered anything that wouldn't have happened anyways. If anything, they might've helped us by correcting the market and thus preparing it for a strong 2018.

Is it still not obvious? They want YOUR coins, and that time on time again. I don't know if the memo concerning the recent China news is fake, but it doesn't really matter. In a market where the stakes are so insanely high, it's not possible to differentiate fake from genuine news anymore. I rather continue to focus on my own target, which throughout the years hasn't changed. People hold something more valuable and usable than Gold will ever be, but they still don't seem to realize that.

Whatever, Bitcoin is too big for any silly and corrupted dictator country like China to kill.
China doesn't want to kill Bitcoin. If that was really their intention, they would have taken the necessary actions against everything related to crypto years ago already. China is playing a dirty game here, and that game seems to be paying off nicely for them due to how stupid the general person is in this market.

the good question is, why PBOC didn't claimed that they got hacked and the NEWS that creates more panic in the past few month is wasn't from them, it tooks weeks before they declared that they got hacked. I think theres a biggest manipulation in whole bitcoin price by this whales from china. and they got what they want, they bring bitcoin price down.

This is all manipulation, hardly one person is involved, negative information came from all over the world, it was a special step to drop bitcoin. And they achieved this, many closed their positions unprofitable. Friends now on the market are very big money and I think that we are waiting for a very good growth.

Many of us for sure will be confuse to which news we will going to believe because i alone read it in all popular sites that China will ban the crypto currencies in their country in which South Korea also asking the help of China to support their movement on how to limit the existence of digital currencies in their country. Anyway, this development is good in which it will help to improve our support to Bitcoin currency and we will hope that this news is for real that we will not going to lost the support of the Chinese people.

I suspect that the news is part of the game of the rich and greedy people who have a lot of bitcoin and want to reap the rewards of the price declines they managed to create in the crypto market. However, we should not lose to them because we can still take advantage of the incident to buy bitcoin from now in order to benefit in the future because bitcoin is a digital set whose prospect is very good for the long term.

Its because of this hackers including the media who is responsible for the spread of the fake news.

There is article who always has negative about bitcoins. I don't think that China's memo regarding bitcoin is fake because it was an obvious than they even used bitcoin for transactions. Maybe the article you've read doesn't have reliable sources. The one who is affected about this are those people living in China who buy and invest on bitcoin because they might end up thinking that the coins they have in their wallet might devalue.

As far as I know, China's digital currency mines are moving out of China, and some exchanges have already banned Chinese residents from trading!

There has been no further news recently, possibly because of the Spring Festival in China! A lot of real work is slowing down!

I am not sure  whether the news coming out of China is true or not,i would like to ask you ,from where you got this information and can you link the news to any legit news site. What ever be the case, the Chinese government is pushing too much and since majority of the bitcoin mining farm is situated in China there will be a time when the government ask to stop those activities too and so more companies are planning to migrate to other countries like Canada to carry on with the mining operations.

It is a time of fakeness. Everyone wants to deceive other people. You can’t believe in any strange person who even wants to help you. Reason is our media is totally inputting a wrong picture of society where everyone is ready to kill other Peron. So is happening with bitcoins too. Someone is trying to demolish the good picture of bitcoins in population by creating such imitated news on internet.
