If the coin has "Bitcoin" as a first name that's a total scam and burn it with fire. They're just using the recognisable word for promotion, that's mean they can't get the public other ways.

I am seeing lots of advertise about bitcoin white. Their telegram group is so active. Team is working for listing on some exchange. Actually
i am not trusting bitcoin white but i  I would expect it to be added to a few exchanges to sell it.

Burn it twice with fire, and keep pouring oil on it. With all due respect to alternative cryptocurrencies, at least those that have really tried to improve on Bitcoins and provide alternatives have maintained their respect for Bitcoin. Bitcoin Cash/Gold/Zero/whatever are shameless exploiting Bitcoin's reputation while at the same time saying they are better. I used to be shocked at the lengths the Bitcoin Cash people went into trying to deceive newbies, but now I understand just what kind of people they really are.

In terms of trading, bitcoin white is expected to get listed on majority of the reputed exchanges. Another thing is that an understanding is found among the users that something with bitcoin in the prefix or suffix will add value to their project. In some cases it is true and some destroy the reputation of bitcoin which is taking place in the market.

It does not get any clearer than that, if the coin has bitcoin in its name and it is not the original bitcoin then do not invest in the coin, yes you could make some money with it but at the end it is a coin that is nothing but a scam if the project was a legit one they will look for a way to create their own image and name and not steal the name of bitcoin for their purposes.

For now my thoughts about bitcoin white is positive. I think it is one profitable coin to invest into as of the moment since team is active and so is it's community. You should hold that amount of bitcoin white for a while if you want more profit from selling it. Since you got it for free in participating signature campaign, it wouldn't hurt to hodl for a little longer because no matter if price decreases, you are still in green.

Not sure if that was a good coin but at least the development progress can become an evidence for that, as far as i know about the bitcoin white was similar with another bitcoin fork coin. But it doesn't reach a lot of interest from the traders and investors. That's why the price is very low compared with another bitcoin fork coin. But sounds a bit scammy.

Thanks for advice on this coin. I am watching what will happen. I don't usually criticize new coins. Using bitcoin name gives me more hope for the future of bitcoin itself. It's like a young boy who names himself after a renowned footballer. Friends may call him by that name but that doesn't make either the real footballer or the young boy fake. I can see all those who use bitcoin in their name are all bitcoin enthusiasts and mostly they sell their coins and hodl in btc. They claim to make things easier so let's watch what they have for us.
I am not asking anyone to invest though!!!

What is Bitcoin white? Is that a new cryptocurrency or to come next with ICO? Is that a fork of Bitcoin or anything else. This year Bitcoin has got many fork so I think this one also come by made by fork.

Their website and wallet is well done. i received some coins from the airdrop, and haven't been keeping track of BTW until now.  Today they are worth about $0.27 each, not bad.  If the devs continue to work hard, maybe we can see $5 soon :)

Also have about 1500 BTW coins, got it for participating in airdrop, lol. I participated just in 3 waves + final tasks.
BTW is not a fork of BTC and that is good because there are too many shit forks of btc for last time  :)

Those thoughts had been discussed in this thread: Bitcoin White The next 100x coin (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2806426.msg28721353#msg28721353) Somebody claimed it to be the next Bitcoin.

This needs to stop, the sub-naming of famous coins for insta-fame.
Bitcoin White, Bitcoin Black, Bitcoin Asian, whatever it is, lame naming tactics always sound stupid and scammy.

They can at any time make rebranding and get rid of the word "bitcoin". And so I really like the coin. It is necessary to wait for listing on a good exchange and the price will fly.

I am not touching this unless it is free airdrop, for speculative purpose short term, good one could make decent profit but long term prospect of these , I don't see it make huge leap in the space, so many Bitcoin clones and I don't see anything that suggest this won't just follow the crowd

I sold it when X2. But according to me you should keep to the middle or late 2018. I guess the price will be from $ 2-5

Some of the coins are using bitcoin as a name, because as you can see bitcoin is the number one of all cryptos, then if you use its name for another coin it will be more attractive. But not because the term bitcoin is being used for another it will be just like bitcoin. It is still depends upon to the team, and much better to read first all the information about that like its white paper and etc.

Looks like a scam to me.

Could you please share your opinion why it looks like a scam for you? Saying a project like a scam should have a solid reason, otherwise you are just speculating based on your own feeling. I'm not their shill, but I do trade BTW since the first day of it getting listed at bitflip because I saw a good chance to make profit and I was right. I made some profit with it.

Project idea seems solid, application platform with blockchain tech.

Won't go near anything with "Bitcoin" in it's name as an alt.
Don't mistake a brand new coin being pumped as it having a future.

Could be a good project but I won't give it the time to even read what it's about, if the dev thinks naming it "Bitcoin white" is wise, this sums my view of the team up.

I missed BTW's airdrop period. But the conditions were heavy. I've studied it a little bit. I have remained a beautiful project in my mind. Let's see where in the future.

I don't think this is true, if we go by that logic we can slap the btc ticker on any coin and it would have instant value.

Agree with preshpr1nce here. The upcoming BTC & ZClassic hardfork for Bitcoin Private is a much better move in my opinion. The name says it all Bitcoin Private, a privacy oriented altcoin similar to Bitcoin without premine.

What's worrying me more than the weird naming is the fact that the whole Bitcoin White team wants to stay incognito.

Why are there so many other forms of Bitcoin? What's the point of it all? Are they still in one form and associated with the original Bitcoin? Or are they stand-alone cryptocurrencies unrelated to the original Bitcoin? Can someone explain it to me? I heard there's BitcoinCash, then there's BitcoinGold, and now there's BitcoinWhite. Hmm, I think it's pretty confusing, you know. I think if someone wants to create a new crypto, we should just use a unique and popular name so not confusing like this, hahaha. However, I hope the coin with a unique name can become popular so that the crypto world becomes more colorful and boring. So people can have fun with crypto and not pursue profit only.
