Title: MyEtherWallet Capacity
Post by: fempat on February 09, 2018, 12:28:10 AM
Hello everyone, I have some coins in my wallet (about 50 of them that are shitcoins) and I do not have enough gas to move them out of the wallet. Whereas, I've used the wallet address to register on bounty programs. Is there a maximum number of tokens MyEtherWallet can hold?

No, there is not a limit to a maximum amount of tokens. I have been sitting here with millions of Wednesday Coin and MEW runs no issue.

Any number of token you can hold in MEW. Send some Ether to your wallet.

I think you are asking how many different tokens you can have in your MEW at once, not how many of each token...but the short answer to both questions is "an unlimited amount".

Which is one of the reasons why MEW doesn't keep your tokens 'listed' anymore.  Now you have to load the balance to see it instead of it showing up automatically.

Op questions are a little confusing, but you are right and probably the intent of Op is the maximum number of alts that can be stored in the MEW? there is no limit in the MEW and the Op is free to store various alt in one MEW account.

Myetherwallet is no different than any other wallet, it's an interface. You just happen to use this one online through your browser.
You can hold as much tokens as you want.

Rest, bro, you can deposit into your wallet with countless tokens and quantities, just as you deposit countless money in your bank card, as long as you have.
However, when you try to withdraw the token you need pay some eth gas, tx fee of eth is very low.

Did anybody else's token balance dip to zero at some point over the last few hours?

Ethplorer is showing a reverse pyramid on my graph but no transactions have been made.

my advice is. you should redeem some existing coins with ETH as needed for fees or fees in token transfers. After that you can send your token to any wallet that supports the token.

If they are shitcoins don't bother about the gas and change your wallet address for your bounty. Why keep on bothering for the tokens you declared as shit. But on myetherwallet there is no limit on how may kinds of altcoins you store.
