Title: Painless bypass of anti-virus false-positives for miners Post by: mcgreed on September 09, 2013, 04:07:05 AM Whereas many miner programs have been abused by being delivered as payloads via trojan viruses etc., some anti-virus companies have (lazily!) marked them as dangerous or potentially unwanted, etc.
I've found what seem to be two effective, painless fixes for this problem, which I would rather not allow abusers to know about. At the same time, I *do* want anyone of goodwill to know about these fixes. Whether these fixes would always work I can't guarantee--but they've worked for me, and saved me the trouble of setting anti-virus exceptions on the computers I can run miners on. Anyone who would like to know these fixes is welcome to PM me and try to persuade me that they will use the knowledge legitimately. That and more; or, this program can be one way to do that: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=265232 And: whoops! Sorry for the very tardy reply. |
