They can make as much Bitcoin forks as they want. No matter how much people complain on the number of forks there are, it does help the transaction count expand.

Seems like now even kids are making bitcoin forks. This is probably the worst name.

This one actually forked in Mid January ... it's been around for a while.  They just launched their "mainnet", so I wonder that means.  Premining the whole time?

Anyway, It really makes no sense to Fork BCC because BCC isn't really facing the adversity that Bitcoin faces (high fees, slow verifications, etc.) ...

I sort of the get the BTC forks, because people want to say their ideas can "fix" Bitcoin ... but what needed to be fixed with BCC?

The point is to make it resistant to quantum attacks.

Anyone can fork Bitcoins, Ethereum, Litecoin, BCH, as long as he wants.
These things happened before, they did not start now, but more and more big consortia are now doing so and it is easy to attract the attention of people.
However, I firmly believe that all the fork coins are not worth to invest.

Bitcoin Candy were given 1:1000.
That means if you had 1 BCH then you have now 1000 CDY and a total value of $150.
It's available now. Not sure how to get it at this point. I suppose you have to wait for a wallet release if you were storing BCH in your own wallet. Be very careful with that as people have used these wallets as ways to steal private keys in the past like with Bitcoin Gold. I have some Bitcoin Candy because I transferred some BCH over to coinex before the fork.

CDY (while being a stupid name), has faster blocks and an interesting Equihash PoW mining: almost anyone could mine this - unlike BTC, and BCH.
In short, it's interesting, you shouldn't neglect their value and approach.
As a side note, I just read that CDY has ViaBTC and Coinex founder in its team. This is very impressing, knowing Coinex is the first and only marketplace based on BCH, and with 0% withdrawal fee. ZERO percent (not even any mining fee).
In short, for now, I wouldn't call this shitcoin.

Just another shit project.

Nothing to see here apart from people being greedy and trying to capitalize off the name of a bitcoin fork. When in fact they just want to make their money off this, and feel good about themselves. That's all there is to this.

The name of the fork is probably enough to indicate their level of maturity and how much effort was put into this project. Which is almost none.

I'm not surprised at this kind of projects. Because that I believe that they are created only for one. To earn money. Developers only do what they stamp such projects. I do not like it at all, it turns out that they just steal the idea and code, despite the fact that it is certainly open to everyone.

From January 13th, CoinEx will not support CDY deposit and withdrawal until CDY chain is stabilized and all supporting services e.g. wallet are available. More about the CDY coin:
Name                               Bitcoin Candy (CDY)
Hardfork height                 512666(Bitcoin Cash)
Estimated hardfork time         2018/01/13
PoW algorithm                 EQUIHASH(GPU)
Supply                         21 billion
Distribution ratio                 1:1000
pre-mine                         Yes, 1% of supply will be pre-mined
Block interval                 2 minites
Replay protection                 Yes
Block size                         8M
Segwit                         No
Difficulty adjustment         DAA

It is easy to make a fork and new coin. Is it good or not for
crypto-markets I can not say, who can? Why they do not work
together on one chain, why they complicating already complicated
things?

Lol, what a name for a project like this. I don't think they understand the meaning of candy. I'm guessing they meant to call it something like bitcoin quandy which would have made a bit more sense and sound a lot more catchy! Oh well, there is a name for anyone who wants to make a new fork - send me a few coins if you make one :D

All i can say is,it is just like what BCH a shitty coin which wont have any future or use in our community surely this coin would be non sense too.Roger Ver seems to gave up already when he and his team failed simultenously of trying to ovethrow the original bitcoin using their Bitcoin cash or Bcash. But a forked coin from a shitty coin?that would make no difference.

I read about this fork but as for me it is nothing particularly new in it, therefore it is not worth much attention, much less investing..

Why its like you so surprise about it ? i mean there hundred of bitcoin fork. and only some of them really worth. Just take your free coin and sell it no need to buy it more. Just because it have "bitcoin" in his  name doesnt mean its bitcoin.

I just read about this project, the team looks great but unfortunately it is the fork of Bitcoin Cash so it's worse than BCH which is bad enough because they want to make people believe that they are the real Bitcoin. Their slogan is also "Help Bitcoin (Cash) Great Again", so it's a big no for me, I think this project is not very promising because they are nothing unique.

The big mistake crypto community is doing , is the given support for such nonsense projects ( named forks ) which do decrease the crypto effectiveness.
When I see such forks ( that do not add anything valuable ) I wish there would be a kind of control over'em

LoL, these dev geeks should be retired early because they're now creating another Joke coin that will lead people into confusions and worse, scams and frauds.
There are so much projects that would be useful that needs attention and development but supporting this kind of coin is indeed a baddest idea and I wold no longer treat this as a Big Joke since other devs are creating Forks out of Bitcoin Core.

Now there are more than 25 forks of Bitcoin. Tell me who is really is interested in them. As for me it's garbage

It is not necessary  even time to spend on these forks, recently Bitcoin loses all positions, soon it will leave from the first place

I didn't hear about Bitcoin Candy before and I thought first on a fake fork as I read their name. But they address a problem that should not be underestimated.
"Among the many questions about bitcoin, the rapid development of quantum computers is like a dark cloud far away from the horizon, which seems distant but disturbing."
In "About" on https://cdy.one/index_EN.html#home
Interesting would be, if they really have a solution.
