Title: is Cryptopia still valid now that only BTC to altcoins trades?
Post by: ThinkAndGrowRich on February 09, 2018, 01:55:07 PM
Hello
Altcoins trading to LTC and DOGE are not available anymore.
So I wonder if there are still lots of people using Cryptopia?
I haven't touched my altcoins on Cryptopia and have noticed their value in BTC has dropped.

Is it because people are putting more money in BTC and/or are trading these lesser known altcoins to BTC which probably means that these altcoins will rise again later.
Or because less people are trading on Cryptopia (since there is no more LTC/DOGE trading) and so some of these altcoins drop in value as most of their volume was on Cryptopia or maybe they were even only listed on Cryptopia ?

Basically I want to know if I can stay on Cryptopia with these altcoins in my portfolio.

There still a lot of people use it though. I mean they really have some coin that non exist at another exchanger.

I think the market will survive without LTC and DOGE markets. :)

Yeah, I was pretty dissapointed with this.  I loved trading in Doge.
The volume was low but the prices were usually favorable.

Lately, I've started to migrate away from the old exchanges that deal in fiat.
The almost all universally have insanely high fees.
For cryptopia, I've always had to convert everything to ltc or doge to withdraw to avoid the crazy fees of withdrawing btc.

now, exchanges like binance and kucoin are simply just better in every way.
More volume, less fees, better coins, interesting trading pairs.

However, I will always have a soft spot for cryptopia because where else can I get Nyancoin or Tittiecoin so easily?

The problem is the majority of people are liquidating their money into the dollar value or it may be more suitable to call them all cash out all of their money due to the big crash of crypto last week.
LTC/DOGE trading pair doesn't give a lot of impact.
As far as i know, cryptopia has very good 24 hours volume trade.

It really is complicated, I would like to analyze a factor, this problem does not occur only in cryptopia but in other exchanges too, the question is? Is Doge a shit coin or does it have great trade swap function? There are many topics mocking the Dogecoin, this function is interesting, it reduces rates, for me Dogecoin is a big currency.

one of the things i liked about cryptopia was the fact that you could trade against other altcoins. it created a lot of nice opportunities ;)

but it is still a good exchange which i plan on using for my trades. that has not changed. and not to mention that they don't have dumb rules such as verification requirements (not yet anyways).

they said they were creating a new platform for these pairs though! it is weird but if you still want to trade these pairs then check the progress of that.

I don't necessarily want to trade these pairs (DOGE, LTC).

I want to know if these lesser known altcoins traded on Cryptopia will go p in value again compared to BTC because now they have dropped.

I am trading on Binance but on cryptopia I have some altcoins with sell orders at 50% or even x2..
