Avalon Generation Two Chips 55nm

Those who have invested in time and money on Avalon Generation One based devices and clones can rejoice in the fact we had the foresight to make Avalon Generation Two chips completely backward compatible in every way with 110nm generation one chips, which can be expect to go on sale Late October 2013 for immediate shipping. Avalon will no longer participate in any kind of pre-ordering.


So let the speculation begin!

And here we thought difficulty was going to skyrocket... Looks like its going to teleport right into space.

That last statement brings a smile to my face.  ;D

Ya didn't they rub it in BFL's face that they shipped the first ASICs, and then they stopped shipping anything for months at a time?

The odd thing to me is all this time Yifu's been having problems getting the "Gen One" chips sent out... he's been having a new generation made?  If these are going to be ready for sale by late October, they had to have been at the foundry back in mid Jun.  Hmmmmm

They better have some seriously low prices. If not, no worries i'm sure plenty of geniuses will ...be parted with their money...

..and turn mining into purely a hobby..
