Title: New mobile phone -> How to import Google authenticator details?
Post by: Herbert on September 10, 2013, 08:04:58 PM
So few days ago my Galaxy S2 broke. It still starts up, but only with power attached. I do have a full backup on SD-Card created with Titanium backup (Pro).
My new phone should arrive tomorrow and I am unsure what I need to do with the Google Authenticator settings. I assume if I just install Titanium Backup on the new phone and restore the backup eveything will work again. But I would like not to do a full restore, instead I would prefer to start with a clean phone - I really only care about the 2-factor-auth settings.
So the bottomline is:
  • Can I use Titanium Backup to just restore the Google Authenticator app?
  • Will it include all configured accounts?

In the meantime I found http://cadince.com/3-ways-to-move-google-authenticator/ and successfully retrieved all keys using adb :)
