Title: Cold storage problems Post by: gravitate on September 11, 2013, 07:10:21 AM I am making some cold storage litecoin and bitcoin wallets. However I only have 70 digits I can type. With a litcoin wallet this is no good as I have 85 digits. I have tried on the litecoin block explorer to enter the first 8 digits as you can on the bitcoin one to veryfy the balance but it didn't work.
Is there anyway round this? I know for bitcoin I can just record the first 8 digits but what about the litecoin? Is ther a way to generate a miniy private key? If so how do I do this? Thanks Title: Re: Cold storage problems Post by: gravitate on September 11, 2013, 03:04:02 PM No ideas?

You would get a useful response if you said what you are attempting to do and what non-bitcoin-qt software you are using to create a "wallet".
