Hi guys,
Anyone face any issues with etherdelta ? Still safe to trade using etherdelta ? Why the volume are zero? And my Blockfolio no updates at all. Or etherdelta doing some upgrades?
 

Same here. And the tweets showing at the bottom of the site is kinda weird. Hope the hacking incident isnt happening again.

We dont have any choice but to use etherdelta,it is the only way to trade the erc20 based tokens to ethereum or bitcoin or to whatever coin you prefered.I know it is a very trashy exchange now because of the hack incident people lose their trust to this exchange.Lets hope that somewhere someone will create a new decentralized exchange for the erc20 tokens for us to forget this trashy and unsafe etherdelta.

Nothing much different, i can still trade there, i can buy and sell token normaly. Only that twitter and some volume not showing up. I hope there no another break happend again, i mean like got hack or smt.

Hi! Unforunatly, there is no any choice to trade ERC20 tokens. That's why you should continue to use it. As I know the convinience of etherdelta has always been at a high level. Last time developers of the site make some security updates so that the incident does not happen again.

I haven't been trading in EtherDelta for a long time, so I didn't notice this until now.
I still have some tokens in EtherDelta, maybe it is time to withdraw all of them.

Sometimes it's safe to trade in etherdelta because it's  good and fixed it's security but doubt is still there. There are so many issues that etherdelta is broken now so maybe you should find a better exchange than this. There are many exchanges that will help you to gain huge profit. ED has ended it's legacy for being the most popular exchange.

If it was built by humans it can be broken by humans. I'm not sure why the volume is showing its down, it might be a simple error because its running fine for me at the moment.

After hacked he still working slow but anyway I didn't use etherdelta after hacked.

what do you mean thats the only war?theres other exchange that you can use aside from etherdelta,you can check HIBTC or LIQUI for other option.etherdelt sucks this week i cant make any transactions.waiting for more than 10hrs but yet nothing happen,thats why i use another exchange

I am placing my bets on AirSwap (AST) as an DEX. But it is still under heavy development atm.

I hope this is no longer the case because etherdelta is very important.
The large number of hacker attacks on the crypto currency exchange platform is possible not only because of the rising and seductive bitcoin, but also the increasingly high demand for crypto currency. It certainly also drags some big names in terms of the crypto currency exchange platform.

There is also fork of etherdelta maybe if you don't trust in etherdelta you can use the forked one  :) But even thought it is decentralized exchange, it does not give me trust.

Some minor hack attacks managed to jeopardize reputation of this exchange. Invest are reduced to minimum. Hope they will got back on their feet.
Good sign that there is now ForkDelta ,so safely try there.

Etherdelta was once a good decentralized exchange,but after the hack inciddent most of the people who are using it in the past lose their trust,especially when they lose millions of dollars,we cannot be sure when will another hack would happpen.I know ED looks mor scammy than before,i dont blame people why they lose their trust to this exchange,because security is the most important thing in any exchange.

I just traded in etherdelta and pulled back my eth. I think etherdelta is normal and I have no problem there.
If there is no volume in the blockfolio, there may not be a transaction in etherdelta.

I have successfully transferred my ETH from withdraw tab to my wallet. and I do made a successful transaction with monero gold
I think it is safe but be make sure . go import your wallets to metamask and if you have valueable coins deposited to delta go withdraw it all.
it better safe than sorry.

Since the day that etherdelta got hacked. I have never set foot to that exchange. I find that site very creepy. And right now with that issue. My fear for that exchange is growing bigger and bigger

As for me, so it's even a normal stock exchange. All of course frightens that you need to enter the private key. I do not often use exchanges, only when I need to drop a token. I have enough.

I also no idea about etherdelta, I saw the news saying that someone had bought over etherdelta. And they also done their ico names etherdelta token (EDT). I have no idea what they doing, and how the decentralised exchange doing. Decentralised exchange means that no one are owning the exchange and peer to peer trade between seller and buyers. Am I wrong ?

That looks indeed weird for me. All of etherdelta's tweet already erased by someone or the team and then a nonsense tweet just appear right now.


That looks possible if etherdelta gets another hacking case or the developer is turning to the scammer right now.

But this needs the more evidence to prove it.

yesterday for about an hour the official @etherdelta tweeted the old send 0.2 eth to this addrs for 2 in return. ...... i didnt think to screenshot at the time. something fishy going on
 

I am actually back to trading on it,  when the price and congestion of ethereum was high it was almost improssible to place a succesful trade but now that things have returned to normal it easy to trade on delta again

I think etherdelta is just a simple trading platform with no real security behind. They have issues every month and there are a lot of angry customers with real problems regarding to etherdelta platform.

I try to trade my small amount of token on etherdelta this past days and I dont see any problem with that decentralized exchange site impact the fee are back to normal with a fast transaction but the problem is some of my token that traded in that site are now have no value (zero volume) hoping trade volume with be increase again.

Once Zack sold Etherdelta it went downhill fast. Anyone use ForkDelta?

Stopped using etherdelta since the hacking incident. I still look at it to compare price but I do not log my accounts anymore. Last time I checked the twitter feeds only show one tweet, which was really weird. That confirmed that I should avoid it altogether. It is a pain to wait for erc20 tokens to get listed in exchange but that is a safer option.

I think etherdelta is not good anymore.
I have not used etherdelta since their site got hacked. I prefer to wait for tokens available on other good exchange.

i dont know what happened on etherdelta but what i know,
etherdelta has many issues indeed.
but still, it function properly to buy and sell.

I've used ED to make a couple of minor trades... move ETH on - made the Trades - moved new Tokens off to my private wallet immediately. 

If something happens to the little bit of ETH I've left there, I won't lose any sleep.  I really don'y like the site itself, but at least you can trade in a Token with it officially being listed, which is what I needed to grab at the time.  Not many other exchanges allow that functionality.

I think Etherdelta is undergoing improvements and developments that make its appearance to be new I also do not know but I still can trade there.

I heard from someone in telegram group that Ethedelta API was broken. That's the main reason we got some error in BLOCKFOLIO, DELTABALACES GITHUB and any others app which connected to Etherdelta site. But I can't find any source or link about that information. I hope etherdelta still safe.

Etherdelta was sold to a new team recently and they are forcing things wrong in my opinion. They did a token sale that raise much less than expected, they are not listing new tokens (officially) unless the company behind buys and stakes a certain amount of ED tokens. Probably they are doing the same with their APIs. There is an alternative - a fork - called Forkdelta (exactly same user interface).

IDEX is growing and will most likely become the next best spot.

Now it's just that it already shown the orders for the second day, which do not exist anymore, does not show the history of transactions on the coin, etc. The good though the balance does not mess and the deposit / widget operates.

I have not seen any updates lately. At the same time lots of ppl lost their tokens last week. Of course after such actions to this exchange there is no greater trust anymore.

Now the network has a lot of fake news about the causes of these problems with the site, one says that this is an upgrade, others that the site is hacked. I did not meet the official statement anywhere so the only one thing is left is to wait..

I dont know what happend, but im using forkdelta atm. same like etherdelta though. Just make sure you use metamask so it will be more secured. Never login directly with your prirvatekey anywhere mate.

Actually after the situation of the invasion, EtherDelta is no longer the same, unfortunately it is better decentralized platform for tokens, I think it is past time to have a new concert, the quality of EtherDelta is still high, but with each passing day it is in decay, I hope developers read this topic.

The current market lacks such desentralized exchanges like EtherDelta. And despite all it's dissadvantages it still has the biggest volume than any other DEX. And it's the only Exchange where you can trade by contract address. I would prefer to use IDEX instead, but its trading volume is very low.

No volume.. and last TX listed on the exchange happened about 4 days ago...  I had some problems with TX being rejected but still takes the TX fee..  No updates from the Dev team.. Twitter has been deleted..  Although the exchange may function for some people.. There are too many red flags for my liking at this time.  The new dev team is also Chinese.. and the Gov just did another big crackdown on foreign exchanges last week...  I'm not trying to spread FUD here.. but it's entirely possible the dev team may have been locked out of the site and/or arrested for running an "illegal" exchange...  China is pretty harsh about enforcing their laws... There is also the possibility the team just took the ICO money and made a run for it...  lets keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best!

Ether delta was my exchanger before. The main limitation in ether delta is you have to put your private key with the address in order to trade, buy and sell. This makes your wallet vurnerable to hackers. I faced that issue before so I decided to change exchanges which has better security feautures. Etherdelta is good but it must improve its features escially the security one.

The ONLY reason why Etherdelta was any good was because every ERC20 coin could be traded there. No applications, no fees, no approval from exchange teams, etc etc.

This wont be difficult for new exchanges to replicate, which will send ED down the tubes even further.

No one knows what happen to etherdelta their twitter was gone and you cant read any update but etherdelta had a fork they valled it forkdelta it is look a like by etherdelta what coin written on etherdleta you will see it also on fork delta, I'm afraid if the etherdelta would close i had a fumds their that I can't widraw but the only thing that I can do is too wait until it has an announcement

As etherdelta work on ethereum smart contact and https://forkdelta.github.io using same smart contact. You can withdraws all your belonging from etherdelta. For safe side use MetaMask for signigns the transactions.

I thing forkdelta.github.io is good for ERC20 token exchange, if you use it with MetaMask. Another alternative is IDEX, but problem with IDEX is that it does not allow small amount exchange. You might get error message like "Due to rising gas costs on the Ethereum network, value of order must be at least 150 USD. Please try making a larger order."

Really don't understand why etherdelta team stop communicating. If you want to exchange your ERC20 token urgently basic check it in coinmarketcap.com if it available in any other market or if not, try forkdelta. As per my understanding etherdelta is gone.

And when was the last hacking of the exchange?
Now neither the API nor the history of trading is working

Etherdelta has been in trouble for several times in less than a year.
I don't think it is wise to trade there now. Get out of it, guys.

I think since the first time often occurs purchases with high price but volume 0, maybe it's a trader who is trying. which I do not like from etherdelta it is a heavy load page.

I think it is not safe to trade on Etherdelta but we have no choice only few exchanger for ERC20 token. If you want to use Etherdelta download metamask extension for pc only to have a safe trading experience. Metamask always check if the site is a phising or not.

let etherdelta rest in peace. its more centralized now after hack and selling to new owner. there is forkdelta but i would recommend idex.

As a newbie in trading i would not use EtherDelta because the interface is too intimidating. I prefer to trade on kucoin it's very easy to trade.

The etherdelta is no longer safe, There are also a series of thefts that happened to me there. Even with my friends I did not recomended it especially to the novice. You might just lose your money when that's where you exchange

I think Etherdelta is just pretty fine and i just visited Etherdelta after i read this topic. The DNS hacking incident before was already resolved, I guess. But i am not using Etherdelta ever since that fiasco happened.

i think its safe now, cause i use it still, even though online means everyting is risky but etherdelta is only the way you can trade all erc20 token.

Use forkdelta, it's the same as old etherdelta except it's not lagging at all so you can use it to trade easily. Just don't forget to check ethgasprice for the suitable gas price to use so you don't overpaid. For the tracking app, use delta as it's way better than blockfolio and it support more exchange, blockfolio doesn't track etherdelta well since a long time ago so when i heard about delta i use it instead.

I am still trading at EtherDelta and I dont have problems. I mean there are just to normal problems that you have on etherdelta. But the Transactions and that stuff is working better like the last 3 months.

With EtherDelta something very strange is happening, I do not even see my orders, because they are updated very, very long, even if I put a very good Gwei, still it's all very slow and part of it is generally outdated

This is getting annoying. Since the change of their CEO, everything about this trading site is stressful.
Include the automatic sending of tokens to their account and also making their own token for their own profit.

Yes, I have the same question but as far as I'm concern ED is working fine. Just a little tips and precautions when trading. For secure transaction you can use metamask for chrome but I don't know if it has the same procedure or fees in making a transaction and if you really need to transact via ED make sure that the website is secured you can see in the url or link that it has https:// this means that the website is secured and not a fake website when you have already traded do not leave your ETH or tokens in the wallet of ED transfer it immediately back to your wallet and you need to log out the account you used in ED. Just a piece of advice this is just my opinion I'm not an expert. Maybe it could help.

I like trading on etherdelta,but sometimes it does has some technical issues, but it can happen with any exchange,even binance was offline a few days ago.So there's no need to worry about it.

It is safe as i know, I used it recently and every thing is OK, it is a little bit slow, and the api do not work.
I think the new owner is working on something new, he talked before about launching Etherdelta2.
There is nothing on their twitter page and that is what I blame them for, the lack of communication especially with the release of Idex which is a serious competitor and many traders already moved their funds from ED to Idex.

It has not been the best exchange to trade, but it is still provide us the most decentralised way to trade, now we hope to idex provides us another alternative to trade. there are tons more DEX should be ready in 2018.  we need these DEX

Etherdelta encounter real issues recently, the volume of trading is zero since few days, and no official updates about this problems in their Twitter account, or reddit. I think it is safer to avoid using it nowadays until this problems get resolved, or receiving clear updates from the ED team.

Sometimes it does take a really long time to update, but it is a good idea to always be careful. If you do get suspicious, then check their social media to be sure as they will alert people on there. Also whilst etherdelta is often the only place to trade obscure tokens, it is generally wise to take the tokens off the exchange once you've finished trading.

I try not to use this exchange. if it is very necessary, then I use a spare purse, so as not to risk the fixed assets

I only work with etherdelta if there is no other option frankly. There are so many precautions that you have to take, plus no error correction fro keying mistakes that is just as risky as base jumping.

EtherDelta is the only Crypto exchange for me because I am holding almost ERC20 of my tokens but I agree that EthereDelta this time sucks and seems the network is slow.
I had transferred some of my tokens in EthereDelta to my MEW wallet but it's fine, it's just that the Blockfolio and my Delta as Crypto Monitoring App isn't updating, if it does - it will just display few days back of trades that seems not reliable anymore.

Etherdelta is safe now to trade or hold erc20 token but last a few days Etherdelta exchanger is under network busy. this server is temporary slow but do not panic because a lots of way to do your work about your crypto assets.

Nothing is happening with etherdelta- it's usual. If anyone knows a platform like etherdelta, please let me know - I would love to see other one.

UI sucks so much, it's slow and painful to use...

I think they are just working on upgrading the exchange, the site by now need to scale up the exchange unless they want to take a back ward seat, people need to trust the exchange they are using if not they would move there token to another platform and that means you miss out on the trading fee

I also feel worried about what's happening around EtherDelta. I also noticed that my coins on blockfolio are not updating prices but we don't have any choice but to use it to trade our erc20 base tokens for ethereum.

idex is fine, but if you want the same as etherdelta, you can use https://forkdelta.github.io/ (https://forkdelta.github.io/)

is a frontend fork community driven, it is the same contract and orderbook so you can find your erc20 tokens there.

remember to use metamask or an hardware wallet, better be safe than sorry.

etherdelta now looks renovated and fast. I have a stock exchange called Idex and I like it very much.they have their own coins. I think their future is bright

Each time I attempt to deposit my tokens, my transaction continuously fail. I've inputted the ideal amount, even much less tokens at times, and nonetheless keep getting the same problem. One of the most complex exchanges I have ever had to cope with.

In Etherdelta I often exchanged tokens, but now ED work very slow, order lists not refresh for hours, I can't send transactions long time and sometimes site showed error.

I have been using this exchange for a long time and they never failed me, I think that you should not have any concerns about this stock exchange. at least I did not notice anything wrong with it!

ive been using idex.market to trade erc20 tokens . Worth a try if you want another option

ED or etherdelta today is really fucked up,the developers seems not really interested to fix the problems with going on with the website,problems started to pop out when etherdelta was hacked using the DNS server which most of the people lose their money.So today ED is really categorized as a shitty scam DEX,so i would recommend you to find another DEX or decentralized exchange for your erc20 tokens.

If you don't trust ED anymore then we can always having a second option which I would agree on using up IDEX instead.
Going back into the days where theyre being hacked then they do totally fucked up but yet they are still operational as of these days on where theres still lots of traders who do engage into that site.If you do try to see volume of trades per daily basis then you will really find out. They might have the flaw but yet they are still capable.

Seems that the real Etherdelta's dev is not working anymore on the site, i just see a twitter message and nothing else since 8th February.. but now i discovered and tried the forked ED.. this is the site: https://forkdelta.github.io
Seems fair and until now it is working well.. also some applications is supporting this new fork. Obviously don't put you main private key on it, but create a new wallet or just use your ledger/metamask. Better safe than sorry.

I have not been able to trade on this exchange for several days. It seems to me that it is already morally outdated and the crypto community has long needed a new decentralized exchange.

Whenever your using sites that your uncertain of, just drop your transactions down to amounts your willing to risk losing. Instead of blamming $500 in knock it down to $50 and see how it goes. Then as you build confidence maybe increase to $100. Yeah you'll pay more transaction fees but is it worth risking losing big bucks for the sake of 10-20 dollars?

EtherDelta is still working, yes it has lots of issues with response time and some sell orders not being updated and remaining in order book, but theres not many alternatives. IDEX is probably closest but the flexibility is just not there.

Last tweet they had was that "We are continuing to work on a resolution for the ongoing API issues. We apologize for the service interruption and appreciate your continued patience."
Im assuming they are on break too for the new years and we just gotta be patient

I think there is an issue about API which EtherDelta is trying to resolve since on the 15th of this month, the news came to us through Twitter. I believe with much confidence they will surmount the problem and continue business with vigor.

Even it is working fine still there are many issues in this exchange. A lot of issues since my friend got lose his eth during trading in etherdelta I stop using this exchange. Besides there are other exchange that we can trade with that has no issues at all.

I agree to you dude recently etherdelta faced some major problem that they need to fixed honestly I dont like this decentralized exchange site the platform and design are not good but we have no chooce because a lot of erc token based are listed in this site.

One should admit that etherdelta is working awfully sometimes. I would call this version of decentralised ETH exchange "pre-alpha". Tons of wasted gas, double spent transactions, lagging like hell... Sometimes you should just forget about this site and wait for some other adequate exchanges to buy or sell some new tokens. Etherdelta now is for those who have steel nerves :)

Try idex.market it seems to load faster

Well they still have the same update on their twitter, where they claim they are trying to solve some issues with their API. They don't offer any details, and just say they appreciate our patience. As far as I know, you can still deposit and withdraw any funds from the exchange (either tokens or ethereum), but you can't really sell or buy anything. So I don't think they are trying to scam anyone, and are probably just solving some problems.

I have switched to https://forkdelta.github.io/  that  rans the same GUI. Everything  is moving faster compared to etherdelta. My sense is I will stay there forever

what's the point of complaining, this exchange is not good, it hangs and other problems, use Bitrex and polonex and that's it.

Yeah guys, in case you haven't noticed, complaining on these threads don't do anything to solve the problems of any exchange, much less EtherDelta. Let's all move to Waves dex, why don't we? I'll be so happy if we even get to test THAT platform's supposed hundreds of txs capability per second. We should learn by now to 1, move to decentralized exchanges and 2, move to one where the platform CAN handle hundreds if not thousands per seconds. Yes, I realize I'm shilling Waves in a way, but we've to start thinking a bit far ahead when it comes to crypto. Ethereum network is simply not built to cope with the current demand.

I dont know what happen with etherdelta right now it has zero volume in my token in this past week. Some people say it faced some major problem after the hacking happen in december 2017 we have no choice but we need this decentralized exchange site almost my erc token are listed in this site hoping the Owner will improve the platform of etherdelta.

Well guys, you are missing a very important point... Tokens on Etherdelta are not on Bittrex neither on Waves DEX ahah
People trade on etherdelta cause there are many new gems/coins to discover that are not on major exchangers yet.. people don't trade on etherdelta just cause they like it :D

As I am  writing, I have been trying to make a purchase in ED for a few days and it has been impossible. It is very unreliable at all leves, so I just go there as a last resource.

Oh well, we really cannot do sht about what's happening in the said exchange etherdelta. It is just completely hopeless. It sure was a great tool back then, I myself was a regular user of the said exchange. But ever since all the issues about it came up one after another, I really lost interest. And considering all the horror stories from various people that used their services, I really won't be using it anymore. Would rather wait for my favorite tokens to be on different exchanges no matter how long rather than risk it on etherdelta. just saying.

etherdelata hacked last month, they provide some tokens to compensate their damage, but this issue cause they work on their scripts and so their site is not show some parameter like Volum, so clients leave this site until ending the fix process.

You better stay away from etherdelta and choose the other exchange, there was a problem there. Beware not to put to much coin in one exchanger, we don't even know when they will be hacked or scam.
