Title: Trading question
Post by: mikis on September 12, 2013, 12:35:28 PM
Hi, i've a little ammount of BTC and i'm getting into trading (with theory basis covered and aware of risk).

My main doubt is what happens when i sell them, do i get credited on my account (btc-e, bitstamp, mtgox) and with that credit i can buy back without using a bank account, right?

that said, i hope i can't start posting in other forums soon  :)

Yeah, that is right. When you sell BTC you will get fiat (USD, EUR..) on the exchange. From there you can withdraw the money to your bank, or other accounts. If you don't want to convert to fiat you can also withdraw BTC directly.

What do you mean "other accounts"? From my understanding, you cant do a fiat withdrawal from one exchange directly in to your account in another exchange, although it may have been possible but frowned upon by the AML peeps.

And yes, you can just "buy low, sell high" from a single account on a single exchange over and over again so long as your margins are > fees.

He means can he sell his BTC for fiat and withdraw to his bank account. The answer is yes.

mkbit88 got it right, my amount is limited and i'm just testing around various sides of BTC, in this case how easy pure speculation is.
Not looking for profit right now, wouldn't hurt but i'm only interested in trying out once the old buy and sell method.
I'm writing my bachelor's thesis on aspects of this currency and i want to make sure i'm getting "my hands dirty" in it to get everything right.

Oh, seems price is going up...
