In this time of Fear Uncertainty and Doubt it is sometimes good to look back at what has gone before.
We should learn from other threads from late 2016, through to the latter half of 2017.
There were so many threads asking if it was the right time to buy Bitcoin because the price was rising but some people still doubted it would last.

So here are a few older threads which could be interesting and helpful for these current times and to learn to BUY NOW and have no regrets.

Yes. The market of crypto-currency is very cyclical and when there are falling and market growth, we can even watch the release of the same news, which several months. It is not necessary to succumb to panic, earning on crypto-currencies and investing in them.

Hmmm i suppose there would be a certain amount of repetition in the markets and reactions to its movement.
I wonder if anyone in the past did any other analysis into this?
At a time of a bitcoin price dip was there a reason, and what was the reaction?
I think we all know the reaction from people in general and the price rise that followed the dip.

Yes, I don't think the price of bitcoin will go down any more. It will continue to rise, and now is a good time to buy.

I think that sometimes we really have to hold ba k and looking back there really been a lot of tribulations and oprressings on the cryptocurrency but I still know and looking forward to more years with how we can handle and immerse ourselves into the conversation for cryptocurrency because of how it goes in our minds and the results would still be handed to us

I always like these posts that look at old threads from the history and see what people are saying about prices. I don't care about whether they were right or wrong but it is pretty interesting to see the mindset at that point and hopefully if you were around at those dates you can see what kind of mindset you yourself had and if it was right or wrong. it can give you some good experience too.

which is basically kwukduck saying bitcoin is dead and will fall from $7.5 to $0.7

This is a fairly comparable table. But I do not think it will happen in 2018. I do not believe in miracles. But the price of bitcoin will still be over $ 7000 in 2018.
I need more practical evidence of this similarity. The investment in bitcoin is a very difficult decision for me and I need more data. Anyway thank you very much for the data sheet.

Its funny alright, some things dont really change.

Here is a quote from one of the example threads,
it is almost similar to what some people are thinking now,
will I buy now or wait for an extra fall?
will I buy now before it goes up?

If only we could go back 6 years $6.50 per bitcoin...
we would buy at the $7.XX price without comment or hesitation.

This always feels like it's too late, but until now, bitcoin has been every time cheap when we though he was too late  :D

Interesting chronography of posts. I'm still amused the statements of goldman sachs every year the same: bitcoin is a soap bubble, bitcoin will collapse, etc. And he keeps on growing and growing. The market is cyclical, if the market of cryptocurrency will develop, then we will see new high.

Good points to be honest, its so important to take a step out of the immediate firing line and look back at it all with perspective. If at any of those dates you said BTC will be worth what it is now you'd gladly accept.

sometimes it's a disturbing thing, when there are also people who panic to immediately sell it. The main focus is on ourselves to stay calm and cool. We also have to address any information or news about crypto that is circulating in the community.

People that do not have guts are just panicking and not seeing the good sides of Bitcoin. Well, it will not be our fault if the tides turn on their side.

Just when you think it's over ... suddenly it pumps back again and that's too harder than ever before .. even I think that this low value won't come afterwards for a very long time ..
People can literally be millionaires if one used this opportunity in a better way.
And one needs to know that Bitcoins won't die because this kind of situation have arrised more than 150 times but they are still standing strong!!
So one shouldn't doubt and be patient.

Regretting what we did in the past will not help us to evolve or to develop ourselves, nothing will happen if we are always going to look back and discourage ourselves that everything is too late, that is not true. Many people are asking if it is too late to buy bitcoin since the price is too high for them to buy something like that, well let me say this, the time when you could say that it is too late is when there is no bitcoin anymore, but there is still bitcoin, so it is not too late to invest or do bitcoin.

Bitcoin is likely a cry and smile games of traders ? Somes didn't belive in it already cried in the last 2 months but i'm seeing all of them are smiling and mocking us about how potiental and perfect Bitcoin is.

Good article to motivate us members but below 5,400$ is pretty reachable as we did reached 5,900$ last week and I don't think it is the lowest that Bitcoin can get this February. Since we are not breaking the current down trend yet the chances of re-visiting other price points are high and I don't think it is a bad thing because it is our chance to accumulate more Bitcoin by shorting it. Majority of the traders are also bearish on it as they have the same conclusion that the long term chart so no signs of reversals.

I think $10k can reasonably be considered the new floor as soon as the exchange rate crosses it again. If, in the future, you want to consider that you bought in cheap, any time now is a good time to buy. You’ve been warned.

This is just the beginning of the crypto currency, and bitcoin has not yet collapsed and everyone is already dropping their hands

If we break the resistance at 9,5K then 10K and beyond is achievable. I'm sure in case it breaks through it will become a strong support since its a physiological level. Well, I'm sure the current rate is still good enough rate to buy Bitcoin, since Bitcoin already get a lot of attention lately.

history is always important ,what happens in the past does in fact determine the future as it will provide insight into behavior. It is by looking back that we are able to collect and then analyze data so we can come to a "scientific" conclusion. the past offers insight into how the market will behave in response to specific changes in and outside the market place and is therefore extremely important especially in investment circles as it will give a good indication as when to buy, sell or hold your investment.

Yeah those analysis were done before. But they're useless.
The fact is that bitcoin charts are opened to anyone so anyone trading a significant amount of money will study them.
So everyone will have the same data and discover the same big paterns.

For example price moved up historically on black friday. Well last year was one of the smallest evolution, simply because everyone was waiting for it.

We can't blame ourselves on what happened on the past events on bitcoin. We should be more speculative next time in dealing with bitcoin since no one can really tell the exact price of bitcoin from day to day. That is why we do research to have a greater chance to have a correct prediction. Those doubts did by many people are certainly not doing research that's why they regret it. If we really want to change our life through bitcoin then we need to effort.

I remember time when BTC for 700-800$ was very expensive :) So BTC can't be expensive - in 1-2 years its price will be higher

I believe no one is blaming anyone here, OP just stated some inspirational thread that were created during its dip, and how people missed out on Bitcoin.  I can see the point there, just hodl our Bitcoin since Bitcoin has capability to bounce back and break its ATH again and again.  Though I agree, when we invest let us do a thorough research about the one we are planning to invest with.  Do not buy because of hype, buy because you understand the market.

I perfectly agree with you. Price falls are normal in cryptocurrencies; so we shouldn't be prophets of doom by saying Bitcoin will die. Bitcoin has given financial freedom to many with few years of investment; and all we need now is patience because bitcoin would rise again

I also agree with both of you. It is normal if the price up and down in cryptocurrencies. It is necessary to look back so we will believe that this case will be happen repeatedly. Bitcoin depends on people's demand and believe. It does not have to be panic at all.

yes they are pointless in terms on analytics as the financial saying states:
"past performance is not a guarantee of future expectations"

The analysis was primarily to highlight the fact that people have asked in the past on numerous occasions should they buy bitcoin,
and its interesting to read the follow on posts. There are questions even this week asking if it is a good time to buy,
sometimes I think that some people dont believe in what the future may hold for crypto according to we who think positively.
