Title: Etherdelta : Zero Volume
Post by: aervin11 on February 12, 2018, 05:52:15 PM
Is it just me or many of you also noticed the Zero trading volume for Etherdelta?

There are no NEWS about them getting hacked again but why did would post this kind of tweet? Weird
https://twitter.com/EtherDelta/status/962399334493954048

What happened to the crowdsale?

Is it still safe for me to recover my balance on Etherdelta?

Any thoughts about this?

Well, maybe someone from their team is on drugs right now and posting thise things on twitter.
Many users are experiencing this issue with Etherdelta for the last week. It doesn't seem like a hack but if you want to keep your funds in a better safe I would recommend not to enter your ED account during any suspicious problems and not transfer anything. Etherdelta is decentralized so no one will have access directly to your funds untill you try to enter your account (if the exchange is realy hacked).

Better to wait for their update and maybe they are just fixing and updating the site..
I heard a lots of issue about that site that is why i ever use their trading site i'm ok with binance and bancor as of now.. i still never heard any major issue the same what happen in etherdelta..
About their tweet its look like they are joking or they are planning to tell that the site was hack and run customers funds..
If the volume still not exist if you have any chance that you can get your balance there better to do it now.  before the site gone down..

In my opinion someone hacked their twitter account and he is trolling the community . You shouldn't be worry about this . The exchange is still working and is one of the best option to exchange altcoins with ethereum . By the way your funds are safe 100% since the exchange is one descentralized not one centralized :)

Not just you, I noticed the same when I wanted to pick up a coin the other day and I left it alone. I would wait a few days or at the minimum until ED officially announces they are okay before heading back there.

Any news on this. I normally use metamask so I didn't had any problems with the last hack. I also don't have anything in the exchange right now, but I was considering selling some tokens I received recently. I looked into the site and they seem normal to me, so do you think it's safe to make the sell?
Have anyone used them today? For me they are still the best option to sell tokens, since many of these tokens never get listed on exchanges, so I hope everything goes well.

I have been using Etherdelta today.
Depositing and withdrawing both went without issues.

Could also make trades.
Only the trade book doesn't update.

Better wait for an update from etherdelta.. they've been having problems for few days now and probably continue to have. i'm thinking of moving to idex, it has better UI, but it isn't as popular as ED. also there's liquidity problem on idex, if people moved there, we might get it going.

I believe as long as you use Metamask to access Etherdelta, your private keys and tokens are completely safe. On the other hand, the people behind Etherdelta need to stand up to their responsibility. There's too much negative press going on for EtherDelta, first it was the hacking of etherdelta and now this tweet. Something positive needs to be done soon!

It is safe, i think that they have a bug in the ui

Too many problems that occur Trading in ED, UI is very heavy and gass is very expensive.
But the coins always seem to be listed there, there must be a more reliable ED exchange. IDEX maybe his successor, I just expect that.

I'm fed up with EtherDelta. It was one of the best place where trading altcoins with Ethereum, especially those received from airdrops or bounty and no traded in any other "secure" exchange. It has never worked very well honestly, but it was sufficient for operating.

Currently, trade volume and order book are not working at all, but the most worrying aspect is the complete absence of any news or statement by the dev, regarding the situation. I mean, we all have founds there and would be nice a feedback just to let us know what's going on.

Fortunately withdrawals continue to work.

The volume there is inactive this past days so obviously the trade was disable. But for deposits and withdrawals it's fine. Just to minimize the risks, I just withdraw some of my assets there out from the Etherdelta balance. You should think of doing it too.

Their official Twitter account got wrecked and haven't heard of any news or even just a glimpse of update from the concerned person behind Etherdelta.

What really happened? To be continued....

You can do withdrawals and I just did now and runs smoothly. If you are worried, as suggested, better withdraw your tokens there. We can't do either buying and  selling of tokens so there is really something going on. On the positive note, I hope that they are halting trades for good purposes like improving their site because it's laggy as hell as always.

Im surprised also that their Twitter account turned into a crazy account lol.

So many issues on Etherdelta these days I trade on this exchange problem always exists. You better withdraw your token because most got hacked their token and withdrawals problems. Always keep safe your coins before it will lose.

Ever since that hacked happen (last month i think) there's a lot of issue going on with etherdelta, even in blockfolio you won't see any price changes and trading volume in etherdelta there. I love trading in ED before because most of dump prices happens there after ICO release their tokens.

I usually like etherdelta because it is easier for me to trade with the ethereum token but this inconvenience, that does not show the balance is very inappropriate at this moment, I hope it is solved and returns to normal and clear, since it is a decentralized exchange and all insurance.

This is my question, many times I ask but nobody gives me an answer, it's been a week of this mess going but no news from ed party. But last night I tried to wd and that was success. But it didn't work when to sell token. When I click on one of them it just "tells me that this has been done by someone else and we have not updated yet" but I am waiting until now, it"s not yet update.

I was actually going to try them but got stopped by the gas fees. I usually pay 80cent for a transaction on etherdelta (either trades or deposits/withdrawals) but when I was trying IDEX I would have to pay 10x more for a deposit (40k gas around $8), and I read in their faq that the average fee for a trade was 140k gas so I didn't even tried it.

What fees on average are you guys paying there? I though about adjusting the price, since I use metamask, but I was afraid that it wouldn't work, since they ask in the faq for users not to change fees (and from what I understood we can't even change trade fees related to the transactions).

Yes, they didn't anything about them what happened to EtherDelta, Yes when compared to other exchanges Etherdelta is taking less fee in terms of the transaction. Maybe they are facing some issues ETH blockchain and their transaction delays happening in the ETH blockchain.

I think this is just a story that might want to give a negative response to etherdelta, I've done a coin exchange in etherdelta and there's no problem with my assets, but if you want to wait for news from etherdelta better

I am not using Etherdelta since the incident and do not expect to use it again soon. Hope that IDEX will have enough liquidity in months to come.
