Title: Bittrex - High Withdrawal fees
Post by: Grukk on February 12, 2018, 11:00:07 PM
My strategy is to hold small amounts of large number of coins. I bought some on Bittrex. Is it normal, that withdrawal fee is 2-10$? I'm quite shocked. For example withdrawal fee for Monero is 0.04. Thats 10$ at current price. TenX has fee 2 coins witch is 4$.

What is your experience with exchanges and withdrawal fee? Is there better option for small amount purchase?

Thanks

Use those are having small cheap transaction fees just like DAG coin or even dogecoin. if you are using monero or tenx because that worth a lot right now and the fees look pretty high due to a huge increase in its price and then it looks normal in my opinion.

If you are wanna avoiding such big fees and then try to use a fast and cheap coin.

That becomes the best thing this time.

I use Litecoin for transactions between exchanges. I wanted to send those coins to wallet. Bought 0.1 Monero when price was more then 400$ so I already lost 40% of value. Really dont want to lose 20% of coins because of transaction fee.

Same with SUB on binance. I have 23 coins stuck there, cos withdrawal fee is 13.

Yes that are normal transaction fees. Many exchanges have much higher. HitBTC is famous b also taxing you deposits. And withdrawal fees can be even $50.   Exchanges are just trying to make profit. That is what they do.

like everyone said, use doge or litecoin, for future trades try cryptopia, i had very good luck with them, and fees have always been very low.

No thats not exactly normal, it might have to do with its price (even though they had plenty of time to correct) that the fee isn't adjusted yet. Anyway cryptopia had the same with SkyCoin where the withdrawel fee was 1 Sky, which at his ATH was like 50$... we just kept bugging their support untill they made a change (aprox 2-4 weeks).

LTC is one... but there are others cheaper than LTC (in alphabetical order  ;)):

----- DGB (Bittrex fee = 0.2 DGB),
----- ETC (Bittrex fee = 0.1 ETC),
----- KMD (Bittrex fee = 0.002 KMD),
----- NEO (Bittrex fee = 0.025 NEO),
----- QTUM (Bittrex fee = 0.01 QTUM),
----- STRAT (Bittrex fee = 0.2 STRAT),
----- XLM (Bittrex fee = 0.01 XLM),
----- XRP (Bittrex fee = 1 XRP)
----- XVG (Bittrex fee = 0.2 XVG),

...depending on what is desired, of course!

I think that's normal fees and in another exchange it would take fees around $10 or more. In hitbtc to withdraw ETH you need to pay around $10 fees.

You cant have it all. If you a want to trade on high volume exchange then expect that the fees are a little bit high. But if you want no fees at all you can try cobinhood and any other small crypto exchange. the downside on this small crypto exchange is that their volume is very low. You cant make a very short term trade on their platform.

Best way to transfer between exchanges is to withdraw in cheap fee coin (like Litecoin) and then exchange that coin on the target exchange. However, if you need money other than exchange platform then you have to bear the fee.

I always use Litecoin or Doge to transfer, I think these two are almost traded everywhere and have pretty low fees. The fees for bitcoin and ethereum are just insane. Its sad wasting all the money for transaction fees.

All the best,

Peterparker9191

Me too I am using dodge and another is byteball. Doge is fast and also a reliable one. I think OP is  withdrawing his tokens for hold, I think its not good idea to withdraw if you have only a small amount. You'll lose on transaction fess. Make a research on other exchanges, and bought the said  coin you want for longer hold, I think  you'll save on fees.
