And it is probably a scam. Please be careful and don't give out your private key to "collect" this Litecoin Cash.

There is no good reason for this fork, the project (if there really is any) is completely opague, and the developers are anonymous.
And unlike the original LiteCoin, it is far far from being adopted, so lets not get all hyped up and make the mistake of investing in this obvious scam.

People being scammed is generally bad for the crypto community as a whole -- BTC and altcoins alike.

That's obviously scam hardfork. Remember all of bitcoin hardfork never try to ask your privatekey. Or that's a fake litecoin fork coin. There are so many scammers made their own shit fork coin caused by they can get instant demand from there. There is no official announcement from litecoin community regarding its airdrop and that's a scam.

Who determines/decides that Litecoin is in need of hardfork.?
Isn't the decision up to the Litecoin owners.?

Many thanks for your warning. You are right. Lightcoin Cash wouldn't make any sense as Litecoin already had a great update and doesn't have problems on slow transfer and high fees like Bitcoin had.

Anyone can fork LiteCoin, like the crazy number of useless forks from BTC. Most of them are shitcoins, and some are scams too.

Only a tiny few of those forks ended up successful with a real team and support (from miners) behind it; e.g. Bitcoin Cash -- however many, including me, isn't 100% convinced that their solution is the way to go in the long term.

Please help spread this news to the community elsewhere if possible btw. Post on Facebook and Twitter, etc. so that people will be careful with giving out their private keys. The more people getting scammed, the more people there are to lose confidence on cryptos and start FUDing it aggressively instead.

Do not submit private keys easily.
In my opinion, these forks are all dog shit, which doesn't make any sense at all. Maybe these forks are just for the money.

It is probably a scam as no platform will ask you to share your private keys in public. Looking at the project, i don't see why litecoin should be preparing for a hardfork after all despite the fact that it is popular, it does have that much of high transaction volume like bitcoin. People should beware and be careful

It is not a fork, it only use the name Litecoin to scam investors. Besides  the dev of this scam coin is never part of the team in Litecoin. Good thing you spot it and warn the others for possible scam.

Just like Charlie lee was saying to not believe any news that Litecoin will have any hardfork because it will never had, But actually after seeing that article and what it says over it you will have a second thought that it might actually a real deal, But if it always keep asking for your private key then it is not a good sign at all and your coins over your wallet can be in danger indeed.

Too many forks on bitcoin and now litecoin is the next target. Stay away from the fork if they ask for your private key, because I know fork does not require a private key. Careful!

Obviously no airdrop or hardforks would require any of your private keys surely if some projects are asking for your keys that is a scam.Litecoin is a great coin to invest, but charlee lee himself doesnt force people to invest to his coin if you cant take a 90% pullback in its price. But it seems the LTC coin is getting more stable than bitcoin and ethereum nowaways that is why more people are still choosing this great coin over other altcoins.
