Title: Request for stickied Core-Dev donations list (Bitcoin Foundation alternative) Post by: Carlton Banks on September 14, 2013, 12:52:01 AM To those of us that who wish to vote with our wallets, instead of for professional political lobbyists, I would like to make a call for a stickied list of donation addresses for the core development team ONLY to be made available, or, perhaps a multi-sig address that needs signing by the most significant n source code contributors over a period of time, subject to change (a suitable value of n could be discussed)
Of the more well known contributors, Gavin Andressen is notable for his absence of a displayed donations address, although it seems that at a quick glance, most other visible members do have a donation address to hand. Despite this, it may be beneficial to designate specific donation addresses for their development work, so that these individuals can distinguish between encouraging their contributions to forum discourse and encouraging their development work. Complaints from Bitcoin Foundation advocaters are liable for deletion. |
