So you've accumulated a massive bitcoin investing fortune, but you are going to die soon and haven't been able to enjoy it. You have no children. How can you pass on your bitcoins to future self? First you need to figure out how to target a message and have it noticed by the future self. Then you need to figure out how to securely transmit the key in a way that nobody else but your future self will be able to use. Or you need to entice your future self to download a bitcoin wallet - then somehow have the current wallet detect that the new you has created a bitcoin wallet and send the bitcoins there. Come on bitcoin. Want to talk about programmable money and the money of the future? Let's see you do this and then I'll be impressed. It would be funny if I could put this in a JIRA ticket as a bug.

Im not asking how to remember the past life, just how to recieve bitcoins from it.

You have to implement a smart contract stating to send the funds to a specific address at a specific date in time you believe you will be reincarnated.

To be honest I think you’re posing a very paradoxical question. I think that why would you be sending a fortune to yourself when you are going to die. Why would we be putting it to purselves when we can be able to put it into ourselves or to parts of our family. We are already dead and I would rather that the future generations can put it into good use

Future self? Do you believe in reincarnation or are you watching too many Sci-Fi movies? Let's say you are right, and it is possible that you might return to this earth <Hopefully not as another animal> then how would you communicate with your previous life? You could leave a diary entry on some website for your future self, because most websites are archived.

I know some people are trying Cryonics to freeze the brain.  Cryonics uses temperatures below −130°C, called cryopreservation, in an attempt to preserve enough brain information to permit future revival of the cryopreserved person.

I think Hall Finney preserved his body or a part of it with Cryonics, in the hope that there might be a cure for his disease in the future.

I do not know what happens after death. But for the sake of discussion we are assuming reincarnation as a human in the present timeline. Or a consciousness shift to another person within the timeline. Otherwise there would be nothing to discuss. I cant send bitcoins to an alien hive mind in another dimension in the past. At least not yet.

I think you think too complicated, all living things have the end of life. so you better plan that still easy to imagine than something you do not know yet
or maybe you are looking for candidates who are entitled to have all the assets in your wallet. yes, that's pretty good to me.

But seriously though, it is a very interesting thought and really pokes the child in me. I mean, damn! Wouldn't it be amazing if we were able or find a way to do this? That would be freaking amazing as hell! Only thing is, we really do not know how real reincarnation is and if it is really true, then the issue would then be the time of reincarnation. Because we cannot predict the future or when we will get reincarnated and we cannot even know if cryptos will be able to survive by then. Which may put all our efforts to waste or useless. But whatever happens, I'm sure it will be worth to watch lol.

I give my bitcoins to my children wallet and teach them how to invest in bitcoins. I believe bitcoins in the future still profit for them.
In bitcoins my children can design their future, I believe they do more investment in bitcoins. They know bitcoins still more profitable in the future.

Maybe it's not such a good desire because then ultimately we could also send bad things to future lives or get punished for eternity.

It's like an utopic story but joke aside, we need to have a plan before dying. I dont know who will be the luckiest person who is going to get my little amount but it may costs like millions someday  - I will sell them to my friends with half of the price :)

A lot of religious organization will certainly not agree with the statement of the OP, But on my suggestion, why don't you just give it to people who are really in need on that time. Like for example a charity or something.
If reincarnation is true, well, I don't think that you will really remember what happens in the past, like for example, right now, you really don't have any idea if what is your past if you really are reincarnated.

I personally don't believe in reincarnation that why My suggestion is to give your bitcoin to does who is really in need.

yes I also don't believe reincarnation. it's better if we do something good before we die like charity, if you don't have children and you don't want do charity or something like that you can give your coin to your brother or your sister or your cousin. because if we die, we will not be able to think again about what we have before.

The best way to do is to teach bitcoin to ylour family incase you die you have family to open your account or to continue bitcoin.
They have cases before that person who do bitcoin dir and their family did not know about bitcoin and their friend of the person only can help to them to open their cellphone and bitcoin wallet using their birthday of their family and they opened and their get money.

I think that you are thinking beyond the limits.No one would have ever thought in this way.If a bitcoin holder doesn't have any children,then the best thing he could do is to donate his bitcoins to a charitable trust after his death.Better go to the eternal life with atleast some good deeds.So just donate it to the needy before your last breath.

I'd be more concerned about my house and the rest of my belongings being taken by the government. If you have no family that's what's going to happen. They will also take your computer and everything else and most likely auction it off. This means that your coins and all personal notes, passwords, accounts may be accessed by a random person that wins the auction.
I don't believe in reincarnation, so I will try to have a family and be sure to give them the details.
For the reincarnation believes out there: what if you come back as a dog or other animal? What if you come back as a child and will have to wait another 10 years before you're able to even go to your former house to see if it hasn't been plundered and before you're given a computer by your new parents?

All living things will surely die. In investing we must also be careful and think about the risks that will occur as well as in bitcoin. We must have inheritance rights even though we are young. At least we have a note. For our inheritance rights.

If I got no children and I know that I'm going to die in the near future while I got many bitcoins, instead of sending it to my future self, I prefer give it to my family (in this case my parents, brother and sister). Why would I send money to the dead me? I can't even use it.

unfortunately, I don't believe reincarnation, and if I have a lot of assets on cryptocurrency, I prefer to choose to give all information about my assets to my children, my wife, my parents or people that I trust before I die someday. ;D

This is an superstitius believes of you mate.Your topic is about something that is not  proven by someone(correct me if i'm wrong),myself dontbelieve in reincarnetion or whatsoever.If i would died i would not make me to get myself busy preparing for future life(reincarneted life) that i'm not sure that would happens,i will simply tell all my belongings to my family or to my children.

I strongly agree with his opinion (jinxing) but here I will add a little advice if you do not have a child you better adopt a child because a descendant who can continue our property and our company someday you die it's all there to continue. it would not hurt you to invest your important treasure you have an heir.
