Title: Anyone offer services to configure rigs?
Post by: 50ShadesOfDamon on February 13, 2018, 01:14:36 PM
I set up a couple of rigs with help from various sources and I just can't get them all straight OR maybe this is just the max I can get out of each rig (shrugs). This isn't a post to have people tell me to set up this or that - this is exactly what the topic sais. (anyone that can teavmiew in and configure these cards to get the max out of them).
And again, this maybe the most that can be squeezed out, I dunno. If someone feels they can get a lot more out of them then so be it. The configuration now is unknown, it's been over a year since they were set up. So starting from scratch would be the way to go as far as flashing new bios etc...

Rig 1: 6 470 mining edition cards. Oddly 6 cards show up sometimes, but usually 5. I think when my buddy configured that rig he may have pushed the limit on it. It's get 80 mh on Ethereum Classic.

Rig 2: 6 MSI 580 8gb cards. It's getting 100 mh on ETC

Rig 3: 4 570 8gb, 3 470 8gb, radeon sapphire's. This is getting 111 on etc.

Claymore 10 is being used on all of these. I also tried 11 but still the same results.

Thanks in advance:

Bump for the OP! I know how frustrating it can be. I offer consulting but I don't bother with AMD any more. Takes way too much time to optimize. Good luck!

You should upgrade the drivers on our system , flash your bioses , undervolt/overclock your cards .
When you say rig 1 , rig 2 , rig 3 you should be more specific about your setup :)

On rig 1 , you might need to do some changes in bios , only way to "offer services to configure rigs" is via skype or another video chat software , you need to follow the instruction what you get via any of the video chat software :) Can be many reason why only 5 cards show up instead of 6 , bad risers , bios settings , windows , page file set up ...ect

On rig 2 and rig 3 you can give  a remote access to someone via teamviewer or any another " remote desktop " software , but somehow you need to trust that person. You need to be around your rigs "physically" , during driver update , bios falsh the remote conection can be lost and you manually have to rebot your rigs .

What country are you located ? what time zone ?

you just need to use blockchain drivers from amd and for  24-28 mhs per card, if you dont satisfied with it you can mod your bios according to their vbios ram and vendor to get 30-32 mhs per card...!!

I am in the US (EST). And I have done all of that, following various guides. As I stated in the original post, if people aren't willing to help, jump to the next post. The 12 year old comments from the guy above - well, they are just that.

As far as being around the rigs, I would be around them. I know I would have to unplug cards and plug them back in to get things to work. I am fine with that. I am familia r the processes, I just couldn't get them all to come together. Hence why I have asked for help and don't mind throwing a few dollars.

Rig 1 I have replaced all of the risers and what not, but I think it's the way the settings were put in for the overclocking.

2 and 3 I have tried the old beta drivers for more speed and they didn't it - i was unable to get all of the cards to read it. 4 or 5 cards would pick up but woudn't fully pick up the others. This is why I need a pro lol.. :)

PS.. Thank you for responding and not just giving generic answers and or cursing and being an ass hole like one of the members above. I am to old to mess with all of that childishness.

Your overclocking settings are " burned in " to the bios ? or are you using software to apply overclocking/undervolting settings ?
Send me a PM  , im in EST time zone also  :)

Last last night I got a wild hair and stayed up late, XXCsu just happen to be on and helped me with one of my rigs. This individual is a god.. One of the nicest people I have ever met and knowledgeable beyond belief. Some of the things that he was doing last evening to manipulate the cards isn't learned on just any ole youtube video. I have watched hundreds of videos and none of them covered the precise things that he did. He basically made all of the cards his bitch! :)

Thank you very much... If you drink, I owe you a few of your choice. IF not, then I owe you lunch! lol..

I have tried all kinds of things however they were never the right things. I have always heard that about AMD's, hell most people are afraid of them or told me they would not go near them. I was ready to turn my rigs off until the profit increased enough to justify them being on. Like I said, he completely took it and worked magic. There aren't any youtube videos that can teach what he did!
