Title: [ANN] TRITON [XTRI][SAO] Updated 6/2/2019 Post by: HarrisonHesslink24 on February 14, 2018, 01:00:52 AM Welcome to Triton! Website (http://xtri.network) Discord (https://discord.gg/VGwY6mF) Whitepaper (https://https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/475870345010741269/561469142826483712/Triton_whitepaper_v3.1.pdf) Sao Technical Paper (https://bit.ly/SAOTechinicalPaper) Explorer (https://explorer.xtri.network) Explorer Testnet (https://testnet.xtri.network) Github (https://github.com/TritonNetwork) Cryptocurrencies are inherently volatile. And while centralized stablecoins like Tether provide stability, they require trust of a third party to honor redemption. Because of this, there has been interest in creating decentralized stablecoins that are as trustless as Bitcoin. Triton began as an ESports project. But during 2018, Triton’s team found itself involved in many of the ‘mint and burn’ stablecoin discussions surrounding Haven Protocol. While we recognized that Haven’s ‘mint and burn’ concept was a radical all-crypto improvement to centralized fiat-backed stablecoins, we felt the proposed implementation left too many opportunities for price manipulation failure. Because of this – and our belief in the core value of the concept – we decided to attempt our own ‘mint and burn’ protocol at the end of 2018: a decentralized stablecoin we call SAO which will be pegged to the US dollar. In brief, you will always be able to destroy a market equivalent $1 US dollar value of Triton to mint a single SAO dollar and vice versa. Triton will rely on decentralized ‘service nodes’ – a multifunctional price-monitoring oracle of our own design for determining the mint and burn exchange rate. Complete technical proposal on SAO can be found here: https://bit.ly/SAOTechinicalPaper The first generation of service nodes are currently on public testnet. Once off testnet, these nodes will become a core component of the Triton blockchain and SAO will go live: https://testnet.xtri.network/ Roadmap Q4 2018 • Rebase 10/6/18 √ • Blockchain NW Conference 10/16/18 √ • Neptune Beta 10/30/18 √ • Whitepaper v2 √ Q1 2019 • SAO Research and Development √ • SAO SN Gen 1 Testnet √ • Whitepaper v3 √ • qTrade Listing √ • SAO Technical Paper √ • Office Space • Bring on more team members Q2 2019 • StreamShard BETA • SAO SN Gen 2 Testnet • Continue development of SAO Exchanges Qtrade.io (April 2019) Trade Ogre (https://tradeogre.com/exchange/BTC-XTRI) Bitliber (https://bitliber.com/markets/xtri-btc) Triton Team Krakn – Founder, Lead Developer. Also will you be having masternodes and if so, how much will they cost and what is the return they will produce in percentage terms? Will you be supporting POS or only POW? How will you be doing both CPU an GPU mining support, surly GPU will make CPU mining totally not worth while? Please give us more details. If you want to implement a pre-mine you should change the title of the Ann. Or you can choose to get a 3% from every block rewards. Personally I prefer % form block rewards than a pre-mine. I'm currently mining using pool.tritonproject.org. But I can see that the network is 1.28 MH/sec and the pool is just 38.32 KH/sec. Do you guys know any bigger pool to use? Or is it better to stay with just other 30 miners? Thanks! EDIT: Started now with cryptoknight.cc/triton as my latency with them is just 17ms and they have more miners... Title: Re: Triton [TRIT] | CryptoNight | Main-net Launch 3/1/2018 Post by: bmneveu on March 13, 2018, 01:09:41 PM Hello Triton community! Triton fans.. Tritonians... Tritonites?
Brad here from the dev team. We posted our second weekly Triton Tuesday announcement! It's copied below, but you can find the original blog on the site at: https://tritonproject.org/2018/03/13/triton-tuesday-3-13-2018/ Welcome to the second Triton Tuesday! It has been two weeks since we officially launched the main net and we are already past block 6000 in the chain! We’ve had nearly 15,000 transactions take place on the blockchain, and our Discord community is up to 349 members! It’s been an exciting week, and we have lots of updates for this announcement. They are: Project Naming Convention Project Neptune Difficulty Algorithm Exchanges Triton Team’s view on ASIC miners Faucet Woo-Commerce-Plugin Website Revamp Whitepaper Draft Naming Convention You may have seen some of the hints we’ve been dropping on Twitter about the direction we are going with our project naming convention. Triton is a moon of the planet Neptune. Actually, it is the largest of many and also one of only four moons in the solar system known to have an atmosphere. We fell in love with this theme for Triton, and will be using other Neptune-related names for some of the projects we will be working on within Triton. Project Neptune What better way to break in the new naming convention? Project Neptune is now the name for the streaming donation platform currently in development. Krakn is working on it daily and making a ton of progress. The front-end dashboard is already functional, while the back-end is still a work in progress. This will be our first major project release, which we are projecting to drop in Q2 2018. New Difficulty Algorithm Krakn has been testing implementation of a better difficulty algorithm on the test net to deter spikes in difficulty from hash-rental attacks. We are planning on updating the wallet with the new difficulty algorithm, which everyone will have to switch over to by a certain block number. This block number will be announced soon to ensure everyone has plenty of time to switch over. Exchanges “When exchange?” is one of the most common questions we get. Everyone wants Triton to be on an exchange, and we do too! However, we want to to be closer to releasing Project Neptune before we get on an exchange, so that there is a product to our name. We will be on an exchange in Q2 2018! ASICs News recently came out about an ASIC miner configured to efficiently mine CryptoNote protocol cryptocurrencies, which were previous resistant to ASIC miners. The Triton Team does not want ASICs to destroy Triton’s small miner community, which seems to be a sentiment many CryptoNote teams share. We are looking into all of our options to make sure Triton can not be mined with ASICs. Triton Faucet A Triton Faucet was launched! You can get FREE daily Triton payouts! (http://tritonfaucet.com/) Woo-Commerce Plugin Krakn edited the woo-commerce plugin for Triton use. This will be released after we are on an exchange. Website Revamp Jastar13 has worked super hard and is still currently working on the revamp of the website (https://tritonproject.org/). Keep it up Jastar13! Whitepaper Draft Brad has been working on a first draft of the white paper and should be released in Q2 2018. Bounties We completed multiple community bounties and even have one currently ongoing on Twitter. Are you a graphic artist, or even just a good meme creator? Go here for more information: https://twitter.com/Triton_io/status/973211799247052801 The team has talked about MANY more features, but we can’t reveal them before we decide on which direction we want to go. Plus, we have to have something for next week, right? Thank you so much to the entire Triton community. You are the reason for Triton’s success. This coin is dying. Marketing is something we are working on, but we've made it no secret that our primary focus right now is development. We have a little bit of everything in the works pretty much all the time, but we spend more time on development than anything else. We have received a few requests for more marketing lately and will discuss as a team if we should shift a little more time to that side for a bit. Thanks! We actually pride ourselves in how fast we have been able to respond to and fix issues so far, though there have not been many. We have worked very hard and document everything in our weekly blog posts. Other than that, I would like to hear why you think we are a scam. We do not have a Telegram at this time but it is something we have talked about and may consider if we see more interest. We have more than 380 members in our Discord channel though, so that is a good place to talk Triton and reach the developers quickly. https://discord.gg/2KFsRE5 Title: Re: Triton [TRIT] | CryptoNight | Main-net Launch 3/1/2018 Post by: bmneveu on March 26, 2018, 01:11:43 AM Most likely this coin will not be worth anything. The start was given, naminee about 3 million coins and there were some problems with the official pool.Personally I do not recommend wasting your power on this otkrovenny shield-Scam-coin. It seems that this post has not been updated for a long time! Can I dig mine now? Is there an exchange? Wallets can be downloaded from our website at: https://tritonproject.org/ You can mine, yes. There are lots of pools up and posting in our Discord channel. Most of them can also be found at: http://explorer.tritonproject.org/#pools The dev pool (0.5% fee supports the project) is at: http://pool.tritonproject.org/ We are currently looking at listing on a few different exchanges, but not listed yet. This is on our road map to be achieved this quarter! Hope that info helps! Is this only about a digital currency that can be transferred back and forth by e-sports people or is it a platform that also providers a variety of services to the industry? Triton is based on Cryptonote technology and can be used as such. We are a privacy coin that you can use to transfer funds to and from others anonymously, regardless of the reason. It does not have to be eSports related at all. If you want to send 10 TRIT to your friend for buying your coffee this morning, go for it. We have wallets on our website with send/receive functions. That being said, we are currently developing Project Neptune, which is a platform for tipping/donating to eSports streamers, like Twitch. This is our first major development, but it's only the first. We are not stopping there. You may be wondering why there are no updates/fixes to the current wallet and why its kind of quiet. I am working on switching the codebase from cryptonote (bytecoin) to moneros codebase. This codebase will be much smoother and stable. Having nodes will use less ram. There are tons of pros to the switch over. We will announce when the fork will happen as soon as we have a stable release. It will most likely happen late June or early July. I will be putting out more details as often as I can to make sure we have communication between the team and community. If you have any questions, please talk to me either Private Message or in #:computer:dev-general in the Triton discord.

So, i downloaded the latest gui wallet got my TRIT address, i mined myself some triton and i decided to send those coins to the exchange. There was 1800 coins in the wallet, i am putting the exchange address and payment id, set the amount to send to 1700 hit send and get an error about transaction size bytes to large. After that i notice that my wallet has 1200 coins and nothing send to the exchanged, in addition there was no outgoing transactions in the wallet history. I reset the wallet, no joy, coins still missing. I gave this thread some read and noticed others having problems with the gui wallet so decide to import the wallet keys to the cli wallet, except there is no import option in the trit simplewallet. A few days i am feeling brave and i decide give the gui wallet another try, i fill in the details and i send 600 coins to tradeogre. This time the transaction is completed, 600 coins send with... 600 coins fee !!! For a total of 1200 spend. ??? CN heavy should be the next target for the rumored upcoming programmable ASICs. Any try to add bigger exchanges ? At this time we do not want to sell our premine to pay the listing fee for a bigger exchange. We are focused on development right now. There are other ways on several exchanges, such as request + vote. Is there anything to be expected in the near future? Hi Bober182, Great question! The Triton Team is working on quite a few things right now actually.
This is what we have on our plate right now. We have plenty more planned for after the summer, but we really want to focus on the implementation of Triton and Neptune into the eSports and content streaming industries right now. Brad Hey Brad is the Neptune beta running? I thought about the content streamers and if you want to get them onboard, is the platform's content running on the blockchain or is the platform itself centralized? I didn't expect a cryptonight blockchain to be able to process as much data as is required for streaming. Title: Re: [ANN] TRITON [XTR] Updated Sept 9, 2018 Project Triton Rebase Release Post by: ThomasDParker on October 07, 2018, 05:43:47 AM Project Triton Rebase Release
Original Post: https://medium.com/@projecttriton/project-triton-rebase-release-ea10e376ea14 The Triton Team is pleased to announce that we are launching our rebased code, our trading ticker will move from $trit to $xtri, and our logo will change as well. Download CLI Download GUI So what is all coming in this update? Monero Rebase: Chain forks at height 100,000 Web Wallet Release at height 100,000(or sooner) GUI Wallet Release Project Neptune BETA release at height 100,000 Neptune Miner Release at height 100,000 Rebrand effective immediately The rebase will be the most significant change Triton has had so far. It is a huge step forward for the project, and we are very excited. Here is some critical information to get you started on the new Triton rebase. HOW TO USE CLI WALLET If you do not have the daemon up, please start up tritond.exe and wait for full sync. If it doesn’t start syncing, restart daemon and it should. The CLI 8Wallet is named triton-wallet-cli.exe in the folder that you downloaded on our GitHub. You will need to open up cmd ( a quick way to open it in that folder is SHIFT+ RIGHT CLICK in the folder which will give you an option to open command line here). If that method does not work, go to the bottom left of windows and type cmd in the search bar. Press enter, and it should boot up the command line. Next, grab the path of the folder in the file explorer then type cd (path of folder here). After you are in the folder type: ./triton-wallet-cli (two -)generate-from-keys wallet_name.wallet You will then be asked for your Triton address. Enter yours and hit enter. Now it will ask for your keys. To get the two keys, go into your GUI wallet and hit export private key. You will be given a 256 character key and you will need to split it up into four 64 character length keys. For an example: Triton exported GUI key: 86F5C21423DC8549CDADA9940536D0C81FA5C4FDDA4620F354A79E52D03259A58B8AAB766F23399 B57235A1A3EAF551B337FCCE496289014F9951A4F376C3B57E938D9A210F8A3C69EEE933F75068A 356F7B58AEB93C6EDE585F502A7E967A052CFB8C28FDDE2983574472EA461F611CAF78F8E06D58C D13379BAA2D2BBC7E0E Public Spend Key: 86F5C21423DC8549CDADA9940536D0C81FA5C4FDDA4620F354A79E52D03259A5 Public View Key: 8B8AAB766F23399B57235A1A3EAF551B337FCCE496289014F9951A4F376C3B57 Triton Secret Spend Key: E938D9A210F8A3C69EEE933F75068A356F7B58AEB93C6EDE585F502A7E967A05 Triton Secret View Key: 2CFB8C28FDDE2983574472EA461F611CAF78F8E06D58CD13379BAA2D2BBC7E0E Note. These keys will be used in the rebase. You will need to enter the secret spend key first. Then you will need to enter the Secret View key. You will then be prompted with a password to encrypt the wallet file. Lastly, you will be prompted to restore from a specific block height enter 0. It will then scan the entire chain for your transactions. GUI Wallet To use the GUI wallet download the latest version posted on our website. What is Project Triton? Project Triton is a cryptocurrency that is revolutionizing the eSports and online streaming industries with blockchain technology through their Neptune and Proteus platforms. Neptune and Neptune Mining Neptune is a proprietary streamer donation application that enables viewers to donate to streamers with Triton. Neptune also allows streamers to get notified when they get a donation. Neptune Mining is a way for every viewer to support their favorite streamers. While a viewer is watching a streamer, their computer will join a mining pool while watching the stream. The block reward from this pool will go towards the streamer they are viewing. Neptune mining will cause no interruptions while watching the stream, and will also have no noticeable effects on the performance of the viewer’s computer. What is Project Proteus? Proteus is a platform that will allow organizers to host gaming events and offer Triton in the prize pool. The viewers of the events will be able to raise the prize pool by adding to it, as well as mining it. Any Questions? Title: TRITON SWAP - 3 WEEKS PEOPLE - TRITON SWAP Post by: coinmancan on November 09, 2018, 12:33:50 PM Please read this article: https://medium.com/@projecttriton/project-triton-swap-trit-to-xtri-e183f6ce3c65 A few things: 1) I have Triton GUI wallet version 2.9 that I downloaded months ago (it stopped working/mining and I came here to find out what's going on). The form mentions wallet version 2.0 Helium and CLI 2.0 . I'm confused. Do I use "Export tracking key" in the 2.9 wallet? How do we proceed with this? 2) Google is not good to mix with crypto. They spy on, log and track everything. 3) The Google form forces signing in to a Google account. Many of us do not use or have Google accounts. 4) Survey Monkey let's you create forms for free, unlimited surveys 10 questions each, here is the website https://www.surveymonkey.com/pricing "How much does SurveyMonkey cost? The Basic plan is FREE." 5) Please put the Swap info on the ANN page and all channels ASAP. :) It's really important to let everyone know everywhere they look. I've been on the other side of missed swaps and it's not fun and is usually a community blow-up for the next few months after with everyone who's missed out and the fallout from the whole process. You will need to send the following to them from your old wallet: 1. Secret View Key - You can export it or copy it from your old wallet. 2. Your old wallet address. 3. Your new Helium wallet address. After you copy the keys from your old wallet (I would copy all 4 keys and seed) save it to a flash drive. Then go to C:\Windows\Program Data and delete the triton folder. Then download Helium and install it. Then you can get your new xtri address. So,If i have a little Xtri on my old wallet Lithium 3.1.0 ,what i need to do to save my coins ? Your coins are always safe, they are unless the network is 51% attacked and the blocks where your transations were are re-written. You have to update your wallet to be able to use your coins. Remember to save your seed and / or your private keys before updating.
