There are lot of competition in the cryptocoin esport project and most of then are trying to a build strong community by giving out some bounties in order to entice more attentions. You should try to follow their example and probably your project will hit the roof.

But I can see that the network is 1.28 MH/sec and the pool is just 38.32 KH/sec.

Do you guys know any bigger pool to use?

Or is it better to stay with just other 30 miners?

There was no pre-mine planned when that post was made. The devs decided to poll the community to ask if they would be in favor of a pre-mine. We were very transparent with what we planned to use the pre-mined coins for. The explanation and poll was posted to many of our social media outlets. I notice that the hash rate is way down. It was around 1.4Ghs when I started and last I looked, it was around 3 - 400 Mhs. More coins for me but just wondering why it died down so quickly. Any theories on why? Is this coin being promoted? Seems to be quite unknown. Any exchanges planned?

I'm gonna sell them as rare collectibles lol. Maybe in the future the dev will focus on promoting the coin rather than just the mining side of it so they can actually have some value. I'm stopping mining at 1000 coins which should be in a few hours from now. I've noticed that mining has fallen from 1.4Ghs to < 400Mh/s I think others have the same idea.

Honestly there isn't much to be expected from this coin. The white papers and infos that have been posted by the dev are not written by himself. Those are the standard documents for crypto note technology, nothing new to be found here.

We have not posted a white paper, so not sure what you are talking about there. However, that is something that is currently in the works.

It has been two weeks since we officially launched the main net and we are already past block 6000 in the chain! We’ve had nearly 15,000 transactions take place on the blockchain, and our Discord community is up to 349 members! It’s been an exciting week, and we have lots of updates for this announcement. Naming Convention
You may have seen some of the hints we’ve been dropping on Twitter about the direction we are going with our project naming convention. Triton is a moon of the planet Neptune. Actually, it is the largest of many and also one of only four moons in the solar system known to have an atmosphere. We fell in love with this theme for Triton, and will be using other Neptune-related names for some of the projects we will be working on within Triton.

Project Neptune
What better way to break in the new naming convention? Project Neptune is now the name for the streaming donation platform currently in development. Krakn is working on it daily and making a ton of progress. The front-end dashboard is already functional, while the back-end is still a work in progress. This will be our first major project release, which we are projecting to drop in Q2 2018.

New Difficulty Algorithm
Krakn has been testing implementation of a better difficulty algorithm on the test net to deter spikes in difficulty from hash-rental attacks. We are planning on updating the wallet with the new difficulty algorithm, which everyone will have to switch over to by a certain block number. This block number will be announced soon to ensure everyone has plenty of time to switch over.

Exchanges
“When exchange?” is one of the most common questions we get. Everyone wants Triton to be on an exchange, and we do too! However, we want to to be closer to releasing Project Neptune before we get on an exchange, so that there is a product to our name. We will be on an exchange in Q2 2018!

ASICs
News recently came out about an ASIC miner configured to efficiently mine CryptoNote protocol cryptocurrencies, which were previous resistant to ASIC miners. The Triton Team does not want ASICs to destroy Triton’s small miner community, which seems to be a sentiment many CryptoNote teams share. We are looking into all of our options to make sure Triton can not be mined with ASICs.

Brad has been working on a first draft of the white paper and should be released in Q2 2018.

a) how can I have mnemonic seed displayed?

All pool have some problems. Mining 5 hours with 50kh and still there is no coins. But blocks on pool are ok.

We had an issue where one pool got out of sync with the others. We are synced up now and all pools should be mining without issue.

Yes you did post something about cryptonote technology and so on. Nothing comes from yourself so it is actually not even clear what you wanna do with this coin and whether it is supposed to last or vanish very soon.

Triton is based on Cryptonote technology and can be used as such. We are a privacy coin that you can use to transfer funds to and from others anonymously, regardless of the reason. It does not have to be eSports related at all. If you want to send 10 TRIT to your friend for buying your coffee this morning, go for it. We have wallets on our website with send/receive functions. That being said, we are currently developing Project Neptune, which is a platform for tipping/donating to eSports streamers, like Twitch. This is our first major development, but it's only the first. We are not stopping there.

Have you tried clicking reset wallet in the wallet. If that doesn't work please go to %appdata%/Triton and delete the DB folder.

So buggy wallet ((((( I tried transaction to the wallet from pool on saturday, then from the wallet to exchange - all was OK. After that I kept mining and today I opened the wallet (v 2.9 gui wallet) and I see my balance =0 (zero) and "full history" is empty. Now I download the newest 2.9.2 wallet and start syncronizing. I will report if It give me my TRITs back in 1-2 hours.

Update: 3+ hours syncing after @Reset wallet", money is back in the wallet.

Your xmr stak use the wrong algo, try to switch to cryptonight_lite_v7, and check the correct version of software

The GUI wallet is so bugged its unreal. When i try to send transaction wallet freeze and get a program not responding alert from windows. Or i have 500 Triton in my wallet try to send 499 and its says transaction sizein bytes too big.

Hey guys!  You may be wondering why there are no updates/fixes to the current wallet and why its kind of quiet. I am working on switching the codebase from cryptonote (bytecoin) to moneros codebase. This codebase will be much smoother and stable. Having nodes will use less ram. There are tons of pros to the switch over. We will announce when the fork will happen as soon as we have a stable release. It will most likely happen late June or early July.  I will be putting out more details as often as I can to make sure we have communication between the team and community. My wallet is synchronized but only showing 29 of the 514 Triton I've been paid by the pool.  Anyone else having this problem?

I saved wallet backup, deleted wallet, downloaded new win zip and relaunched with backed up wallet.  Balance showed as 29 for a few minutes then went to 0.  All transactions are listed but shown as cancelled.  Only transactions from today show and I've been mining for a week.

Anyone know why when I try to send Triton, I get an error saying "Transaction Size In Bytes Is Too Big" I tried updating to the latest wallet. Still nothing. Doesn't matter what denomination I use. Tried changing/disabling wallet optimization, fiddled with settings. It just won't send. Incoming transactions work fine.

It is a common issue at this point. Some wallets never experience the issue, some can't seem to get around it. Krakn is working on a big fix, but it is going to a take a little time. Hello all.
So, i downloaded the latest gui wallet got my TRIT address, i mined myself some triton and i decided to send those coins to the exchange.
There was 1800 coins in the wallet, i am putting the exchange address and payment id, set the amount to send to 1700 hit send and get an error about transaction size bytes to large.
After that i notice that my wallet has 1200 coins and nothing send to the exchanged, in addition there was no outgoing transactions in the wallet history.
I reset the wallet, no joy, coins still missing.
I gave this thread some read and noticed others having problems with the gui wallet so decide to import the wallet keys to the cli wallet, except there is no import option
in the trit simplewallet.
A few days i am feeling brave and i decide give the gui wallet another try, i fill in the details and i send 600 coins to tradeogre.
This time the transaction is completed, 600 coins send with... 600 coins fee !!! For a total of 1200 spend. ???

Hey Brad is the Neptune beta running? I thought about the content streamers and if you want to get them onboard, is the platform's content running on the blockchain or is the platform itself centralized? I didn't expect a cryptonight blockchain to be able to process as much data as is required for streaming.

We are just enhancing the viewer/streamer experience with donations on the blockchain. Project Neptune is not out but will be out shortly. I have been pretty busy with working on the code rebase to monero. However it should be out in a couple of weeks. Currently donations are centralized through Project Neptune however I have a solution to decentralize it all which will be implemented later on. I can't give any specifics yet as its in the early stages of planning. I hope I answered your question. :D

The rebase will be the most significant change Triton has had so far. It is a huge step forward for the project, and we are very excited. Here is some critical information to get you started on the new Triton rebase.

HOW TO USE CLI WALLET

If you do not have the daemon up, please start up tritond.exe and wait for full sync. If it doesn’t start syncing, restart daemon and it should.
The CLI 8Wallet is named triton-wallet-cli.exe in the folder that you downloaded on our GitHub. You will need to open up cmd ( a quick way to open it in that folder is SHIFT+ RIGHT CLICK in the folder which will give you an option to open command line here). If that method does not work, go to the bottom left of windows and type cmd in the search bar. Press enter, and it should boot up the command line.
Next, grab the path of the folder in the file explorer then type cd (path of folder here).
After you are in the folder type: ./triton-wallet-cli (two -)generate-from-keys wallet_name.wallet
You will then be asked for your Triton address. Enter yours and hit enter.
Now it will ask for your keys. To get the two keys, go into your GUI wallet and hit export private key. You will be given a 256 character key and you will need to split it up into four 64 character length keys.
For an example:

A few things:

1) I have Triton GUI wallet version 2.9 that I downloaded months ago (it stopped working/mining and I came here to find out what's going on).  The form mentions wallet version 2.0 Helium and CLI 2.0 .  I'm confused. Do I use "Export tracking key" in the 2.9 wallet?  How do we proceed with this?

5) Please put the Swap info on the ANN page and all channels ASAP.  :)  It's really important to let everyone know everywhere they look.  I've been on the other side of missed swaps and it's not fun and is usually a community blow-up for the next few months after with everyone who's missed out and the fallout from the whole process.

You will need to send the following to them from your old wallet:

1. Secret View Key - You can export it or copy it from your old wallet.

2. Your old wallet address.

3. Your new Helium wallet address.

After you copy the keys from your old wallet (I would copy all 4 keys and seed) save it to a flash drive.  Then go to C:\Windows\Program Data and delete the triton folder.

Then download Helium and install it.  Then you can get your new xtri address.

Your coins are always safe, they are unless the network is 51% attacked and the blocks where your transations were are re-written.

You have to update your wallet to be able to use your coins. Remember to save your seed and / or your private keys before updating.

How does one restore triton to equilibria using just private keys? the new gui can only restore from file or seed. no option to restore with private keys.
