Yes localbitcoins is still popular in india, even after the entry of many exchanges. As per me, bank Transfer is more popular than paypal. Double check the reputation/trade history of the user before trading with them.

Yup, a lot of people still use localbitcoins.
People used to prefer locabitcoins over exchanges like coinsecure, zebpay.
But now the market is full of neophytes, who are unaware of terms like escrow.So now majority of the user's prefer simple exchanges.

As for the mode of payment, paypal-NO!
Here no one uses paypal for the exchange of bitcoins.You will rarely find anyone with paypal here.
RBI has directed paypal to straightaway send the funds to the bank account.So we can't keep money as paypal balance.

Thus, bank transfer and UPI is the most common method of payment.Some people prefer PayTm too.

I use localbitcoins to sell Bitcoins(haven't used them for buying though). If you plan to buy Bitcoins, you will have to transfer money in INR via NEFT/IMPS.

So i’m little bit newbee with it. Could you please specify, I’ve jsut created PP account and linked my bank account to it.
If I get money to my PayPal account it won’t go to my PayPal balance it will go right away to my bank account? Then I can go to localbitcoins and buy BTC from my Bank account? Correct?
I just need to receive funds to PP these days from another country and want to be sure that I will get it. And buy bitcoins then 🙂

If you receive money on you Paypal, you need to withdraw it to your Bank account. If the withdrawal is not done in a week, the funds are auto-withdrawn. Its takes 5-7 days for the funds to reach your bank account.

Paypal is completely regulated as per RBI so we can use but where local bitcoins is available for doing business in local bitcoin is risky

PayPal is popular in india but local bitcoin is nt that popular pay pal is regulated by govt but whereas localbitcoins is secured but only few deal bit risky

I'm using localbitcoins since 3 years. I like the simple P2P trading concept more than any middle man involved exchanges like zebpay, koinex etc even though the rates are high.
PayPal has limited functions in India but still it's quite popular.

Yes LBC and PayPal always popular , specially PayPal well frankly its the biggest Payment processor in the world lol and nothing can beat it till date and in India its quite popular , now even opened new company due to GST Regime named as PayPal Payments Private Limited from PayPal Lte Singapore . Now for LBC if you looking Cash for your crypto then LBC is great place for anonymity and face to face trades with escrow .  ;)

Its similar to like asking do you know btc back in 2012-2013 in india.just forget about about localbitcoin only cryptocurrency trader knows about it.and PayPal is popular amongst businessman and IT background student or people but majority of them only knows about it  ,they hardly use it.paytm is popular in India.

Both of these are not popular in India. Most of freelancers and digital marketers are using PayPal.

Paypal is still commonly used by web geeks. But localbitcoin is now almost avoided. And the main reason for avoiding localbitcoin is the untractable transections made in cash. This is ths main reason why cryptocurrencies is still not regulated. And they will be possiblly ristricted legally in near future.

yes in india localbitcoin exchange is more popular. i am also using this but now a days zebpay is more people using. typically in localbitcoin bank transaction is used more.

Localbtcoins is pretty unknown, people use the common ones mentioned in this thread. When it comes to paypal, it is only used where there is no other option.

People used the localbitcoin in India, there are multiple payment option popular in india. Most preferred one is the CASH.
