Always share ONLY your public address, never share the private key. Are you using the WavesLite?

A private key is always mathematically related to the wallet address,
but is impossible to reverse engineer thanks to a strong encryption code base.

Never share or post your private key to anywhere.
In Oder to receive your fund, you only need to share your address with others.

yes. I'm talking about waveswallet.io. So if I should use the address then what is the purpose of public ID ?. they are not the same addresses.

Be very careful when using the Waves Wallet.  Your seed is everything.  If your seed gets exposed, you will lose everything in your wallet.  All Waves and every other tokens you have in it.  If you lose your seed, you will never be able to access your tokens ever again.  The seed is very important.

Your public address is the one that you will give to other people when you want them to send you coins or if you have an ICO that makes use of the waves chain you will use your address there also. The Seed or Private Key is you emergency backup if your computer crashes or gets stolen etc. You can use that to recover your wallet and assets on a new machine.

A public key (address) is a set of symbols that a blockchain uses to identify a particular purse. You receive translations for it, you can show it to others. A private key is a special code that is tied to each asset in your wallet and confirms the possession of the crypto currency.Any transaction that has a valid signature will be accepted by the network. Simultaneously, any person who has your private key can create the correct transaction. Therefore, the private key should always be kept secret and not shown to anyone.

the first thing when you make a wallet waves is to save seed (private key) if it is lost, then your assets will be lost, because the seed is the password to open our account.
seed, has 15 random words and this should we have to save well.

second is address (public key) this is your wallet address, place you receive your coin. so when you transact, then you give to others is the address waves (public key).
example address waves (public key) 3PLYbr1HBKo5GF8qbgta1cAf8mWKgGgCxJf

"public" key is public. You can share it. "private" key is private. You should be very careful, there are many fraud webpages on the internet, which may has a very good interface. Do not share private at all.
When you open waveswallet.io, you can see the key on top of the page, that public key can be used for trades.

Yes. but there are 3 types of keys at wallet. Address, Public key and private key. I know that the private key should be kept safe. So if the address is used to receive coins then the public key stands for what ?. Also those 2 keys are not same keys in value.

Public key is your address you can use it to recieve funds. Private key is the key to access your wallet and make any transactions. Dont share it anywhere.

Be very careful when using the Waves Wallet. you can give public address to others when sending or receiving coins. Do not post private keys to the public because others can steal your wallet and you will lose everything. So keep it secret
