Title: Asrock btc+ pro hash rate 12gpu
Post by: ruplikminer on February 14, 2018, 06:00:19 PM
Hi guys. I am having a strange problem. Maybe someone had the same and can help me.

I have an Asrock btc+ with 12 gtx 1070ti
2 psu for the cards. Each 1600w so a total of 3200w and also one separate psu 450w for the mb. All the connectors and power connectors on the mobo are plugged.

I have 16gb ram and G4400 gpu.

The problem is that the more cards I connect the less has rate per card i have
For example with tribus and one card I have 66mh/s. 2 cards 62mh/s. Up to 12 cards i have 50mh/s per card...

Anyone have idea why this is happening and how to fix it?

I run windows 10 1703.

Thanks!

virtual ram big enough? would make sence if you add more gpu“s and pagefile is to small you get a bottleneck

Anyone?

I've never mined at that capacity before, the most I've ever done is a single GPU per desktop PC I have and add in the CPU for a little bit of extra hashpower. That being said, I suspect that what's happening here is that whatever mining software you're using relies on the CPU a bit too much and the more GPU's you add, the more it taxes your GPU's to the point where your CPU can't keep up with the GPU's anymore, thus giving you a lower hashrate for each GPU you add. That's just my theory though and someone with more mining experience of that scale might be able to give you a better solution or explanation.

Switch to linux, Windows is total trash with that many cards. Plus you have the added benefit of stability and people not rolling their eyes when you say you are mining on Windows.....

bullshit i have several 12gpu windows rigs running stable 24/7. with fucking linux you cannot even undervolt properly

I manage 1250 linux rigs and 350 windows rigs.

Windows rigs need 3-5x the reboots on a weekly basis versus the linux machines. Im not just talking out my ass, im saying this having more experience with GPU rigs than pretty much anyone else you will ever find.

I was using 6000 as mining and 40000 as maximim. Should I increase it?

Here the options are 1) cpu not powerful enough? But I read of. many ppl using the G4400 with 12 and not problems...i can still try an i3 6300 but just if it's really needed. 2) more ram? 3) more virtual memory? 4) update windows to the latest 1709?

Hey buddy since you manage also so many windows rigs, do you have any advice? Basically the more the cards works, the lower the hasrate per card.

im not talking out of my ass too, if you need to reboot your windows rigs 3-5x weekly you are doing something wrong. havent rebooted my rigs for months now, just if i play with bios modding and/or configs.
with linux my rigs would draw around 100-150watts(dpending on algo) more from the wall on same hashrate... i tried it for some time but for me it has no advantage

man what the fuck are you retarded? i tell you what could be the problem and you ask "more virutal memory". no make it smaller

have you checked the temperature? Maybe they are getting thermal throttled  :D

Ah ok. I will now increase it. I admit I am sort-of retarded sometimes. And this was one of those times!

What should be the MIN virtual size? I just added the 13th card now

Ok I tried increasing the virtual memory to 130000 but still the same problem...

Ok. The G4400 is being used at 65% with ccminer and tribus. I bet I need a more powerful cpu

Ok problem fixed. Maybe I can help someone. I set the cpu priority to 5 and the hasrate skyrocketed from 50mh/s card to 69/71 mh/s card. So YES it was a cpu problem. For now it's fixed using cpu priority to 4 but I am going to buy a more powerful cpu now.

Thanks!
