Hello guys just wondering why is it Im still a Sr. member while my activity count is already for Sr. member.  Is there a bug or new adjustment from the forum algo?  Thanks a lot.

Did you actually not wondering what's the "Merit" used right below on your activity?

Lols I see.  Never heard about it.  Ok now I need to be good with others to get merit.

With the typical quality of your posts, you're going to have a hard time getting merit points, so you likely won't advance to Hero status for quite some time--and it'll take a lot more effort on your part. 

Also, since you profess ignorance about the system: don't try tobuy or trade merit, as that'll get you red tagged by DT pretty quick.   Then again, it's so hard to predict who'll be on DT a day, week, or year from now.  But in any case, it's not allowed.

Not everyone here goes through the Meta section to discuss the forum, a lot of users are here for the various sections and the topics they relate to.

I only looked into Merit because a telegram group I'm a part of was talking about it.
Had I not checked into it I probably wouldn't have paid it any attention until I saw the first Merited post. Depending on what section you are in those can be few and far between, unfortunately leaving a lot of good quality posters out to dry.

For someone like OP this sucks as they were pretty close to achieving their new rank; it would have been nice if Theymos had at least gotten you half way there. Not just you specifically but any members who where half way to their next rank or some other sort of proportional distribution. I think that he made an adjustment a few days after the system was introduced to assist hero members who were close to Legendary; I can't remember.

I am aware of merit stat, I just think of it as a "thank you" button just like from other forums, and nothing special about it. Never knew its now a part of ranking algorithm. My bad of not reading the official post of Theymos about it.
