Title: Cryptocoin Watch: Honest, accurate, and transparent coin "market cap" database
Post by: cryptocoinwatch on February 15, 2018, 01:01:26 AM
Hi all,

I'd like to introduce Cryptocoin Watch (www.cryptocoinwatch.com (http://www.cryptocoinwatch.com))

Cryptocoin Watch is an honest, accurate, and transparent coin "market cap" listing database. The project was founded in an effort to promote uniformity and transparency in the cryptocurrency marketshare.

The project was initiated after several frustrating experiences with other coin "market cap" listing sites. For example, how many market cap evaluation sites list unique coins with the same tickers? And, have you ever wondered what CoinMarketCap means when they say the price was updated...recently? How recently?!

As a result of these many frustrations, Cryptocoin Watch promotes unique ticker symbols, transparent algorithms (supplied through direct email at this time), honest and explicit timestamps, and much more.

Please leave suggestions, concerns, questions in the comments below.

I like the minimalist design, a lot.

I also like the fact that stats are updated live every single second, although others have done it as well but certainly not to the degree that you have here. Even the total crypto market capitalization is being updated live here.

The chat and forum will help grow the community a lot, as well.

The only advice I can give is that maybe have a color representation of a certain indicator/value going up/down. For example, if BTC price is going down, instead of bolding it, have a red color background the instant it gets updated.

Overall, pretty bright future ahead.

Please leave suggestions, concerns, questions in the comments below.
1. Have the ability to add (to the list) and delete (from the list) coins.
2. Be able to change the order of the list (based on "Price" and etc...)

I like how clicking a coin, gives you the different prices from different exchanges (hope to see the data being fetched from more exchanges).

Thank you for your comment. We will definitely look into a live ticker board with price action indicators. I may be private messaging your sometime in the future to get more input on your idea, if you don't mind.

Thanks for the comment. A "favorite" (of sorts) feature is something I too think would be very useful. I hope to add this feature sometime in the next few months. And yes, more exchanges will be added!

have you ever wondered what CoinMarketCap means when they say the price was updated...recently? How recently?!

I already lost money because of this, I saw it in the CoinMarketCap and it showed that the coin I bought had a price increase of 5% if I do not break my memory, but after hours I discovered that the coin I bought had fallen a lot, only the CoinMarketCap had not updated the price, since that day I realized that I should not simply rely on the CoinMarketCap

your site is very beautiful and very useful, I will use your site to follow the prices

(supplied through direct email at this time)

What does that mean?

Please leave suggestions

you could add the links of the social networks of each coin and the ANN links of the bitcointalk of each coin, this will make people no longer need to go look for this information in CoinMarketCap

Thanks for your comment. I am glad you have found use for the site. As far as "direct email at this time", I mean, if you email me I will explain you our algorithm for getting the numbers that we get (and display).

As far as adding social network profiles for each coin, you will see this in the future for sure. It is a very easy implement. Also, I'm a bit new to this forum, could you tell me exactly what the ANN threads on BitcoinTalk are? Are they official threads of the coin?

The ability to sort and change the order of the list based on coin name, price, marketcap, and volume is here! Thank you for your suggestion.
