That question probably doesn't make too much sense, unless you are willing to buy them at significantly higher than the market price, in which case, I'll sell them to you, and rush to buy back at the market price as soon as I can. That kind of charity seems unrealistic to me.

I was answering the following question instead: "What would the market value of your Bitcoin savings in today's dollars have to be, so that you would start spending bitcoins, rather than saving?". That value would be 10,000,000$ for me, and it's completely independent of how much bitcoins I currently have. In fact, it is independent of whether my savings are in Bitcoin, gold, or whatever. I have less than 10 million, I save money, I have more than 10 million, I quit my day job, and start spending.

If you want your bitcoins to be worth $10,000,000, I suggest you start figuring out how to spend some of them every now and then. Support the businesses that are building the infrastructure around it.

I just read a book called "Irrational Exuberance." Not that bitcoin isn't on to something unforeseeably grand, but I see way too many votes for $100,000,000.

Ah, now we're playing a game in semantics. If OP truly meant "want" in the sense that you are implying, then everybody who wants $100,000,000 should have selected that option. I would argue that almost every rational adult wants $100,000,000. I don't believe this was the OP's intention...

I think he meant more along the lines of, "How much do you want for that Hank Aaron rookie card?" The question is customarily followed with an answer of how much the holder expects without getting into a semantic struggle when the implication is clear.

It depends how many coins they have right now though, doesn't it?  If someone has 100,000 coins then the price would need to get to 10,000 per coin for this to be a reality.  I assume most people on this board do not have that many though?  But you never know.

Haha I hope most people on this board do not own 100,000 BTC. If so, we're all in trouble.  :)

I want $126 per coin - because I'm happy to share! ;D  Ask me again in a week, and that price will probably go up slightly. ;)

Actually someone with 100,000 coins would only need to get $1,000/coin for a $100,000,000 payday.   :)

I want a million dollars for all my bitcoins.  Enough to pay off my mortgage and have some 'fun money' to spend.  All for doing nothing but sitting on my backside and running a bit of software.  Others have to do real work for a living.  Screw that.

I put $1,000,000 because I figure if I had a million dollars in a world where Bitcoin went mainstream, the economy would be so efficient (very low prices, very high quality of goods and services thanks to the internationalization of the division of labor and the toppling of vast swaths of the regulatory state) that it'd be enough money to do just about anything I'd ever want to do.

You want me to sell all my coins? Down to my last satoshi? Okay, my price is 5 million times Earth's gross planetary product. (Some people here say they'd never sell their last satoshi, not for all the money in the universe, but I'm slightly more flexible on this matter.)
