Title: Goodbye BCash? Is the war over with this Microsoft news? FOMO on BTC/LTC/ETH?
Post by: JuniAiko on February 15, 2018, 04:22:12 AM
Microsoft has concluded that so-called ‘layer 2’ solutions are necessary for Bitcoin to scale and is “collaborating” on the technology; rejects On-Chain solution that Bitcoin Cash adopts (which compromises the security and integrity of the blockchain itself!).

Also LTC/ETH are also mention as coins Microsoft is interested to work with, to improve scalability alongside BTC. :D

Looks like Bitcoin Cash price gains had also stopped now too vs BTC.

Microsoft is a dinosaur. They are just struggling to stay relevant. Nobody really cares what they think.

the "gains" of bitcoin cash and LTC and ETH have always been pumps nothing more. and currently BCH is keeping the price around 0.14BTC. they could have pumped it pretty good if this news didn't come out. now the pump will just be postponed LOL.

I certainlhy hope so, this has gotten ridiculous and I'm sick to death of this.. I actually own some bcash from the fork and I'd rather it just goto zero.. the amount of purposeful confusion this causes with bitcoin.com and bitcoin reddit.. and people calling it bitcoin cash vs bitcoin core is getting annoying.. It feels like its sole purpose was to double or triple Roger Ver's bitcoin stack and now thats happened.. can we please quit pumping bitcoin cash for whales to get rich and innocent hopefuls to get stuck bagholding?   I'm just so done with this.. I saw an article the other day about how forks are killing bitcoin and how infinite copies of its blockchain will drag its price down.. I definitely don't agree that bitcoin cash is the same as bitcoin but its quite frustrating that this ridiculous news article isn't even that untrue.

The BCash guys will just find another way to get out of this one. Roger Ver already mentioned in one of his videos that the Lightning Network might be one of the options to scale in the future. So they know Block size increases will not take them mainstream, but they can fly under the radar for now, whilst their volume of traffic is currently very small.

It is a Band-Aid on a knife wound, but they are ignoring that. ^lol^

I concur with you too. Enough of the forking.. which is a source of inflation on BTC, and people getting scammed or tricked into losing their coins due to the confusion caused. Forking IMO is pointless, especially those useless coins w/o any innovative vision and are just plagiarising off the original for the Dev team to profit. Never trust a forked coin that has a pre-mined of anything more than 0%.

At least there are very good reasons for LTC/ETH to be gaining if you read around the news, but there is nothing going for BCash at all.

There is no war; just two approaches to a scaling problem that no one seems to be able to agree on.

And why would that disagreement be automatically be settled just because someone from Microsoft picked a side? Far more qualified individuals have said this and that, and the debate isn't any closer to being resolved.

I'm not a fan of Bitcoin Cash's approach, but only time will really tell which is better. No single person or entity can decide that.

Microsoft is failed tech giant, and I really don't care much about bitcoins, they could fall and be zero lol. I would not even flinch my eyes when there is any news about microsoft taking a stand on crypto world, i'm surprised the OP has taken their word so seriously. Look at the charts this news had barely any impact and it won't to. Let google or apple say this and then see the price effects!

I am no fan of Microsoft neither, however I agree strongly with their stance on how to solve the scaling issue and that is about it.

Since Steve Job was gone, the quality of Apple products and customer service is going down-hill too, IMO.

Used to be a fan of Apple, but now I'm loving the sleek design of my Samsung Edge phone. :3

A dinosaur that almost has a monopoly in desktop operating systems and it is still one of the biggest tech companies with billions of dollars.

I doubt that "nobody really cares what they think". But would you favor it more if they said that bigger blocks were the way to scale blockchains?

Actually, the Lightning Network is pretty expensive for an ordinary users yet. This technology was designed rather for the big crypto exchange markets. Anyway, the transaction fees in Bitcoin Cash are more cheaper than in the current Bitcoin.

As a variant, to scale a trading market, the users can use, for example, Dash. Its instant transactions are enough secure.

I never owned any BCH and i had a bad impression on it because came out of nowhere with astonishing value, and no cut on BTC market cap. Its a formidable machine for mining and a diverse option for S9, but still... Lighting network seems so plain simple, transactions are fast and beyond cheap... this is how you will probably pay taxes in your country in the near future. If Microsoft wants decentralisation, why does not opt for ETH? since is combined the most with BTC and widespread.

Read the title and OP again. ;)

Well, considering how big Microsoft really is, I think their opinions really do affect almost anything connected to technologies. But whatever the case is, I really do hope that this thing really does cme true. Because honestly, I never really like bitcoincash. Which is why I never bothered to get my free bitcoin cash even when I had the chance to do so.

Bitcoin Cash is being pumped now :) lol

Time to SELL!!!

The only worth Bitcoin Cash and Ripple has IMO is for speculative trading. ;)

Bitcoin didn't need help from Microsoft to kill bcash but it is still a nice gesture.

Microsoft is on the right track. I might even setup a w10 on my new mining rig.

It's hurting all those in bcash to see nobody really fucks with them, the pain is real here  ;D.

That was probably a fan-boy/girl of Apple products (an even more excessively monopolizing company).  ;D
