Litecoin outdid all major cryptocurrencies as at Feb 14 2018, Could this be an indication of better things in terms of value are about to follow?

Litecoin still has a promosing road ahead of it, especially since Charlie Lee became more active about the development and roadmap.

The current price rise is most likely due to the announcement of the litecoin fork, which may or may not be a scam. I guess most people just want to make sure they hold some coins in case it goes big.


And this would also greatly help indeed!

Charlie Lee already denied that he and Litecoin team are not forking LTC so that killed any credibility for the fork, I doubt anyone is buying because of it. LitePay is probably the main reason even If I have some doubts.

After forked then ltc will make a nice correction to down side. But there are some rumors with microsoft too. ltc is really bullish now!

Sometimes there is no reason to go up, especially Litecoin.
I used to want to find out the reasons for the rise of Litecoin every times, but I didn't get any results. Litecoin could have a big increase at any time.

Any litecoin forked coin is a scam,charlie lee already announced that LTC wont have any forking but this litepay seems to be a good project and it could give every vendors the freedom to use litecoin,this is a game changer because it could be the reason why the main stream will use cryptocurrencies because as we all know LTC has fast transaction confirmation than bitcoin and ethereum.

If they do their own card that can be used everywhere it will beat most of coins on the market. Charlee is very clever person and he didn't fight with everyone) he just doing his coin better and this works)

They are not the creator of litecoin fork, and this can become another scam fork coin. Some reliable Twitter accounts have already posted about the litecoin fork is not officially from the team. Just like what already done in bitcoin.

This hype due to the future implementation of lightning network and litepay.

I believe the scammer only going to make an advantage over the good news from Litecoin. I'm sure there will be a lot of Litecoin fork in the coming days, just like the BItcoin fork.

Surprisingly even after Lee dumped his litecoin for the reason that he thought that price of litecoin at 300$ was way overprised,  Litecoin for now it seems is showing all signs of making a impulsive wave upwards.

Actually bitpay had the chance to integrate litecoin to their payment system but somehow they weren't interested in doing that. So Litepay INC along with the help of litecoin foundation started to build a truely fiat to litecoin gateway.

Investors could be getting in because of the possibility of the fork but I think that will linger for sometime, that is, if it is going to come. This then means we are going to be seeing litecoin ride more on that platform.

Not now, great news already played and you will not get good profit in short. Today are too much coins with much better to get in, why you want to try coin that willn't move too much for near 1-2 months.

Litecoin is an alt that keeps a very low profile. Its price is not moving fast as other coins do but it is less volatile comparing it with others.
It has very low fees, that makes it suitable for transactions, and in my opinion, it is ideal for long time investing.
It is one of the many coins in my portfolio.
LitePay is something new, and I like mostly the card idea, but I am not sure if the banks will allow people using it.

be very careful about this current litecoin price rise. it started with a nice hype after the Litepay announcement and also accompanied by the bitcoin price recovery and we all know that litecoin always follows bitcoin. but the ending part of it was because of the upcoming litecoin cash fork which is basically free money for LTC holders. and that may end with a big dump right as the fork is happening.

I can't say that Litecoin is about to go big because the price of this coin is not good and The annoucement of lite coin fork it will be a too effect of litecoin.

I read before few days about this. For me, for now everything is rumors. In fact, I am not sure that litecoin will ever going to go so big, as a lot of people expect. There are way too good other projects that have better potential than litecoin so for me, litecoin is not interest anymore.

i can expect 20-30% dump with respect to btc price from its ath level .

Yeah this is pretty huge. I am mad at myself because I held more LTC in my portfolio than anything else a little while ago and for some reason decided to sell when it shot up from $50 to $200. Yeah, I made a decent profit, but I used that money to buy coins that have performed much worse in recent weeks. Now to sell what I bought and convert it back to ltc would cause me a massive loss. Ugh. I am learning but it is painful.

I do believe in Litecoin since this has an impressive performance and a promising coin that needs to be considered by anyone. Despite the dips in bitcoin, still LTH manage to perform at green zone where it is now progressing effectively.
I would have say that it is not only more ample than Bitcoin, but it has appealed more people towards it lately and the process of putting in wallets has been the search of many search engines on the internet.

Litecoin is unique that its always been around but never really did much towards marketing, compared to Dash and some other coins. I remember the Litecoin foundation recently tweeting about doing more to market it and we will see how that does. As of the technology and purpose of LTC, I have no doubts we will have big things to come. Litepay is big and that and people wanting to get Litecoin Cash is probably why we have the recent uptrend. But I believe LTC is going to have a huge 2018. They will be first to implement Lighting network on the main net and I think they will also try and implement smart contracts and possibly private transactions in the future. I think it has positioned itself to do well in the future. I also do not think Charlie Lee selling his coins had any affect on LTC in the long run. People who are mad at him for that are just looking for reasons to blame the recent correction on. We just have to wait and see how this all ends up. But I wouldn't be surprised to see $1K+ LTC soon.

Litecoin quite stable "currency". If you want to enclose today, and tomorrow to sell. On it a lot of money you won't make that. And on a dolgosrok, good вapик. To take on good recession (140-170 as on me) and there will be to you a fairy tale. Has to jump still at least to 250.

I like LTC for small fees and nice speed. LTC project has a potencial like a payment coin with a good perfomences. Also it shows an active development.

You said the best, when people ask me which one is the best I don`t know what to tell them, in my opinion many of them can take the roll of the best investment for this year. Litecoin will be big, and liteapay is what they needed to continue their way up. That story about bitcoin to be saving and litecoin to be next currency starting to be like a real possible idea, litecoin is preparing to enter in many countries with their litepay, they are working on that idea for so long and rewards are coming. Litecoin today is 8% up, more then other cryptocurrencies, latest post from Charlie Lee sounds nice `The flippening (ETH>BTC) will never happen. There are a lot of strong coins that are not good buy and hodls at the moment. This is a crash pattern. This is not a market to be traded on technical advancements. You will get your crypto and fiat taken into the red. This is a traders market to be bought only during times when everyone is desperate and selling and sold when everyone is hopeful and screaming about Lambos and Moon. See about some ALT coins in 2019. litecoin still can reach values higher than this. so for investments in the long term then litecoin is the right choice. This is an altcoin which is quite long and even almost equals the bitcoin. for future litecoin will still keep promising than now.

IMHO, but litecoin will always lag behind all. First of all, one must understand that even its creator does not believe in his own (!!!) coin. This is very distressing.
Secondly, it's just a clone of bitcoin, which does not develop.

Very not understand cryptocurrency, I bought myself a little more on the rise of the market, now in deep red. Itself is good technology and team. I think the fact that happened, litecoin can not compete with alt on it. this is a powerful fact.

If there's new updates and progress from who ever team behind now from this coin, maybe price will go up again as bitcoin will bounce up once more, lite is one of those old coins which still moving and slowly increasing its value again even in slow pace, but afterwards there's always surprise inside this business who knows the platform will be used by another sets of developers and make this coin shine again like how ETH did, for the meantime we can also used this
coin trading and enjoy the quicker transfer and smaller fees.

Litecoin has proven its worth overtime and it is one of the top listed altcoins, so it's safe to say it has gained its stance in the market, and it wouldn't be surprising to see it skyrocket and hit its ATH. I think the days of Litecoin are numbered. There really isn't much development happening and it is nothing more than a clone of Bitcoin currently. Litepay was a dud and was not able to do anything. Plus there are far better projects currently being developed in the Crypto space which can beat Litecoin any day.

I dont think litecoin will grow that much , its just a clone coin of bitcoin, so people will buy bitcoin instead since it has more adoption.

Litecoin now cooperates with the WEG Bank AG. Maybe this corporation will liven up a bit Litecoin. The partnership has surprised me very much and it seems that Litecoin is not dead yet.  ;)

There’s a possibility that litecoin about to go big if they are belong to the demand business i this industry and business and if they are doing well to make their company very well known in this business.

I don`t think that is a major indication of anything really. Only that Litecoin was able to sustain and rise more in the given timeframe. Overall I don`t see Litecoin as a profitable long-term investment, that is why I would suggest it in your portfolio.

At this moment of time nothing is going up as the whole market is under crash and prices are going down each day and graphs turning green but this all wil l get over soon and btc will boost with bumps and so is the prices of LTC following its trend.Maybe we can see it as high to $250-$300 if everything goes in favour. So hope for the best.

Litecoin is one of the oldest and most stable coins on the crypto market.Without a doubt, there are some advantages with Litecoin but most of the current value of crpytocurrencies is based on speculation. I think it's up for the fork.Litecoin will soon be at the top!

I don't see a place under the sun for altcoin, dash, NEM and all this variations of Bitcoin. Best case scenario, they will have some niche feature that Bitcoin does not have and serve a small niche market.

It's interesting to see how much the market can change.

Litecoin is one of the better blockchain coins, but the older ones are really starting to show their last legs.
Blockchain tech has made so much progress and there are far more superior cryptos out there now.
I just don't see how there is any way for the traditional blockchain to compete.

On the other hand, feeless, instant cryptos are getting well established (iota, nano, byteball etc.)
and crypto that offer a multitude of network building are the norm (eth, neo, ada, etc.)

The future will be with crypto solutions that offer a lot of options and don't have to go through the mess of high transaction costs.
