in my case how do I change my avatar? #consider the profile I have and how can avatars get installed on my profile but my rank in member  :'(

There was a time before when the admin was trying to adjust the forum settings and allowed even newbies to add avatars but it was turned off by the admin and that made those avatars permanent until such time that the rank reached a level that allows the member to avatars. So in your case, you need to wait until you reach full member rank then a link will appear in your settings that will allow you to upload pics to be used for avatars.

But off course there's an exception if admin will remove that for you.

i want to delete it now but i did not find the delete button avatar, if i wait for full member rank too long because there is merit feature that make difficulties for ranking, i more agree about admin want help delete and how do they remove this avatar?

I'm also curious on how this happened. If the account created years ago and he's a member rank it's possible to wear avatar but it also caught my attention that an account created last year and how it was able to wear an avatar. I was about to suggest him that he can press the upload button without any chosen file/photo to upload but I remember that member ranks doesn't have the avatar feature.

1.Stop Bumping your post more than once in < 2 hours.
2.To remove your avatar,go to your profile and without selecting/uploading a new file just press the Upload button.

Edit: Are you able to see the avatar option on your profile ?

if I can find the upload button to replace or delete the avatar I have done without creating this thread, this is why I created this thread because I can not delete or replace it myself, I need the person who has the highest position here to help this Theymose can solve the problem this small.  :'( :'(

You must have either deleted your own posts or had them deleted by the moderators and that resulted in you being demoted from Full Member back to Member. The only way to get rid of or change that avatar is to get ranked up back to Full Member. theymos has better things to do with his time than delete your avatar.

I know the choice is only to be downgraded to a member or to stay in my full member no matter what I want just want to delete this avatar, and I will not delete this thread before the moderator or administrator of this forum help TO REMOVE MY AVATAR.

There is a huge backlog of people who have had their accounts hacked waiting to get them back because the administrators are run off their feet. If you think your avatar is going to feature on their to-do list I think you are somewhat deluded.

I still believe theymos or moderator will fix my account, I'll wait for her here.

That is weird. The avatar should have been disappered, when you were downgraded. Maybe a search could help. I think, that could have been happened also a few times before and there is maybe a solution.

I already told you. The option to add or remove an avatar is only available to Full Member and above accounts. You will need to rank up again before it can be done. The administrators will not do anything about this.

I think, it should be corrected by theymos. Before merit system was implemented, it was no problem, because it was no long wait, when beeing downgraded to become full member again, but in new cases, the avatar should automaticly disappear after downgrade.

what is the solution? I think only people who have high positions here that can provide a solution  :-\

it should be so yes this is the weakness of merit system which of course has not been prepared by themmos maximally, seen from this case. I do not care and it does not matter if it should have a rank member, all I want to do is delete this avatar  :-\

No, the avatar would not disappear when an account is downgraded. Originally all accounts were allowed an avatar but that the source of an exploit when the forum got hacked in 2013. That's when the restriction was put in place but accounts that already had avatars kept them.

In the end, it is down to you that you got downgraded from Full Member either by deleting your own posts or posting things that needed to be deleted by the moderators. That's why the administrators will not help you and the only way to resolve this is to rank up again.

Well, if administrators and moderators do not help then they are not careful in overcoming trivial things like this, and do not want to know how to overcome big things? very terrible  :o

The idea was great by Pugman. Too bad it did not work.




I think nevertheless, Theymos should find a solution, because it is not only an issue for the member, but also for the company, who's avatar he is wearing.

Moderators can't deal with only the two administrators can. It is precisely because they are so busy trying to deal with more important issues like people being locked out of their hacked accounts that they don't have time to deal with something trivial and self-inflicted like this.

I prefer with answers like this, not only support the merit system but this if it can be a consideration and one of the BUG in resulting from the system that does not work properly.

You might not like my answers but I told how the problem occurred and the only way to remedy it. I'm trying to save you from wasting time here. You may have noticed that none of the moderators or admins has replied and I would think it is very unlikely they will. It's not a bug or a system not working properly, you're not supposed to get your rank demoted.

I do not open an account or active in this forum when I open and play again I am very surprised how can my ranking go down when I do not feel delete the post or post deleted by the moderator it does not leave any trace or notice at all. how can you call it not BUG? it is clear that it should be for the account that down the rank of full member to the member then it should be automatically will hide or delete the avatar that exists, while this avatar is still installed it is clear this is a BUG if you know a system.

It usually was no problem.Sometimes threads are deleted and all, who posted there, got their posts deleted with no notice. It was no problem to uprank, before merit was implemented and there was no need for a correction. But now we have another situation.

So what happened was you posted in a lot of spam megathreads that the moderators have then trashed. When the whole thread gets deleted you don't get any notification so that is the only way that can happen.

It's not a bug, it could be made to hide avatars when they are already set on accounts below Full Member but they didn't do that when many hundreds of people had them in 2013 so I can't see one person being stuck with an avatar they don't want now being treated as an emergency worth re-coding for.
